Just a little ruling point, Basilisk Collar should have gotten life from all the Kediss damage too. As Kediss says the commander deals the damage.

@@EDHijinks Olivia didn´t have the mana to equip the cloak. She started the turn with 4 wastes and mana crypt, played a fifth and suddenly there is a sixth edited in after she counts for playing kozilek. Or did I miss something?
Yep, just had to explain this interaction last night with my Ardenn/Kediss deck, little lizard really puts in some works
@@UrdenDrizztDo I was wondering where an extra Wastes came from. She retapped to use the Crypt and then there was an extra card sitting on the table.

So, as ya'll were doing the kodak protection bit and someone says "Logitech protection" i mumbled outload to myself "logitection" which was in chorus with rachel, I think, and it was really a weird experience.

I might be tripping and completely wrong but, since Dan's Commander had lifelink wouldn't he have gained not just 13 life but rather should have gained 39 life with the Kediss trigger?
Pulled my signature move where I forget about a beneficial effect because I got too excited that my deck was going off, a true Dan Sheehan classic

Kediss makes the commander do the damage, so i think dan should've gained more life

With Kedis and Lifelink, Dan gained 39 life, was still very much alive at the end and probably won the game.

Love to see the commander sphere crew back together. Rachel’s playmat always makes me laugh, cause of inside jokes 😉. I got absolutely shreked by an auntie Blythe a little while ago tho; they cast wheel of misfortune and I absolutely did not see the tech of them paying 20 life into it and one shotting a player
You laugh about load bearing Magic Cards, but I needed a shelf to put over my sink, but the only ones available were too short, so I wrapped a couple of fat pack boxes full of chaff in plastic and put the shelf on top of it. Worked perfectly. Load bearing Magic cards for the win!
Questions over questions...
a) would Dan have won if he had taken the additional 26 life from lifelink? (he would've ended his turn on 46, went down to 40, then would've taken 20 dmg to be at 20... so yeah even without cloak shenanigans he would've won the game on his next turn if his aunty were not to be sawed in half cO meaning that this game would've ended even faster =) )
b) would Olivia have drawn Uh-lala-lalala-mog if she didn't miss the two Kozilek-Shuffle-triggers from Saw in half? (original Kozilek gets destroyed, moves to graveyard, shuffle, Kozilek token moves to graveyard due to legend rule, stops existing, shuffle trigger, not that there would be anything in the graveyard tho but it still shuffles the library, 701.19c if I'm not mistaken)
c) would've Olivia not have had a Wasteland on top at the end of the game if she didn't shuffle in the exiled wasteland that the removed earlier?

At least I know now that a "on cast"-ability triggers when it's countered.. somehow couldn't find anything about it
a trigger was missed. When Kozilek, butcher of truth was destroyed by cut in half. its supposed to go to the graveyard. "When Kozilek, the butcher of truth is put into a graveyard from anywhere its owner shuffles their graveyard into their library" Since she used the card as the token for the 6/6 version she never shuffled her graveyard into her library which should of changed what she drew.

What a fun game & banter. Tempting Olivia to block with Kozi and then play a crippling fear would have been the better play I guess but in the end it doesn't really matter (you got so far 🙃)
I love Auntie, I built it but it sadly got taken apart, very very fast.
I straight up would win too fast for most pods or I’d be drawing super unfortunately as it’s red.
Amazing deck, but when you’re wanting to play a chill game, the deck just wins via Pyrohemia and kills people out of nowhere, surprisingly. Wheel of misfortune is an instant voltron kill most of the time.
Weird design. Love it lots though! I’ll revisit it at some point!
It's one of my favorite decks right now. Lots of group slug/punisher effects that also hit me to grow Auntie to swing in for the rest of their life.
Wow, pity it went so fast, I wanted to see Auntie Blyte a bit more, since I'm considering either her or Indoraptor for a 'suicide deck'. Love to see Rachel here again!
Just popping in to give Dan props, he probably would have won that game even if there was enough mana to make Kozy hasty. Good game none the less :)
Funny game, good game. Still think Annihilator is an absolutely terrible mechanic that I hate.
So... The Kediss damage to the other opponents was lifelink damage, as the lifelinking commander actually dealt the damage.
Rachel’s decklist seems outdated. I think it’s the same as the game knights decklist. It doesn’t have beast whisper at the least. Is there a version with the changes
So happy to see an Auntie Blyte deck make it onto an EDH vid. She doesn't get the spotlight she deserves. One of my favorite decks. Sad to see a missed lifegain change the outcome, but that's the game. GGs.

