Something notable you missed was chamfering and deburring case mouths. It really helps to start the bullet straight.

Wet tumbling is better than dry tumbling. There is less of a risk of inhaling lead particles.

Are you kidding? That has become so expensive $12 for large rifle primers when you can find them I just paid $75 a pound for Powder people are going to stop shooting precision and three gun because it’s so ridiculously expensive. Nowadays primers alone are three times more expensive than they were just a couple years ago the industry is going to kill the sport.

Can I use my full length die to tighten the neck on my 308 cases? I’ve been nervous to try

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question. The full length resizing die should return your .308 cases to SAAMI spec. (Assuming you are running an expander ball in the die.)

@@tc6818 no problem, but for added clarification all of the bullets I reload for I never have a problem with the neck, but I also don’t run the case to the top of the resizing dye. I just run it to the expander ball and stop there. But I am assuming I am doing it wrong because I’ve ran into a similar issue reloading my Grindel and now 308.

Yea, the way you're using your die is wrong. Doing it the way you described, the body of the case won't be resized and the neck won't have proper neck tension to retain a projectile because the brass was expanded during firing and is probably a larger diameter than the expander ball. The brass needs to be run all the way up the die to be sure it is resized through the body and through the length of the neck before it's passed back over the expander ball...this sets the proper neck tension to retain your projectile. Lube the case up and run it all the way through the die. Wipe off the lube and see if it fits in your chamber. If it doesn't, set your die lower and repeat the process until it chambers.

@@goforthandfish8393 Awesome thank you I will have to do that from now on for the longest time I never had an issue shooting 65 Grendel reloads But every now and then I would have an issue and could not figure out what it was I truly appreciate it

@@Chris-liwymi When resizing brass, you need to run the ram all the way up. Otherwise you're not properly resizing the neck and shoulder of the case. And when it comes to lube, less is more. Watch how Seth does just two quick spray in different directions. The lube should be nearly invisible on the case -- something you can feel, but not see. If you're applying a case lube by hand, apply it to the body and the neck, but try to avoid the shoulder area. Think of having slightly greasy fingers after eating buttered popcorn -- then rubbing your fingers on the case. If a case comes out with a dimple on the shoulder, you've got too much lube. Don't worry, that dimple will come out when you fire that round.

Lots of reports of hornady brass having issues for reloading. Ive stayed away from theirs for reloading purposes because of that.

might wanna try finding a few thousand primers before you buy any reloading equipment or tools...just sayin...

These aren't tips. These are the basic steps of reloading.
