I love her dress so much cuz obviously it's stunning, but also it references so many pieces of history. Like I wonder if the giant bow around the bronze dress is reference to the statue of liberty being a gift from the people of France to the people of the United States at the height of the gilded age. So unraveling the "gift" is not just showing the passage of time on the statue, but also how it became a symbol for further innovation that then led to architecture like Grand Central Station and the Empire State Building.

I don't know HOW but this dress in all it's glory didn't overpower her but made her look even more endearing. Magically the dress is not wearing her...they are wearing each other. OMG... me, too. I had the exact same reaction! I laughed at myself for literally getting choked up over a dress. I want to know more about who designed this at Versace and how their team produced it. This one needs to go in the Smithsonian (or the Met collection?) like the Oscars "credit card" dress.

The great thing about Blake is that it's obvious how much fun she's having. This isn't the typical "I'm a model who's barely smiling/I'm just strutting down the catwalk acting like I'm doing something serious and important" type performance. It's why Blake and Ryan are such a wonderful couple. They're both willing to laugh and not take themselves too seriously.
