BRITISH PATHÉ'S STORY
Before television, people came to movie theatres to watch the news. British Pathé was at the forefront of cinematic journalism, blending information with entertainment to popular effect. Over the course of a century, it documented everything from major armed conflicts and seismic political crises to the curious hobbies and eccentric lives of ordinary people. If it happened, British Pathé filmed it.
Now considered to be the finest newsreel archive in the world, British Pathé is a treasure trove of 85,000 films unrivalled in their historical and cultural significance.
British Pathé also represents the Reuters historical collection, which includes more than 136,000 items from the news agencies Gaumont Graphic (1910-1932), Empire News Bulletin (1926-1930), British Paramount (1931-1957), and Gaumont British (1934-1959), as well as Visnews content from 1957 to the end of 1984. All footage can be viewed on the British Pathé website. www.britishpat...
The last film in COLOR, of the estates mini train was actually used in the tv show of "The Avengers" episode called, "THE GRAVE DIGGERS," in the 1960s in black and white, and seen in the U.S.A. And featuring the eccentric owner who dressed in a train uniform, but was also a reminder of the U.S. Kids tv show on cbs tv of "Captain Kangaroo " on weekdays mornings that starred the late Mr. Bob Keeshan for nearly 30 years until ending in the mid 1980's. Starring with Patrick Mcnee as Mr. Steed the spy who fought the villain while the train was in motion, while using the 4-4-2-ATLANTIC-type steam locomotive. And the beautiful Miss Diana Riggs as the lovely Mrs. Peele who was captured by the villains who tied her to the miniature tracks while Mr. Steed fought the henchman , and Steed stopped the little engine just in the nick of time!!!!! Thank you Jesus, AMEN!!!!! FRI, JULY 15, 2022, A.D.

now who wants them since I sure do
Surely you have information on whre these trains were running?
I suspect most of them have long gone now except the RHDR, which is still running between...
Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch !
Sadly, that's probably the case, though that doesn't stop me wanting some info. I recognised the RH&DR.
The line shown at 4:30 is still running, its called Talyllyn Railway now and has all the original locos still.
i shall mention the ones i know
ravenglass and eskadale railway (very nice),
Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway,
tallylyn railway,
snowdon mountain railway,
and many others
Next months theme.... TRAMS
make Britain Great again!
with miniature railways. It's the only thing missing.
The only way Britain's going to be great again is if all of you get active in the government of your country and I mean all of you. Because if not someone who likes your country better is going to take it from you
