there's not many comments yet, so i will take this opportunity to let you know how much i look forward to your videos. there is only a small handful of channels i watch every video and yours is one of em, I appreciate you man!
This is one of those videos that instantly sends me back 30+ years. I find myself trying to stay focused on the video but catch myself drifting off into a memory…thank you for that.
Sitting here after mowing the grass, doing the edging, and pondering what to do on my day off tomorrow…listening to the birds, watching the sun go down… I’m going walleye fishing tonight. Screw tomorrow.
Thanks man - really enjoyed the variety. Also props to you for your attitude when those people starting swimming right near your lines - if more folk approached life like that things would be a lot more peaceful.
I found your channel a few days ago and decided to subscribe. I've followed a handful of fishing channels over the years, and yours is one of the better ones that I've seen recently. Most of the other guys have stopped creating lengthy content and started making short videos with hardly anything to go on. Keep it up man.
Spencer you are so blessed to be able to find these beautiful places to fish. The Waterfalls were just lovely. I'm always so pleased when one of your videos drops. Stay safe and God bless you and yours. 😊😊😊😊
Some interesting species of bass and sunfish in that spot Spencer, and quite the beautiful spot at that,I love waterfalls, being in Oregon we have a lot of them
I just love these kinds of videos Spencer. Thank you so much for sharing. I thought you were going to pull a big old Flathead out from under that waterfall ledge. Maybe next time. But really loved the different species you caught at this place. Looked like a load of fun. Thank you.
I remember reading years ago that under certain circumstances and in certain environments, smallmouth and largemouth will intermix (?) and produce a hybrid of the two species. Have no idea how true that is but that's sure what it looked like. Great video! Thanks for taking us along.
Spencer ….. gorgeous area!! Nice to have a variety once in a while. Funny, no matter where I am, someone always rolls up and starts asking questions ( That popped in my head when the swimmers invaded your space) . Then go on and tell me there are no catfish in this river. Then I tell them I was a state environmental police officer.. Btw last night May 1st, caught my second longest channel.. 33 inches but I definitely believe it was heavier than last Novembers 35 incher. I accidentally sent you two Emails ….. make sure you read the one with the attached photo ….. it was absolutely nuts!! Huge Unexpected catch while catfishing!! As always, appreciate all the work you do!! Dan
High falls is my favorite waterfall in the state of Alabama and I’ve commented on here before but I’m really glad that you’re fishing in my home state also There are 12 bass species in Alabama but the bass you caught that had the spots were probably spotted bass (Micropterus punctulatus) although they did have weird markings and we have other species that look like spotted bass though they are not native to the Tennessee river system one is called the Alabama bass (Micropterus henshalli) they live in the mobile-river system which the bass you caught did look like them more than a spotted bass the other species are the warrior bass (Micropterus warriorensis) which are found in the warrior river system and shoal bass (Micropterus cataractae) which are found in the chattachoochee river system also the sun fish you caught was not a longear but red breasted sunfish
Beautiful spot. Been on a serious fish drought, finally broke out of it. Nailed a crap ton of panfish at the local park from my DIY yak. Feels good to get some fish in my bucket. Now if only the rivers would come down enough for me to get to my fishing spots.
One of my favorite things to do , explore gods great outdoors. Nice shoal bass. Some shoal bass have red eyes almost similiar to smallmouth. Great video it brings back memories.. 👍🏽👍🏽
Great area to do some just fun fishing. What a beautiful spot. I got a little worried on the trail down to the water. Thank you for the trip. Stay safe.
Spencaroni catching ditch pickles 😂. I picked up that term from the podcast and have been aggravating bass guys with it for the last couple months thanks for that
The one bass you caught are referred here in SC as Bartram's bass. Other names include Coosa bass. You can tell by the distinct silver or teal color on the back of the eye. They do not get very big. Really "big ones" grow to about 12 to 14 inches.
Super cool spot, as usual great video. All the rivers/streams around me are crystal clear pretty much year round, so i learned very quick to wear natural colored clothing and no crazy colored fishing rods. Also fc leader if using braid. Funny enough my largest muskie (52.25") came in clear waist deep water much like this spot. That's what's so great about fishing, you never really know what you'll get until you try.
Great video. Bass kinda looked like a Coosa Bass? Has some blue in its face. The Sunfish was a Redbreast, similar to Longear but unique shaped opecular flap.
Sucker on the bank can't get enough of the passion of his life lol. So that sucker is going to continue to be a sucker ❤ good vid. Nice to see you getting into the thicket
I will never forget when I got carried away climbing down a mountain wall to fish in a deep pool in a narrow canyon of a river in Norhtern Italy. I was trying to fish down there for a while not catching any trout. Then I realized: It is nearly impossible to climb out of there. I had to throw the rod up several times so it was kept by some branches. I was hanging in the wall with my hands only and the feet were off the ground. It was a miracle that I got out of this situation unharmed. At then I realized many people were staring at me from a bridge: They expected disaster. I was young, courageful and dumb. One more time I got a bit into trouble like that. But in this mountain stream I could follow the water until I found a good way out. A friend who lives there told me that a guy had been missing for days. He was not a local guy so he had chosen a dangerous way down. They finally found him dead beside the stream. He had fallen to his death.
You call those boots🤯 look like tall crocks to me lol. Those were spotted bass. You can tell by where the mouth hinges. Those greenies are killer flathead bait. Great vid and keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎🙏🏻
Great change up on the video buddy. Boy how would you like to have that in your backyard for a swimming hole when it was hot out. Got chocolate milk water up here in North Missouri like you do in Iowa. I hear in northeastern Iowa there's some nice clean water
Beautiful video. Sometimes I have better quality fish in a creek like that if I slow the retrieve, just twitch it , let it fall and sit for a minute. . Sometimes it takes me five minutes between cast its so slow but it works . It's always fun to creek fish though rather it be ultralight or hammers. Nice job
Spots like that can be super productive even though most of what you catch are dinks, but its a barrel of fun still just to be out exploring. There's a few spots like that here in the upper elevations of the mountains that I go too, it dosent produce size, but the numbers and variety is what its about. That and nobody wants to hike to 10k feet and 3+ miles one way to get to it so I am usually alone for the day lol.
I got a spot just like that in Ohio that has monster flatheads in it it’s the local swimming hole so the fishing can be tough. Crazy part is I lived across the road from the reservoir and the hole was In my backyard. Coolest little spillway in all of Ohio. It was loaded with fish. 30 ft deep and a hundred yards down the creek jt led to another spot just like this just without a waterfall. It was also chock full of fish and less that 10 ft deep. So many 20 pounders they would eat the crappie and gills of my hook while I was going for bait. Put ‘em on a catfish rig tho and they would rarely bite I had to free line them on bass tackle and they still were finicky. Much less finicky in the deeper pool below the waterfall. Actually seen someone jug fishing it one day with two bleach containers and when they went down they didn’t come back up for a good 10 minutes
there's not many comments yet, so i will take this opportunity to let you know how much i look forward to your videos. there is only a small handful of channels i watch every video and yours is one of em, I appreciate you man!
Yes 🥰 your right
My favorite fishing channel as well 🎣
This is one of those videos that instantly sends me back 30+ years. I find myself trying to stay focused on the video but catch myself drifting off into a memory…thank you for that.
You bet. It's pretty cool to hear. Had a conversation with a guy at the gym that watches my videos and had a similar message.
Beautiful spot. Thanks for taking us brother!! 👍🏾👊🏾✊🏾🙂💯
That was a nice place ,always fun to catch different species, thanks for the trip Spencer
Sitting here after mowing the grass, doing the edging, and pondering what to do on my day off tomorrow…listening to the birds, watching the sun go down…
I’m going walleye fishing tonight. Screw tomorrow.
Did you go walleye fishing?
@@sk1llet82 I fished. I did not catch. I got one 10” dink and found all the stupid channels….
Atleast you were able to enjoy it. Better catch next time.
I think they were either spotted or yellow bass
Great looking place. Thanks buddy
Thanks man - really enjoyed the variety. Also props to you for your attitude when those people starting swimming right near your lines - if more folk approached life like that things would be a lot more peaceful.
Meanmouth. Cool scenic fishing area as well.
Should try some spinners. Cp swings would have worked great

