Glad to see you analyzing Lies of P music. Hoping to see you analyze the rest of the soundtrack, especially Why, Feel, or the instrumental version of Fascination.
There are so many warm memories from that. Haven’t played Lies of P yet but it is as if it’s the complete opposite of the bloodborne dlc where we venture into it’s worlds most horrific past sins.
I know the musical themes of Elden Ring is supposed to convey some sense of dignity, but the warmth of Lies of P, it’s optimistic tone despite the world - it conveys it much more effectively than Elden Ring
It really is a soundtrack that speaks to my heart more than any other game ive played. The hope, the melancholy, the soulfulness that encompasses all of it makes it a truly beautiful ost
Probably one of the more interesting game OSTs ever. Few games had me search and listen their ost after im done with the game, especially the songs where Seo Jayeong does the vocals, incredible!
In a way, what this sounds like to me is hopeful discovery. The thrill of seeing a beautiful place for the first time and falling in love. Almost reminds me of the first glimpse of Columbia in Bioshock infinite. It’s beautiful
No game makes me feel at home as Lies of P and the music is a huge part of it. Stark contrast to the epic and intense boss music (which is also great). I don’t care if I’m asked to rank FS’s Souls games, I’m still gonna say Lies of P damn near tied with Bloodborne at the top. Absolute love letter brimming with passion and talent and an easy top 5 game of all time for me. This new song is a perfect representation of this.
Lies of P is the complete package. Looking forward to the DLC and sequel. Also when stuck at any Lies of P boss it’s worth farming a bit and stock up on throwables and maybe summoning a specter. Throwables are OP af 😂
Yess I'm so glad to see someone analysing Lies of Ps music, it's so beautiful and underrated! If you haven't already I would love to see you check out other tracks like Shadow Flower or Proposal, Flower, Wolf (which I believe the game director himself does vocals for) :D
Also it's really interesting how you mention that you feel a sense of love because that is one of the central themes of LoP and it plays a huge role in the game's endings, depending which one you get it shows a different kind of love in a sense.
you channel reminds me of the channel from Elizabeth Zharoff, also a (former) opera singer with her channel called The Charismatic Voice. And she now has her channel devoted to analysing and researching heavy metal vocalists(and debunking the stereotype that it 'harming' the voice), and interviewing other vocalists, reacting to rock music. Both having the same background but found an interest that would be looked down upon by people who are from a classical music background. idk, its cool to see how life can change and how interests can develop to a different field like this, while still maintaining a passion and interest in music.
I love that the Lies of P soundtrack is beginning to have a signature instrument (the accordion) with the inclusion of this new track. I'm looking forward to hearing more. (i wonder if they remixed more DJMAX tracks?)
It looks like the original version of Lisrim was composed by Onoken, and listening to that and the Lies of P version makes me REALLY enjoy this melody.
The raw emotions of the music is haunting, breathtaking, bittersweet and hopeful. It made the story so cinematic and my favorite game. I'm excited for the DLC
Lies of P as a whole surprised me. The gameplay was solid, the artstyle beautiful, the story incredibly well-thought and hopeful even when dark, and the music addictive to listen to. I can't tell you how many times I have listened to its tracks on repeat because they're so beautiful. And now we get Lisrim as a taste of things to come. Man, I love this game. Decided to also check if Lisrim came from DJMAX. Figured that was the case, considering some of the other tracks in the game. Did I mention I love this game?
@@MarcoMeatball It's the sequel to Hollow Knight. It's gone through over 4 years of delays at this point. (It's a common joke in the Hollow Knight community to act like Silksong doesn't exist so honestly I can't tell if this is a joke or not.)

Spoilers for post credits . . . I get the feeling the dlc is connected to the broken stargazer you find in the entrance to the Malum District (I can not remember if I spelled that right). It looked like it was important, and when you try to use it, it says it does not work. There is a sequel in the makes as well, though, which is probably the Wizard of Oz tie-in.
@@michaelcreel6522holy crap I didn't think about that! I always wondered what that Stargazer was for, it would make a lot of sense for that to be the access point for the DLC.

Wish half granted but still happy. Hope this motivates you to listen to more of the soundtrack, especially Since davi beat you to it lol. I’m kidding just enjoy the music bro

I’ve been going through a lot recently, and this song grounded me when I needed it. It just has so much “soul” in it, and I look forward to everything to come for Lies of P.
I've played Cello for over 13 years and this game's music absolutely blew me away, there's so much passion and appreciation put into it. I love that you're covering it.
I spent a combined 4-5 hours to beat King of Puppets on my first playthrough, so I definitely understand why he would roadblock you from the rest of the game. They did rebalance him some in a later update though so I'd 100% recommend going back to try and finish the game

Laxasia got destroyed first try. But the most fun by far was nameless puppet. Probably because it was the first boss I had to do solo. He got obliterated cuz he is super easy but it reminded me a lot of the best Bloodborne and semipro bosses

Lies of P is so far the best soul-slike outside of Fromsoft games, it has so much soul (unintended choice of words) to it that when you can make your character more human you can also make more human yourself
This begins with a feeling of starting on a journey, like Bilbo leaving the Shire to go on an adventure, then picks up in complexity like you're beginning to encounter different things from where you began, the 'bigger world" so to speak. An accordion (or in my mind the first thought was a concertina) is an intimate, solo instrument which fits with the theme of setting out on a journey by yourself. The cello (which is in the register of a baritone, not a mezzo soprano) adds the masculine element of discovery, of encountering more than yourself and your own thoughts. The violin adds a lot of emotion, as though the adventurer is going through inward emotional experiences in addition to the outward journey. This whole piece to me says 'journey', a quest of discovery, both outwardly and inwardly. It has a very personal, intimate feel to it. Since this is the music of the DLC, I wonder if this incorporates Dorothy musically. Is she the violin? If Pinocchio is the accordion, the piano and cello are the movements, the motion of the journey, is the violin the emotional encounter of Dorothy trying to find her way home? I can't wait until this DLC is released!
What a beautiful piece! From what I can hear and feel, the DLC piece could be taking us somewhere near the water, it has that port town feeling, it's all calm and upbeat, but has that underlying sadness to it. This is likely the theme of that supposed port town!
