- This video is purely my opinion based on the experience gained during my tenure at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, NIFT, New Delhi and at the Fashion Institute of Technology, FIT, New York. I was a part of the (FIT) program from 2018 to 2019 and over the years the pattern for entrance might had changed. Also considering the situation of the pandemic, there might be some new rules that have been applied.

I'm currently a 3rd sem student at NIFT Delhi, what tips can you give for clearing the 1st Round at NIFT and what should our portfolio portray exactly? What kind of questions are asked in the on spot examination and how can I prepare for it? I currently have a CGPA of 8.6 from my first year, is that considered to be good or does it put me low in the list of applicants? And lastly is there any preference of campus or does it all depend on your portfolio?

Ma'am...will they conduct viva or written exam for the students selection from NIFT to FIT?
The criteria keeps changing but most probably a written exam.

Ma'am....if we opt dual degree...then 3rd year and 4th year we will be in FIT?...
For the dual degree program - You will do your associates degree at FIT for one year in your third year. You will have to come back to NIFT to complete your undergraduation (forth year).

No, dual degree program is only for FIT
What will be the extra fee other than nift fee for fit after doing 2-3 years in NIFT and then to join fit
For your third year - You will not be paying NIFT's fee, You will pay one year FIT fee.
Does one have to pay the fee of nift as well as fit during that associate degree
No, you don't need to pay any NIFT fees for third year if you're studying at FIT.
do we have to give IELTS, if having a bachelors in english hons ? to get into FIT, please help.
Yes, you will have to give an english proficiency test - IELTS or TOEFL as a requirement from FIT. You can check the FIT website for the minimum score required to qualify.

No, the dual degree program is only for the undergraduate students