Excellent video surrounded by beautiful scenery. Good job brother!
Spencer you are so blessed to be able to find these beautiful places to fish. The Waterfalls were just lovely. I'm always so pleased when one of your videos drops. Stay safe and God bless you and yours. 😊😊😊😊
Those are called mean mouth bass . They fight like crazy. Spot and smallie hybrids . Really cool fish ! Great video man. Awesome footage
Some interesting species of bass and sunfish in that spot Spencer, and quite the beautiful spot at that,I love waterfalls, being in Oregon we have a lot of them
Redeye bass. Probably Coosa variety depending on which drainage you were fishing in.
Those are absolutely redeye bass. They have the white hood over their eye.
I just love these kinds of videos Spencer. Thank you so much for sharing. I thought you were going to pull a big old Flathead out from under that waterfall ledge. Maybe next time. But really loved the different species you caught at this place. Looked like a load of fun. Thank you.
Looks like a fun day in a beautiful spot. That running water would make it an easy place to catch a nap when the fish stopped biting.
I remember reading years ago that under certain circumstances and in certain environments, smallmouth and largemouth will intermix (?) and produce a hybrid of the two species. Have no idea how true that is but that's sure what it looked like. Great video! Thanks for taking us along.
I love stream fishing and wading. That bass looks like a smallie and spot mix. We called them Kentucky bass in southern Mo.
Spencer ….. gorgeous area!! Nice to have a variety once in a while.

