1:10 I'd say the last one, The Dark Knight Rises, isn't about pain, but it's about hope. Hope for Bruce to find a life beyond being batman, and hope for the freedom of the people in the prison pit.
That first Batman/Bane fight is one of my favorites. The cinematography throughout is just amazing. It's an out of shape, but determined Bruce meeting a very focused and dangerous Bane.
From the darkness, the realisticality, the actors, the scores... and just everything... I’m in love with the Dark Knight trilogy. I see it as one movie, and I just can’t get enough. Christopher Nolan did an amazing job, and I doubt any other comic-based movie series can top it
I know they never mentioned venom but, he did have enhanced strength, he took out a portion of the pillar when he threw a punch at Batman. Also, Batman's mask leaves open the mouth and covers the rest of his head, opposite for Bane. And they also recorded the crowd at the football game for Bane's Rise theme. And did Bruce really need the brace because he's pretty healed without it later and in the pit.
Great analysis of a movie that definitely gets too much unfair criticism because of its outstanding predecessor. No question in my mind that (1) The Dark Knight, (2) The Dark Knight Rises and (3) Batman Begins; though all three together form something greater than the sum of its parts. Nolan is a genius, and I would be thrilled for him to step in and save the DC universe.
I loved this movie Tom Hardy did great job as Bane in my opinion he didnt use venom in the movie becuse it would turn him a big fat silly i am glad he didnt use it
I always felt the pain killer his mask fed him allowed him to push past the mental restrictions most people have. It numbs his pain receptors without dulling his senses. I respected it as a real world explanation of the Venom serum.
yeah it was a stellar way to throw in some kind of"drug" yet make it believable, if he is taking it to numb pain he can also train harder and become stronger as well, and being numb to half batmans blows definitely helps too haha..good twist on an awesome villian
I so wish I could erase this film from my memory so I could see it again for the first time and relive the experience. This was my greatest theater experience ever.
My older brother took me to see this in theaters back in 2012 and he unfortunately passed away in 2016 so when I watched this movie a couple days ago it was really tough I got really sad cuz the movie recaptured the memory of seeing this with him.
What an awesome video. I agree wholeheartedly with the point he made about how TDKR would be perceived if it were the direct follow-up to Batman Begins instead of TDK. It would likely be considered the greatest and most epic standalone superhero movie of all time. Certainly the most nuaned and sophisticated. The Dark Knight set the bar very high.
It is cool to see nolan make the times actually sync up. Very cool. What a great trilogy, fantastic job from everyone involved in these batman movies. All the actors are outstanding.
The Breaking Ice also calls back to him acting hasty when sparring Ra's on the ice and then he falls in and the focus is on warming up his torso ...in TDKR Bruce runs in thinking he'd easily defeat Bane and falls in...focusing on his core. These films are so deep. Appreciate the film review. These films inspired us to make films too. Cheers, brother.
Back in july 2012 I just got my eyes laser surgery done. In a strange city, where I came to the hospital for a treatment, it was beautiful sunny summer, when the next day after the surgery I got out on the southern streets with my -8 magically transformed to +1. After doctor said that everything went beter then he expected, I was walking, exploring the city, passing by the old cinema. For my surprise it was the first day of The Dark Night Rises movie. I still remember, that on the working day at 11 a.m. there were just a few people watching the movie. Escaping merciless light and heat of the sun, in the pleasant darkness of the movie, I remember how it felt, like it was the first movie I've ever watched. It was purely ecxiting! After many years it's still my favorite Batman movie. I love every single thing about it.
When it was released I felt upset. There was so much hype it was impossible live up to it. Couple of years later and I loved it. More than that. If I need to choose which part to rewatch again, it will be Rises.
Bane wasn’t ex-communicated because he was too cruel. He was ex-communicated because he could not forgive R’as Al Ghul for abandoning Talia and made this clear to him

I don't really see him as a good fit for that role, but would love to see him play someone else; someone that he fits better as.
Masterwizard25
How about, instead of Mr. Fantastic. He'd be a perfect Mister Miracle for the eventual Justice League 2 with Darkseid.
Wow no... Mr fantastic has to be ripped athletic and play off as a huge dorky nerd. Also black.
“WHERE ARE YOU!!!” “Here.”
“He’s behind you.”
“Who?”
“Me.”
Ahhh
Christopher Nolan did an amazing job, and I doubt any other comic-based movie series can top it
Why isn't The Dark Knight Rises on Netflix but Batman Begins and Dark Knight is. I want the trilogy on their.
TAPKING13 none of it is on Netflix?
Now nothing’s on there
There*
The dark night is
Arent all the movies except rises on Netflix?
These are arguably your best videos

