I fucking love this channel! I can’t watch most a lot of videos like this because the people narrating fake it too hard. This is exactly how it should be, it’s perfect.
Precisely. The way this man in particular speaks is natural as if he's speaking to you as a person instead of using that fake show host vibes. Very appreciated.
Those beetles were loud stridulators! Enjoyed the crab spider and the centipedes, but the pseudoscorpions are fascinating to me. I used to find them in the bark of southern pines and elytra of dead beetles in Florida, but in all the scouring of the web, have not been able to identify what species they are. I wonder why they hitch rides on beetles myself, whether it's to eat the mites or just as transport. Keep 'em coming!
"Try not to be the first person who experiences severe symptoms from some random rear-fanged snake, even if it's for science." Those are words to live by right there.
My DH said of the centipede: STILL NOOOPE, but it's super cute they wash their antennae just like mantids do. I'm more in the NOPE camp. You are both brave and slightly not right in the head, lol. But good for you for helping people learn about many creatures and being so gentle and respectful with them. He said the crab reminds him of a fiddler cram in FL, "They'll eat anything."
The crab spiders we have in the UK are much smaller, and I think from a different family (?) Thomisidae. Some at least resemble flowers, and they lay in wait camouflaged on a flower until an unsuspecting prey comes along. I don't think they use silk in the capture, like jumping spiders.
Hey there! I love your videos, though I need to stop watching them while eating lunch because the visuals and the act of chewing food don't mix. THank you for all the work you put in to sharing these animals with us! Are you a professional entymologist/biologist, or is your expertise home grown?
I thought that 4 large eyes in a "square" pattern on the front of the face was the way to distinguish wandering spiders from often almost identical (ecologically & morphologically) huntsman spiders who have just 2 large eyes with a series of small eyes underneath/on the sides... Is this not true⁉️ 🤔 Because that spider seemed to have the "square" wandering spider eye arrangement‼️
Hey, wondering what the general range is for Norcal ghost pedes? I swear I remember you had a video hunting for those, but I cannot find it now... Was it taken down?
Since you are in Latin America I worry that you might run into the cartel or maybe a big cat going out at night all by yourself in isolated places. Please be careful!!
Sees a mammal, calls it clumsy, doesn't elaborate and just leaves
that made me giggle so hard.
Little simian lookin guy

The Pseudoscorpions attaching themselves to beetles is amazing!
When i discovered pseudoscorpions, it was from finding one in my bathroom. Very cool
I like the gentleness with which he handles the various animals.
This is only channel I sit at the edge of my seat fully emersed in. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, and adventures.
The crab when you put it down: Am I not good enough for you? 😞

This channel is what discovery channel needs. So underrated!
You have an exceptional ability to identify whatever random animal you find. Reptiles, insects, crustaceans amphibians. It's nuts

Man land crabs is just such a funny concept to me. Great video as always.

I think that crab had gotten quite fond of you!
General Apathy- how much of your time do you spend traveling? How many different countries have you been to? Another wonderful video- thank you♡
Probably a couple months per year on average. It varies quite a bit. 11 countries so far.
Wow, awesome species. I w never even seen that one before. Great video. I loooove your content.
This channel's name makes sense, the guy picked up anything and everything!
Never seen a Scolopendra sp. from Costa Rica before. Vaguely resembles Scolopendra morsitans; wonder if it’s a close relative.
I love your content! Thanks for sharing :)

Love your channel since the start! Keep doing this!
Yo I need a crab video from you, wonderful footage
The apathy in your voice makes the delivery of information easier to digest
please talk more about pseudoboini, if you’re still in costa rica you should totally do a video on Clelia clelia

Home grown is a good way to put it. :D
that centipede be rockin'!

the snakes are pretty cute
Have you tried looking for land crabs? I will be trying to catch one next week (gecarcoidea lalandii) and keep one as a pet
woagh the soil centipedes legs are mesmerizing
cool stuff !
Amazing
"slender snail sucking snake" : SSSS
Do centipedes like that bite? I was always told that as a child, so I never touched them, but now I am not sure.
They can bite
He blithely picked up a toe-biter in one video, so he's quite fearless and/or very non-threatening to these creatures.
Likely all Scolopendra spp. bite given the right circumstances.
Hey, wondering what the general range is for Norcal ghost pedes? I swear I remember you had a video hunting for those, but I cannot find it now... Was it taken down?
8:26 love red eyes
💕✌🏼
bitten by rear fanged for science..... like the boomslang
Do pseudoscorpions feed on the beetle mites?
To my knowledge, this has not yet been observed. Some are known to feed on Varroa spp. though.
I ❤ oryids
True land crabs host true scorpions instead of pseudo ones. True fact, probably.
You don't tell us if and how venomous any of these snakes are.
Very very venomous. Don't try this at home 😅
Bro found messmer in the jungle
Since you are in Latin America I worry that you might run into the cartel or maybe a big cat going out at night all by yourself in isolated places. Please be careful!!
Cooler than a frog? Yeah... NO!
Obvious misinformation!!!
The frog is objectively cooler.
I love you