Beautiful spot. Been on a serious fish drought, finally broke out of it. Nailed a crap ton of panfish at the local park from my DIY yak. Feels good to get some fish in my bucket. Now if only the rivers would come down enough for me to get to my fishing spots.

Do you prefer a fixed or sliding sinker while anchored for blues
Lets gooooo that bass you didnt know kinda looks like a spotted bass and a small mouth mix....

Cool video, Spencer, more videos at places like that would be great 👍
Cool video Spencer, those almost look like a cross between spot and a smally, cool fish what ever they are!!!!
Super cool spot, as usual great video. That is an amazing looking spot great video keep it up my friend and keep those lines tight
I did the literal Leo DiCaprio meme when I saw you on DonutOperators channel recently I had no idea you two knew each other!
Look like coosa or redey bass in north Alabama and Georgia range. I've caught many like those from there.
As always great video! How are those Diawa wilderness rods? You seem to have different rods in every vidoe any chance of doing a comparison video?
Lets go my guy always a good day when spence posts!
14:35 Possibley a 'meanmouth'? Spotted / Smallie hybrid.
We have a kool waterfall near me . Been fishing the bottom of it for years . Only thing I got was sunburnt

It’s never fails a group of Kyle’s swimming across the line
Is what it is I suppose
Great change up on the video buddy. Boy how would you like to have that in your backyard for a swimming hole when it was hot out. Got chocolate milk water up here in North Missouri like you do in Iowa. I hear in northeastern Iowa there's some nice clean water
"well that's neat!"
You can tell it's a longear because of the way it is!
Nice job
What a sweet little fishing hole.
That was what we call here a rock bass. Live in rocky creeks
Hallo from Germany, that place Looks perfekt
Not many Clear water Creeks I'm familiar with in Iowa. 🤔
Thanks for the video. Looks like a pretty cool place
There are tons of clear water creeks in northeast and eastern part of Iowa. I’m not sure where he’s at but I don’t think it’s backbone.
Nice hike and good fishing heck ya
23:44 any one else see Lincoln with a Mohawk??
That was a cusa bass. That had the blue coloring on its gill plate. The other one looked like a mean mouth.
Spencer using worms looks like he's turning into Josh next video is gonna be spillway carp fishing. 😂 great video keep up the awesome content
You should do a kayak trip here
Don't see why you threw all that bait back lol. Great video and a beautiful looking spot.
Shoal bass? Least I believe that's what I've heard em called. Hmmmmm. Killer video as always. Tight lines from the 937

Where is that? Havent seen a waterfall except in the mountains
Some of my favorite spots are hard to get too and it keeps others out! Not everyone likes the challenge but I do
I got a spot just like that in Ohio that has monster flatheads in it it’s the local swimming hole so the fishing can be tough. Crazy part is I lived across the road from the reservoir and the hole was In my backyard. Coolest little spillway in all of Ohio. Could be an Alabama bass. I have heard John Dalton talking about them?
My goal is fish with you one day catching some big donkeys, love watching your catfish vids.
Hereee kittie kittie kittie
love the creek videos!!
Was that a shoale bass ? Kind of looks like one ? I dont wanna read the comments to see if it was already suggested or answered.
Definitely has spot in em, i wonder if spot crossed with a red eye and lost the red in it eyes?
That's where I ended up. Pretty cool looking fish regardless.
Man!! I would have totally brought my swim trunks!!
HAHA! Wrote this before I saw your visitors!!
Looked like a spot smallie mix
Where is this, friend?
Dude, I guess you aren't allergic to poison ivy! That trail down was covered in it!
