Elbow grease is the best cleaning tool we have. I really like how you’ve shown being sick and tired of being sick and tired of extra stuff. Also baking soda to clean walls is brilliant! Thanks for showing your declutter process.
Ive really been enjoying watching your channel and seeing all the improvements and progress you've made!! I'm a minimalist and I always get excited when I see what others are donating and getting rid of so thank you for showing everything you plan to donate! I love the look and functionality of your kitchen space and I'm sure your family will love it too!!! Keep up the great work!
Carla, it looks soooo pretty and efficient. Okay those cabinets are so high up - that would be too difficult for me to function - I’m 5’2”. When I was young, my grandma had a pantry room where she stored all of her dried goods. She used to do the baking prep (mmm breads and pies) in there too on this huge pantry table that had pull out drawers to hold bulk flour, sugar, and her spices. I always wanted a pantry room like hers. My father has the table now and the room was later transforms into a laundry room when my grandmother received her first electric washer and dryer. Sadly, my house is too small for a pantry room but I hope someday to build a cupboard for pantry items in my mud room/laundry room. -Time will tell.
my cabinets are ridiculously high!!! oh my your grandmas pantry is what dreams are made of...pantry table for baking prep wow. also i am fascinated by mud rooms. guess it is kinda like an entryway? but sectioned off from main house... xo
@@TheCarlaProject A mud room here is a room we step into once we come into the front door of the house. I live in Canada. Winters are so cool that we get inside quickly, then we take off our big coat and boots in a wee room off of the foyer. I have my washer and dryer in there, but I’m hoping to make a floor to ceiling cabinet where my small appliances and “stock” of canned goods, and paper goods can live. That way, I can use my kitchen more efficiently with my “must use” items. When I saw what you did with the shelf in your kitchen, it had me thinking that maybe I could set up something similar for in there and free up much needed kitchen cupboard space for my “at hand” items, plates, and glassware. You are a wonderful inspiration Carla…
That was very satisfying 😀 Like another commenter, I find your voice and manner very easy to get on with 😀 No pantries or laundry rooms here in my 1960s box in the UK, but I’ve managed to clear out enough “stuff” that I don’t need to use the top shelf in my cupboards which is great cos I could never reach it anyway 🤣 I love the wood-and-glass vibe you have going on! Thanks from cold and rainy England 👍🏻
I love it!!! I love to see regular people pantry/kitchen organisation. I mean it’s nice to look at huge pantry closet makeover but It doesn’t help me to envision what I could do at home. Nice work!! It’s lovely 💖
Thank you for showing how the cricket actually works!! I keep hearing about it so now I know what it’s all about. The jars came out so beautiful- you did a wonderful job creating your pantry - I love it!!
Looks great Carla, good job! Im worried though that you have all the heavy items, particularly the white enamel pot, on the top shelf. Make sure the shelf is well anchored. Looks good, though.
ohhhh i know. i didn;t anchor it but it is super weighed down with all of the stuff on it which makes it stable. hmmm not sure where else to put that thing bc it is pretty so love having it out!
looks great, i love the jars and the labels. "Go to my snack box" could be a euphemism for something else 😜 Would love to see a cook with me so we can see how it functions while you cook.
It looks good… but what caught my eye is the beautiful vintage stove. I have major stove envy. I just stumbled upon your videos this evening, I will be doing a bit of binge watching tonight.
Wow, so cute and organized! Love those jars and I want a Cricut machine!! I had so many places without a pantry. I never thought to get shelves but mine would’ve been a hot mess. We bought a pantry cabinet with doors for the place we’re in now. It seems like every time I know someone with a big pantry, they have way too much food and can’t remember what they have so they keep buying the same stuff! Yours is efficient and chic 😸
ur right!! i always feel likei should be more stocked for emergencies etc but only so much space ya know...oh and the Cricut machine is AWESOME, highly recommend :)
Your shelving looks great. You’ve done a really good job tackling one area at a time in your home. I grew up with a pantry closet. I think every home I’ve lived had a pantry closet. Our home for the past 35 years has a small walk-in pantry closet. We also have corner carousel cabinets (built-in Lazy Susans with two shelves). The upper cabinet holds our spices, oils and vinegars. They’re grouped by like items with labels on the shelf edge to identify the grouping. We arrange them loosely alphabetically within their group. The bottom carousel cabinet is a sort of baking supplies cabinet. It holds flours, sugars, etc. plus the coffee canister and a mini food processor. 👍👍
The Carla Project I think you look so much more fresh and younger WITHOUT pink lipstick! You are beautiful, for me even more without much makeup and more natural.

