@@komizo_lab that's true, but that doesn't mean that you can't create interesting levels on this. It is still possible even with this limitation. Just remember RE Contamination in darkness, it used rendered flash flairs instead. The only question is "who will start doing this at all". If people just say honestly: "Nah, I'm just not interested in making SH themed mod", that will make no complaints. The free time of every mod maker is priceless.

@@komizo_lab I FOUND IT the dualshock version of PS1 battle mode, the effect will play when the character move from one level to another (lab (the tram door) > Sewer (the front sewer door) > Policestation)

If Resident Evil engine was used, the Silent Hill flashlight would not be possible. That is a great invention by Konami.

The patch is not required but is recommended because it provides better graphics.
With this, you could have Nemesis bursting through doors on-screen.