*The Dark Knight* > *The Dark Knight Rises* > *Batman Begins* > (empty space) > (more empty space) > all other DC movies
Nolan creates works of art
I would switch Batman begins and dark knight rises but I still love all of them
What about Tim Burton's Batman(1989)?
@@nahcKE im talking about the nolan trilogy, if i did all of the different batmans it would be too much work
Anne Hathaway is so hot
waterlegend72 yeah chief
bane is so hot
Lol you watch a 43 minute video and this is all you had to say xd
@@kingpuff2272 Okay, yeah. That's true.
No no no guys
The joker is the hottest
I know they never mentioned venom but, he did have enhanced strength, he took out a portion of the pillar when he threw a punch at Batman. Also, Batman's mask leaves open the mouth and covers the rest of his head, opposite for Bane. And they also recorded the crowd at the football game for Bane's Rise theme. And did Bruce really need the brace because he's pretty healed without it later and in the pit.
Never realized how poetic this movie was made...... So freaking good!!
I loved this movie Tom Hardy did great job as Bane in my opinion he didnt use venom in the movie becuse it would turn him a big fat silly i am glad he didnt use it
That's ok because now he IS Venom!
Burn Gorman for me a small role but I love him
I always felt the pain killer his mask fed him allowed him to push past the mental restrictions most people have.
Fo you
Yes I want Christopher Nolan Nigtwing movie
I so wish I could erase this film from my memory so I could see it again for the first time and relive the experience. This was my greatest theater experience ever.
My older brother took me to see this in theaters back in 2012 and he unfortunately passed away in 2016 so when I watched this movie a couple days ago it was really tough I got really sad cuz the movie recaptured the memory of seeing this with him.
@@wattsnottaken1 time heals all wounds but damn them random memories do come at you very hard
It was thrilling seeing this one in the theater!
@@p_nk7279 Agree, this was the most epic conclusion I have ever seen. Easily the greatest conclusion to any trilogy
Cant pick between the dark night and rises. They are both just so good.
I'm reminded how Caine as Alfred gave such a seriousness to all this crazy shit going on . He really is an all time great actor .
*THINGS ARE WORSE THAN EVER!*
For you
Yes they are. But the night is darkest just before the dawn, and I promise you, that dawn is coming
Rory Schuller wow. Thank you :,)
FCB 2513 he should turn himself in
So be it. Take the Batman into custody.
Just grateful to have had the pleasure of watching these Nolan Dark Knight movies in our lifetime..
Can you please do this type of video on Blade Runner 2049?
I would prefer one for the original Blade Runner
Miro Wallin YEEESSSSSSS. I would love that?
YES, PLEASE! (both of them would be great!)
Fjonin yup up for both !
Snoi Med would be up for that as well but the blade series has only 2 movies ?
My favorite details are the ice breaking in the title sequence and the fact that the rise chant is played during the opening plane hijack.
0:29 - "yay voices" how goddamn cute is that :D
I think this film gets far too much criticism. It may not be the 'best' in the series, necessarily, but it IS my favourite.
It is cool to see nolan make the times actually sync up. Very cool. What a great trilogy, fantastic job from everyone involved in these batman movies. All the actors are outstanding.
Dark night rises is my favorite of the Christopher Nolan Batman movies. And yes, I would see a nightwing/ Joseph Gordan Levit movie
Yessss i would love a movie with him and the dark knight rises best movie for me in history
its my favourite in the trilogy
Michael Otis Same
Joker?
History? What year are you stuck in?
The Breaking Ice also calls back to him acting hasty when sparring Ra's on the ice and then he falls in and the focus is on warming up his torso ...in TDKR Bruce runs in thinking he'd easily defeat Bane and falls in...focusing on his core. These films are so deep. Appreciate the film review. These films inspired us to make films too. Cheers, brother.

Da best trilogy ever made! ❤
Let's not forget the Back to the Future Trilogy, even though that 3rd movie wasn't the best.
Cardboard Box Thank you! No-one else came up with that yet! I love that franchise (and number three was fine)
Until they make the incredibles 3
The cops vs. League imagery truly hasn't aged well
I already loved this movie, but this video made me appreciate it so much more
It’s so difficult to chose my favourite between those 3 film on this trilogy. Like every movies have their own interpretation
Couldn’t wait for you guys to do this
When it was released I felt upset. There was so much hype it was impossible live up to it.
Couple of years later and I loved it. More than that. If I need to choose which part to rewatch again, it will be Rises.
How do you do it.... you just amaze me everytime with all the hidden gems. I love these vids.
Wow this explanation is deeeeeeeppp
Eye Dupppz right? So much more appreciation with all of the Tale of Two Cities references.
Given the present lockdown in NYC, this movie foretells the coming darkness. Hmmm!
how about now with the Riots
Bane wasn’t ex-communicated because he was too cruel. He was ex-communicated because he could not forgive R’as Al Ghul for abandoning Talia and made this clear to him
i will love to see joseph gordon levitt as nightwing
continuing within the Universe on film he would have skipped both Robbin & Nightwing stages becoming the next Batman directly.
I would love to see Jesse Eisenberg as the Joker
I love this Bane. One of my favorite movie villains.
Nolan should definitely do a Nightwing Trilogy. He set it up so well, and I want to see how he'd handle depicting other villains.
This is definitely a legendary movie and trilogy, ended perfectly
I'm late to the party but I loved these recaps. Only thing I would have changed is your closing question. The question I've been asking since TDKR release is "Is this the greatest movie trilogy of all time?" The answer of course, is yes!
Also, a Nolan Nightwing movie with Levitt should have happened a long time ago. It's criminal that it hasn't.
