We did Shirley thank you. We do love the rivers in a different way to the canals. It’s sometimes nice to feel a bit more open! Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
Thank you both, so much for your video..... I say this often, Japan is an incredibly beautiful country - especially where we live in the rural Hokuriku region of Japan.....However, it is so different from the beauty of the UK. After over 20 years, Japan is my home and I love it here! I sometimes miss the gentle nature of the scenery and climate of the UK - Although my daughter tells me that in June/July, you too are hitting 40%!! I was shocked. Once again thank you.
Glad you enjoyed watching Ian and we can bring a little of “home” to you. I have to say that the 40 degrees was a little uncomfortable and would prefer it a little cooler, especially as we live in a steel tube! Japan must be truly beautiful and would love to see it one day but realistically we probably won’t. We love the different seasons in the Uk and what they bring. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
e Hi guys Another easy vlog through the great English country side heading towards Leicester my old stomping grounds have fun and enjoy your trip see you next vlog Ed 40 S of Vegas XX take care.
🇳🇱It was another beautiful episode of sailing on the English canals. Beautiful greetings from my flat 10 high in Roosendaal, the Netherlands, where it is now raining and it is not so hot anymore Hans.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎🍀
Wondering about the wake along the river when boats are moored and you're noting at a good speed. River wide enough that the force of any wake dissipates? 🤔 You cruised passed some beautiful homes! Thanks for sharing! 😊
The speed limit on the rivers is a little higher than on the canals. Whereas canals are 4mph the rivers are usually around 7 as they are wider. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
Oh my, after the lovely 'human' sized and charming canals at the beginning, coming out suddenly on to the broad rivers was quite a shock to me, and intimidating! l suppose it must be nice for you to have a variety of waterways to handle though. That last lock was 'interesting' too!
Had to move a boat for a friend. down the Trent to Nottingham. A Les Allan 70 ft. with 3 cyl 4.5 ltr LW engine with a 2 to 1 reduction box and a 24 x 24 inch prop. For the non boaters the prop 24 inch diameter and for ever turn it goes though the water 24 inch. Running at a 1100 rpm. We didn't hang about
Nice cruise , your narrowboat can certainly get up to a nice speed , almost speed boat speed . She is showing a bit of wear and tear , needs a touchup on the sides , your narrowboat i mean . Pat could do with a mike when cruising as he's yacking away doing commentary and hardly heard . Keep up the great vlogs :-)
Thank you😊, yes it’s great to blow away the cobwebs and give the engine a bit of a run! Agree she is showing her age at present but is as we speak getting her bottom blacked which should smarten her up a bit! Pat did actually have a Mike on with a wind sock! Unfortunately he’d forgotten to turn it on!!! 🤣😳. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
Yes Lynda, it’s looking a bit tatty now! But then that’s continuous cruising for you! Booked in for blacking this year so should be looking smart real soon! Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
Lovely cruise. Beautiful scenery. Some deep water you travelled through. Hope you enjoyed your much needed lasagna. Thank you. Take care.

Although we love the warmer weather, it has just been too hot here 🥵. We’ll be glad to get a bit of 🌧 rain! 🤣.

It is Evelyn, it’s nice to have a change, the “feel” of a river is so different! Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
Slightly different format in this one, but still enjoyable.
Thank you😊, we like to mix it up a bit! Thanks for watching and commenting!👍

The boat looks like it has had a few scraps on the side up front right side of video tow path side
