Beautiful nature reserve David. Long time since I’ve seen a Caterpillar . Stunning butterfly. We have a Leven st here in Invercargill , named after the town Leven in Scotland , which I never thought twice about until I saw your clip. Early settlers had fond memories I bet.
Hi Maxine, that’s really interesting you have a Leven Street. It’s incredible the number of places around the world that have names originating from Scotland. Really glad you enjoyed seeing the caterpillar & butterfly. I was so happy to see them, although I had to be quick with my camera 📷 as they move fast! Thanks for watching and for commenting all the way from lovely New Zealand. Hope you have a lovely week. Warmest best wishes, David 🙂
Beautiful part of the world! I love the nature reserve around Loch Leven. Beautifully captured too David. Another excellent video and good to see you in front of the camera as well. It has made me one for the summer already. Keep up the great work! 👍
Thanks Richard, it's one of my favourite places for wildlife and I'm always amazed at what I come across. It's great for butterflies and hopefully I can capture a few more this year. I'm hoping to cycle the whole route soon, once I get the broken gears on my bike fixed! I'm really looking forward to the Spring too and the lighter nights when I can be out longer. Thanks so much for watching and catch up with you soon :-)
Another great video! It was nice to see everything green with flowers and insects, it is very cold and snowy here in Pennsylvania USA. Thank you David for another excellent video
Hi Tammy, hope you’re well and thanks for watching all the way from Pennsylvania. Yes, it was such a beautiful day when I filmed and I’m really looking forward to the Spring when everything bursts back into life. It’s a cold, rainy January day here in Edinburgh and I’m definitely looking forward to brighter nights and warmer weather. Hope you have a good week and thanks again for watching. Best wishes, David 🙂
I've never been here, it looks like it's worth visiting. Just nice to be out in the country, what I need at the moment in a time of stress for me. So thank you, take care.
Thanks for watching Janet and I hope whatever you’re going through improves soon. Life can be so tough at times. Nature and filming are my go to places when things are tough and I’m really glad that you enjoyed the video. Take really good care of yourself. All the best, David
Yay! We finally have time to catch up with your videos 🥳 what a lovely place. And looks perfect for a swim! Maybe we’ll see this in a future vlog?! 😉the butterfly you captured was beautiful and the cafe looked great. Haven’t had a treacle scone in a long time! Lovely to see Scotland in the sun and looking forward to the arrival of the summer months (although I think we’ll be getting plenty of vitamin d over the next few months!). Another great video David. You always find places we would never think to visit so this place will definitely be going on our list 👍🏻
So glad you enjoyed it and I hope you had a great flight out and are relaxing into your new adventure 🙂 Really looking forward to seeing your new vlogs and following your adventures. Yes, I can thoroughly recommend the nature trail around the loch and the butterflies and other wildlife were just amazing. Sadly Loch Leven Castle is closed just now, but I’ll definitely do another video when it reopens. Take good care of yourselves and wishing you the most wonderful big day. All the best, David 🙂
Thanks for watching Alan. It’s one of my favourite walks and the wildlife you can see is wonderful. It’s a shame the Castle is closed just now, but hopefully it’ll reopen soon. Hope you’re having a good weekend, all the best David
A huge thanks to everybody who watched and commented on the last video. I really appreciate it -🙂 You'll probably notice that this was filmed in the summer last year! I've only just managed to finish editing it - but I hope you'll still enjoy it, and it gives you somewhere else to add to your 'must-do' in Scotland list. Loch Leven is truly a world class nature reserve and an extremely important wetland habitat for all kinds of birds and insects. It's very special and well worth a visit. Sadly, Loch Leven Castle isn't open at the moment, but I'll revisit when it does reopen and make a wee film of my visit. Hope you have a lovely weekend and if you'd like me to show you around Edinburgh, please have a look at the tours and photography courses on my website - www.adventuresinscotland.uk or on Viator and Tripadvisor. Best wishes, David
Thanks so much Cols that's really kind of you and much appreciated. I'm struggling to keep going with UA-cam, but I enjoy doing it and will persevere. Hope you have a lovely weekend and thanks again for subscribing. Best wishes, David :-)
Thanks Sky, really glad you enjoyed it and many thanks for watching. Yes, we are indeed extremely lucky to live in such an amazing country as Scotland and the older I get the more I’m in awe of its incredible natural beauty and wildlife. Hope you can visit us one day. Warmest best wishes, David 🙂

Great video but slight mistake on location. Kinross isn't part of Fife. It's part of Perth & Kinross.
Yes, you're absolutely right, thanks for mentioning. Since I was a child, I've just always though of it as Fife, but you're absolutely right :-)
It is right on the boundary of Fife though .
