The Portkeys BM7 II DS features a 7” screen with a resolution of 1920x1080 and a brightness of 2200nit, wired and wireless control of camera settings including recording, focus, shutter, ISO and white balance of models from RED, Blackmagic Design, Sony and others. Camera models that don’t allow for a wireless connection can be plugged in via USB or LANC cable.
The device features two SDI inputs and one output plus an HDMI input and output. This means two different camera signals can be fed into the BM7 II DS and be monitored via a split screen that can be customized. The images can be flipped or switched to be displayed on the left or right side. It’s also possible to split one signal into two images. One in the original 16:9 aspect ratio plus a vertical crop of the same feed. This ideal for productions that require a delivery of both formats.

Thx for showing the different settings especially the regional focus peaking.
Finally someone who knows how to test a field monitor --- outdoors in real conditions!!
Hi friends, thanks for your excellent video! As for the wireless transimission, I will forward your suggestion to the technicians🥰
4:16 is my fav shot looks soooo cool with the color changes
Looks like one of the best monitors on the market right now even without the rec control settings.
Just the UI and Menu is really bad
Yeay!! 🕺🏻 Fenchel&Janisch are back in da house!!
Lovely shots as usual and informative as well. Thanks for posting!
Split screen stuff really is essential these says for IG /TikTok content but most manufacturers seem to ignore it....
Awesome content 🔥 from the best gear reviewers on YT!
01:02. Good time of the day. I acquired this monitor and I can’t get a zoom with two fingers. More details, please.
Did you manage to zoom? I'm going crazy! ;) thank you
Solid review, thanks for putting this together.
Die Anzahl der Funktionen ist immens!
So green over in Frankfurt it looks lovely
Not in the market for a field monitor but it's a damn good product for the price that's for sure.
Very nice review! When connecting the monitor wirelessly to a Sony A7SIII, is that something you set up once, and then the camera and monitor reconnects automatically every time you turn the camera and monitor on/off? Or do you have to reconnect manually each time you turn the camera and monitor on/off? And is the reconnect instant, or approximately how long does it take?
Would love to know as well

The monitor itself is great, but I don't see any buttons to lock the batteries. Are they securely fixed? Can they fall out from shaking when shooting handheld?
Hi friend, I am sorry that BM7IIDS doesn't have buttons to lock the batteries. But the batteries can be securely fixed.
I certainly don't need a monitor but it's fun to watch anyways 😂
Well explained , as expected.
Gute Arbeit. Wie lange läuft der Monitor denn mit Akkus?
Hi friend, if you are using two SONY full charge NPF970, the monitor will run 5-6 hours
@@PortkeysMonitor thank you!
Incredible how good the video quality is considering you filmed off a 1080 screen .
More videos please THANKS

A video about a screen sounds boring until you see it being made by Fenchel Janisch.
Wahnsinn was heutzutage alles möglich ist mit einem scheinbar "simplen" Bildschirm.