Sooo why did Olivia magically gain a land on the turn she cast koziliek. She tapped all 5 lands, untapped 2 lands tapped mana crypt, the camera cut and she had 4 tapped lands and 2 untapped
Is the link to Rachel’s deck list an old list? I don’t see Beast Whisperer on it.
Should Dan have got lifelink off the kediss trigger or does it not work that way?

Olivia did put one extra land in play @27:37. (She had 4 lands at start of turn and then played a land counting to 5 and then after she adjusted her cost for Koz she had 6 lands magicaly). Dan wasn't knocked out from her creatures or commander damage. So Dan won that game from my point of view. Congrats
I hate Auntie Blythe. The play pattern is unusual and it should interest me but all the game I played with her felt stiffling and polarised. The auntie player puts a ton of thing that punish everyone then kill us with a big auntie unless we jsut stop everything they do.
Might also because I like my commander games to last longer.
Not sure of the ruling or interaction but when Dan hit everyone with his commander due to kediss. Is this commander damage to everyone?
If so wouldn’t Dan have won the game through commander damage on everyone. Since he dealt nine and thirteen to everyone with auntie
Commander damage is only combat damage. We've had this come up in previous episodes with Saskia.
Yes, because of Kediss, Emberclaw Familar's ability, when Auntie Blyte dealt lifelinking damage to Rachel, Dan should have gained 3x the life, putting him from 7 to 46 life @24:33

Wouldn't Olivia's 'yard already be shuffled into her library after Saw in Half? He'd go to the graveyard if he's being destroyed, after all; the card on the battlefield is technically a token from then on.

Kediss should have cost 1 mana at 14:32 because of the ruby medallion. Dan could have a equipped the collar and gained 27 life.

Considering all the card draw generated by Zenith Chronicler, I think it's safe to say Olivia beefed everybody up, lol. 😅
Oh, and Alias? Oogy is a cute doggo -- and, you do with Oogy exactly what I do with a puppers when a dog gets to know me and wants to play. She looks like a very lovable doggo.
Though, I have to ask: Has Oogy ever been to Brian and Olivia's house for a playdate with their doggos? Because given the size of all three doggos, I think they could play together and be just fine.
Only problem is the puppers all live very far from each other! I don't think Oogy would enjoy a 3 hour flight stuck in the cargo hold. She's too big for the carry-on carriers.
@@EDHijinks : Then I would suggest a possible road trip? At least that way, Oogy could ride in a car, rather than on a carrier in a cargo hold.
As it stands, I hope that US airlines implement similar policies to European airlines and railroad carriers, as passengers in Europe who ride rails or fly are actually allowed to have their doggos with them in their seats. I just recently watched a video short of a golden retriever in Germany (I think?), that showed that doggo making all kinds of friends on a train full of people.

24:00 Dan had lethal commander damage on Ailie, 22 in total,9 from the previous turn and 13 from his current one.
Forget it, thought he had attacked Allie on the previous turn.
Also he should have gained 26 more life since Kediss has the commander Deal the damage.

Great episode but I think Dan should have gained more life, which means he wouldn't have died to Olivia's attack.
We'll have to have a rematch methinks!
@EDHijinks he was also dealing commander damage so everyone should have lost at the same time as Rachel.
@@greatyellowpie commander damage only counts combat damage, the person being hit by Auntie Blythe gets commander damage but the others do not

Auntie Blyte is the commander I didn't know I needed to build, but damn if I'm not gonna come up with a concept now.
Also the reason I discovered "group slug" is an archetype and that makes me laugh even more. Thanks Dan! :D