Well done on the pantry! Walk-in panties are not really a thing in Europe nowadays, however my mom lives in a building from 1920 and she has one, and I have to say these are not that great if one has tendencies to hoard items, it can very cluttered very quickly because you simply lose sight of what is in there. I think having cupboards is better. I feel you with cleaning the walls, actually ordered some magic eraser sponges (melamine foam) today to do something about mine because sure as hell I'm not going to repaint in winter. Maybe you could try one of those peel&stick vinyl wallpapers behind your shelving unit? I've heard these are easy to wash and renter-friendly. Finally, random thought: that lazy Susan is beautiful, such a gorgeous colour of natural wood. Well done on the project!
you're giving me a great idea about adding wallpaper on that one wall...i actually think that would look so lovely. and thank you i love the darker color of the lazy susan too 😍

Don't know why I never thought about doing this but now I want to go tackle my kitchen. I have tons of cupboards and drawers but they aren't being utilized in the best way possible
Just found your channel, I love what you did here and how you did it. It's not only clean and organized, but real! And it may be more beautiful, actually, than the walk- in pantry closet in your friend's house!
i've got a small pantry too..not much of a pantry really lol. i need to revisit it because its a mess again. you've inspired me! loveee the labels you created. great job!
You've done such a great job. Love the spice jars and canisters. I grew up in the countryside with walk in pantry that was not heated so it was always cooler than the rest off the house. Also my grandfather (who lived next door) had a small wine cellar (he made wine and grape juice from the grapes from our garden) and things like apples, carrots and potatoes were stored there for winter. And watermelon which stayed cool in the summer. I was always scared going down there because of spiders. Right now I have a small pantry closet. I cook a lot for my family so I wish it was bigger but I really cannot complain.
The house I grew up in until age 12 had this huge closet for a pantry. It was like 6 feet wide with a bunch of drawers and some shelves. To give perspective on the size, my best friend and I would climb the drawers to the top that served as the first shelf. We would sit on that shelf and eat snacks and talk. It is really weird looking back because the house felt small(ish). I think because the rooms were very boxy and closed off. 🤷🏻♀️
Kitchen area is essential to have organized but it's hard too because if you cook on a daily basis you actually need quite a bit of utensils etc. Looks good 👍

Thank you!❤️
Just found your channel, I love what you did here and how you did it. It's not only clean and organized, but real! And it may be more beautiful, actually, than the walk- in pantry closet in your friend's house!
awww thank you elizabeth!!
i've got a small pantry too..not much of a pantry really lol. i need to revisit it because its a mess again. you've inspired me! loveee the labels you created. great job!
Thanks mariela!! Yes we make our own pantry spaces if we have to 😄❤️
You've done such a great job.
Sounds absolutely heavenly
Loving your channel ♥️ the kitchen looks wonderful! 👏🏼♥️
thank you betsy lee!!
Such a nice pantry. 💫✨🌟
thank you so much!💕
The house I grew up in until age 12 had this huge closet for a pantry. 🤷🏻♀️
sweetest memory ever!! i just love hearing this😍😍
Great work on the pantry & fun ad!
Glad you liked it!
This shade of blue looks absolutely stunning on you!! ☆
Thank you so much for this new video. ♡•°• °•°
thank you friend!!
Kitchen area is essential to have organized but it's hard too because if you cook on a daily basis you actually need quite a bit of utensils etc. Looks good 👍
Yes, you are so right...and i cook daily!!
Okay, I'm totally inspired to reorganize my kitchen this weekend! Shelf risers are such a great idea, I need to get on that!
