Same happened in Ghana somewhere last year. Ghana Police tracked and arrested over 400 of them. Many of the scammer were Nigerians. Your Government could do same if they really want to curb it down.
Loan shark companies, Betting platform, investment platforms, drugs and alcohol are all in the same category. If someone says 15% in 30 days that means you will be paying 180% of that money in a year. Stop patronizing these criminals.

They are scammers. Tree loan tried to give me a loan that I never wanted but they said that I collected that I did then started threatening me but I didn't agree.
I have a friend that this happened to , its a vicious cycle, this loan company started sending harassing text and then sent his picture and texts to all his contacts , monies were being taken out of his bank account that wasn't associated with the original loan ,it's terrible that these practices continue

Why will anyone take a loan from an online loan finance company which has no structure/office on the ground. All finance company are supposed to be registered by the central bank and doing so, MUST have a structure/office on tbe ground. 😑

I took loans in 2021 ,2022 and didn't pay back 😂😂 they blacklisted my BVN 😂 When I wanted to do easy buy I found out I just laughed I called my sister to come help me which her BVN she did and I got a phone from easy buy of 200k and deposited 142k Omo nah so I pay back the the rest of the money under one month because I did to pay everything off in 3 months They were surprised I paid it all off in one month since then they've been calling my sister 😂 Begging and introducing her loan offer she told me and I told her no That she shouldn't

Hundeyin saying Nigerian banks don't give loan to smaller businesses in Nigerian is false. They do and they do it a lot. There are requirements for different banks, most Nigerians don't know the requirements and don't care to know or work in-line with the banks requirements.
Yes there is a lot the govt can do if they serious and alive to their responsibility and it is very simple, takes only only hours to establish a dedicated cbn website meant for verifying licensed agents and their registration numbers so that in the event they go rouge and start harassing you, you can go back to the govt website and file a complaint. Cbn must have active investigators whose sole job is to investigate, make arrest and charge same to courts. You may be surprised to know that is postal service have investigators retired from law enforcement who investigates mail fraud. Officials of the Nigerian govt knows all these good things to do but like govt at all levels, if you establish these bureaucracies and have to pay the personnel's, there will be little money to steal, and their you have it.
What should one do in a situation where you actually paid off on two installments in a period of 3 days intervals pf due date. And they rather keep harrasing that person???

If for any reason you get fixated in the terrible situation described, to ease harassments, go to the specific app setting and turn off access to contact, sms, and gallery. Wipe information from the App and then delete the app. This guys are called loan shark for a reason. They prey on the the ignorance and low socioeconomic status of the middle to low class consumers.
