Hi all!!! You have been asking me for a while to do a review on the DecoArt Clear Pouring Top Coat! So here it is!
All my thoughts on the product! The do's and don'ts and of course some silliness! I hope you enjoy!

Don’t judge me but on small projects I’ve used clear nail polish as an alternative.... A ton load lol 😂

This is a well-done, informative tutorial on this product. You covered many bases I would never have even thought to wonder about. Well done. The dried product does, overall, provide many aspects resin does. The intensity of the paint coloring comes back, like resin brings the colors back, the gloss seems pretty equal to resin, but where it does not equal resin is that, for whatever reason, it does not have a perfect glass-like finish, but it's almost like a textured effect that is noticeable when the light hits it at some angles. I'm glad you shared that the finish is really not as protective as resin, as I would have never thought about that and I might have put it on coasters and given them as gifts, unaware that no hot cups should be put on this finish. I feel this product could be great for some things and you shared the right elements in this video, that is for sure. Thank you! Happy painting!!
Very detailed absolutely loved it I love how you went into every detail at the end how the product doesn't dry super hard to soft plasticity Type top coat & not to put hot stuff on it if you use it on a coaster. absolutely love this video thank you so much for being so very detailed!! ❤❤

Hi, been watching everyone trying to apply this topcoat. All seem to be pouring it over canvas and frustrated about wastage. Can you confirm that your way has stayed successful, because it seems a lot quicker, cheaper and easier to do. Thx

Hey to get rid of any guck inside the bottle just cut a piece of pantyhose tie it around with a rubber band and add on top of the Floetrol bottle or this one too. Filters any guck out! Works 100%

Have you tried tilting the canvas at a 45 degree angle and letting it dry like the directions state? If so are the results the same as your technique?

Self leveling? My problem is that some parts of my work dries milkier than the other, and some parts have holes where the deco art doesnt touch.I'm also paranoid that its not going to level & there will be streaks since ive had it happen in the past.

What do you use on your coasters if you can’t use this top coat. I have lung issues and afraid to use resin as bad as I want to use it.

Is this food safe by chance? Like can I use it to seal vinyl on a mug and have someone drink out of that mug? Not the inside of it but their lips will touch it on the outside of the mug

Topcoat costs more than some resins and clearly isnt the same look.
This top coat is $15 and it’s super shiny. Great use for someone who can’t afford $150 for resin 😃 cheap resin in smaller sizes then yellow and are toxic. This is just an alternative and it’s not expensive at all! This bottle will last a long time too!
Topcoats like resin alone? Or is this same resin with epoxy?
