Thank you!
He actually did create a utopian novel. It was the last one he wrote and he said his best work. Titled "Island", it too involved a supplement of drugs (a mushroom growing on the island); he was a mentor though for LSD in the last part of his life, so a good reason why drugs are so predominant in his writings. Much of it is based on Eastern philosophy, even training birds on the island to repeat passages for the island dwellers as reminders of the philosophy of the island. He also implied hypnosis with surgery and birthing as solutions to healthcare. Population control would be a mixture of modern contraception or if one chooses, using yoga techniques to assist with celibacy. Two characters counterbalance the philosophy of the island, a religious prude, and a homosexual materialist who believes the island is beta and needs more strength in defense that provide the other characters argument that the island's philosophy is better. Toward the end, it's a bit sad because death is gone over as the island philosophy as well and given that the context that the author was literally in the process of dying at the time makes it more profound and sad.
It's a bit of a slog to read compared to Brave New World, but I did find it interesting to his solutions for a Utopia though I do think dated a little bit and it's too leaning to one philosophy.
Unfortunately speech bots are irritating and this one sends me to sleep.
If you had managed to pay attention for even the first 8 seconds, you'd have realized that this one was read by a real human being and even have learned his name. Perhaps you were just too sleepy to begin with, and that's why you confused a robot voice with a real one? 🙃
