Rogue Company is a new competitive third person tactical shooter by Hi-Rez. They put together a really smooth and clean game that reminds me of Gears of War, Valorant, and maybe a touch of MW2 team tactical. Rio The One and you’ll have the same with every hi-Rez game on pc. Smite, paladins, realm, even tribes..... all struggling with poor keybinding by default..... It truly is just Hi-Rez. And not a special design.

How is the video quality? Hi Rez knows how to port to switch but usually it’s is between 480p and 720p most of the time.

I am a Paladins player.. but this Rogue Company got me interested in trying it too. When its F2P on PC I will try it for sure. So far I like what I am seeing about this game :)

Never heard of this or seen anything on this before this video. This looks very interesting. Looks good, seems to perform good. Only complaint is it’s 3rd person. I’m a first person player can’t stand 3rd person gun play and being able to see around walls without exposing yourself but other then that this looks nice. Will give it a try once it goes F2P.
I hate that it’s over the shoulder aim. I seriously hate those I feel like it doesn’t show any skill gap what so ever imo if aiming in was only ads and the guns had recoil then I would probably be thinking of the game being better and more skill required.
but hey i might as well give it a try maybe it’s just cause I like games where i can play and my friends be like how you did that so good. But tbh everyone looks like they have the same aim because there is no challenge to getting a kill on someone. With this type of system it really only depends off your gamesense that shows ur skill gap.

When it comes to the aspect of macro transactions I wouldn't be worry. I've been playing smite for years which is also develop by Hi Rez. It's all cosmetic and at least in Smite there's potential to get skins and other characters for free. Only criticism I've is the fact that many cosmestic are only attainable through random loot boxes, though players can't get duplicates
Some lootboxes are a great deal, some arent, so you just pick your battles
Honestly with Paladins I was surprised how consumer friendly they were. Only real downside was you needed to pay like $15 to get all the characters, but I mean you could get em free if you played long enough and if you did pay it was for every character ever, not just the ones out currently.
@@kingcaesar3693 paying 15$ for every character would be the the equivalent of buying a full mp only game 5-10 years ago, so I see it as a fair deal. It's like you pay to get everyone up front or go the f2p route and grind for a bit.
@@kingcaesar3693 smite is the exact same way except I believe it's $30 however smite is alot older and has well over 100 characters now so I'd say $30 for 100+ characters is not a bad deal plus you also have the option to grind out all the gods as well and unlock them that way
I cant argue for smite becuae uve only played it like a handful of times. But judging off of paladins, paladins strike, realm royale it might be kinda bad mtx. They wont fix/balance the game ever but they'll throw in new mtx all the time etc.

Jay Are It’s hard to say the game went down hill when it continues to be a big success years later. Not everyone likes Battle Royale’s but the game is still living proof of a both being a successful franchise and a successful business model.

Honestly, I really like the art style of Rouge Company. I'll wait until the final game is released but early impressions for me look pretty good. I've gotten tired pretty fast of most the new games lately but this one actually looks like it could hold my interest for awhile.

This game should not be compared to Valorant, the gamemode and be the „Hero system“ is similar, that’s it.
You just can’t compare a Third person shooter to a First person shooter, you will always have so much advantage as the defender (on a third person shooter) cause you see your enemy first while he can’t see you, the „bloom system“ is also retarded and should not be in a competitive game, there should not be any kind of RNG in a competitive game.
BTW: Complaining about losing your weapon when you die in Valorant or CS and you can only play Pistols, SMGs and Shotguns says enough about you, you just can’t play those games, you need to manage your money and do „Economy rounds“ than you can buy rifles.

No quit option as tons of queuing up alone, against four players, push to talk button instead of mute option or simply keeping your mic on mute, flying in and landing is so goofy. Reminds me of Uncharted online, which I love.

You have secondary binds in this game. Therefore If you don’t like the Single E button to swap to both shoulders. You can rebind your Ability to make Q your other shoulder :)

It’s a one life economy driven character based competitive shooter. It’s pretty much Valorant except third person.
ANiceRoach the shooting is literally nothing like valorant and it’s THIRD PERSON WITH MELEE BEING AN EFFECTIVE WAY OF KILLING. The combat is literally nothing like that of valorant. If cod had heroes and an economy system within their search and destroy, nobody would call it the better version of valorant or even similar to valorant because the shooting and movement is way different. Just because the game mode is similar does not mean the gameplay is similar at all.

