I was born in Guernsey but my Dad was born in Perry Bar. I've supported the Villa for 29 years and only ever managed to watch 4 games when I was young.

I was at leeds last night. It was one of the worst games I've been to as a leeds fan of 27 years. Bravo to villa, totally dominated the game. We played well for 15 minutes in the 2nd half then it was game over. Its a shame this game wasn't played in December as planned, might have been a different story with bielsa.
Oh well, well deserved win for villa.

Max, you know how much I have a soft spot for villa as an Evertonian. I've told you loads of times, and if I didn't love Coutinho enough, I definitely do now. I captained him on fpl so he got like 25 points doubled to 50 and carried my team to 124 points. I also had Cash and Martinez. Great vlog again mate

Thought sanson looked good again when he came on..Nice little one touch passes ran forward with the ball and just generally very tidy in possession and like Coutinho always in the right place at the right time to recieve the ball off a team mate..really need to keep him imo
great result for the villa boys good to see Chambers get his first goal for Villa .Our three best player performances against Leeds was from Coutinho , McGinn and Cash. Sadly Villa fans will never see the McGinn that plays for Scotland an attack minded player .
Gerrard has McGinn now as a defensive minded player so us Villa fans don't expect a high ratio of goals and assists from McGinn in a season. Gerrard has our right back Matt Cash as a more attacking role than McGinn .
Like I've said in the past McGinn would play as goalkeeper if Gerrard asked him in that position so as to play for the great club of Aston Villa .
McGinn is a world class attacking midfielder for Scotland . If McGinn played the same positional role he plays for Scotland McGinn for villa would at least score 8 to 12 goals a season and assists around the same ratio per season.
Still feel that McGinn will not be able to show his full potential as a player playing for Villa under Gerrard playing in more defensive deeper position.
I First watched McGinn play for Hibernian when first signed at the age of 21 and the player then is not the same attacking minded player for Villa last season under Deano and now this season Gerrard .
Ings and Watkins are beginning to gel as a partnership but the missing link is McGinn with Coutinho in a more forward position playing as a false number 9 or inverted right sided midfielder .
Villa will easily finish 8th possibly 7th place and qualify for the European conference league next season . UTV Hibernian and Villa fan
Just wait until Villa get that DCM in the summer.......then you'll see the best of McGinn. Luiz isn't defensively astute enough so that's why McGinn has to help out. When Marv Nakamba is back.......you may see McGinn play more forward because Nakamba is a far better DCM than Luiz.......therefore McGinn won't have to worry about defending so much.

I've been watching your posts for a few years. I'm Stourbridge born but living in New Zealand. Went to Villa Park the season we finished 2nd in the early 90s when God played. This helps me feel part of the action again even though I'm so far away. Cheers Matt and team. Would love to see the team live again some day.
