    1) I like how cautious they are and using words like first draft, review etc multiple times, so that people don't think copilot's work doesn't need review
    2) Another thing we need to understand is that a lot of context is our heads and not documented for AI to analyse and connect the dots. If we want AI to be able to connect the dots, it should be well documented. So documenting it like you would do for an newcomer is crucial I think

The next decade or two will be the cybernetic workflow. We will use AI to do about 70% of the work that we would normally perform. Human understanding and intuition will be required to take the project the remaining 30%.

The tech is amazing. But it's weird nowadays that this is changing how we express our happiness and feelings, the AI created the Slides, wrote the speech and even told her when to "Look at her daughter"..

@@edwardmasajage1058 I don't know, I feel like this is barely doing the minimum. New generation won't notice.. maybe, I would because I lived all phases of change, now even when you're buying flowers for the ones you love, you would just order them online and tell them to write something sweet and deliver it to their door, and probably while you're sleeping.
I think Microsoft shouldn't have used this example to show their AI copilot technology, they could've showed us how it would help at work for example, where it would really save time for more productivity.

They can, but its not expensive to build an inhouse LLM. The issue is that these products from microsoft and google are far more expensive than hiring a Data Scientist and getting them to build your own LLM and email server, and like amazon you can just get rid of PPTs altogether. They just use a notepad and bullet points to communicate the key points rapidly, much more efficient and avoids 30 min long meeting with 10-15 people of which only 1-2 actually contribute

This. I have getting used to using chatGPT in my job but i have noticed although i do learn at a accelerated pace with it, it also removes the need for me to experiment by myself. So for coding, it would give me the perfect code.... but to really learn something you need to write it yourself and try and fail. This is something you miss out on with these technologies so i am very VERY curious how next generations of people gonna be. There is already a clear divide between the generation that grew up with Commodore 64 and command lines and the younger people who have no idea what that even is. Imagine now with A.I giving you the answers in seconds.

Now schools have to switch to a Cloud based Microsoft, if they use Microsoft, so that students use a standardized tool set for homework. This way schools maintains control what homework assignment can use copilot, while some assignment can not. That is to keep the homework evaluation fair and precise. Homework without copilot assistance is to evaluate student’s own capability; whereas homework with copilot help is to evaluate student’s ability to use tools in future real life scenarios.

Yeah, not sure than it would be the solution. They just need to have a Microsoft account from their family to be able to work on copilot 100% of the time.
School have to completely change as the world is changing.

@@domingo952 Schools can control the work to be done and submitted only from within the school accounts. This is already done today by numerous online class providers.

@@twogamer7149 The world is changing too fast for any institution to catch up with. In a few decades the whole system of capitalism itself could be in jeopardy with machines replacing workers. If you really think anybody can do anything more than slow the inevitable shift in society then you are sorely mistaken. Stay safe out there, strange times are coming.

OK, it seems better than the paper clip from twenty years ago; I'll give it a try. Although, the scenarios presented seem contrived; e.g. the co-pilot found the material that was "conveniently" left there for him. Curious to see how the co-pilot does when there is an actual problem. In an actual business situation, there are more than three columns of data that require interpretation to "close the deal."