Basically what I am saying he is very lenient and glosses over a lot of things. AKA the round switch allows them to make very annoying and specialized Rogues and that some characters have their hair sticking out on barracks while others don’t.

a play on a game that takes skill, and slaps easy mode on with abilities and then also give you the worst thing ever, the ability to move forward and camp somewhere before a round starts ... thats broken...
maps are made to be pushed at the same time , so it takes skill and precision to learn where and when people are coming to specific points...

My brother in law is an animator on this game. This game started as a battle royal but the map was big and there was not enough people to test the game so the devs ended up meeting in little parts of the map and fighting it out and it was so fun they took pieces of the map and made them small sections. And early early on this was first released on pc so I will disagree with this being made on pc. In the first NDA play test were pc only and binding keys is really no big deal because most people change them anyways. It looks so much better than early early on polished graphics and new maps and I’m sure they have tons more maps lined up since all they have to do is take sections from the br they planed for and just take the assets from that. This is intended to be a competitive shooter with more game modes and maps as well a tournament system...... :)

This game is surprisingly polished for a closed beta, a lot of y’all want this game to be bad or want Drift to say something bad about it to fulfill the hate you NEED to have for everything. This is a polished game plain and simple. The only issue with the game I found was keybinding. It can sometimes make your guns semi auto forcing you to bind a certain way.
Also some more criticism are I think rezing is brutal, if you aren’t the medic rezing is a chore, I think defenders shouldn’t see when the bomb is dropped, and I also think they need better bomb mechanics in general. It’s hard to tell what bomb site they plant at, and there’s also no timer on the bomb, just a tiny dial in the top of your screen. Zip lining aim mechanics also need to be reworked, I feel your sense takes a huge jump when you hop on zips.
And lastly a minor critique I wish the spawns were just a little fairer, defenders literally spawn on top of the bomb sites basically, makes it hard for innovative rush plants or just different strats that don’t involve playing trades when on attack. Like lancer even with her ult, has a hard time getting to bomb sites first. The only map I can do it consistently on is Factory.

I'm scared this game is gonna be like Warface: Breakout. They both sponsored a ton of UA-camrs and made a console version of a popular PC game. I bought Warface: Breakout and now I regret every cent I spent on that monstrosity of a game. Hopefully this game is a lot better and hopefully the developers genuinely care about the game
I mean to be fair you did buy a “warface” title. That free to play shooter has been absolutely awful since it’s release and I remember playing it back on Xbox 360. Always sucks to lose money on something. I think this will be worth the money for a founders pack. I play paladins (also hi-Rez)a lot and I definitely don’t regret spending money on there for the character pass + crystals.
@@synth_pulse3098 Yeah, buying Breakout was a pretty dumb decision on my part. All the UA-camrs kinda just made me impulse buy it. I'm probably gonna get this game after a week or 2 to see how much I really want it.

i really like the grind for new rogues. it doesnt feel like im blazing through all the progression, but i dont need to play 6 hours a day to unlock a new one.

Liking a fortnite style aiming system while disliking cs shooting for being more fair makes literally no sense. Cs shooting is literally all aim while fortnite shooting has literal rng in where you shoot
In cs go u have to walk or crouch and time ur shots to get perfect accuracy . I play this game and i am assuring ur that aiming is so good and smooth. hipfire for close range never misses and aiming down sights for long range never misses
CS might be fair but it's still a trash system. Literally the only point of a crosshair is to tell you where your bullets will go.

I like that tac shooters are re-inventing themselves after all the Battle-Royale trash. I feel like Valorant was a good step towards giving players variety when playing games like Counter Strike or Rainbow Six: Siege.

Control support is amazing in that game, the gameplay feels mostly like call of duty. Seriously lacking game content, everything is locked behind a paywall, customizing your characters is almost non existent because it's all behind a paywall. Fun for a few games, console players will appreciate it more because of controller support, but no where near enough content to be a serious shooter contender.

20:00 3rd Person lends itself well to the fact that 1st person lacks a sense of presence. Good sound design can help fix this, but it doesn't change the fact you don't have the same information you would have in real life. 3rd Person tries to solve that by giving the player sight to compensate for the loss of senses.

Unlike 14 year olds i care about gameplay more than graphics. Youre like the complete opposite of a boomer type gamer. id think u would insult kids for caring too much about grahpics. But it seems like the other way around, as U CARE TOO MUCH ABOUT GRAPHICS, games that focus more on graphics more than gameplay is a game that will fail.

@star The most popular games of all time have trash graphics though. Just between Minecraft, Fortnite, and Undertale, you've got 16bit cubes, straight up SFM, and hand drawn pixel art. Games can easily be good without good graphics. I would even say the graphics are the LEAST important aspect of a game. Hell, there used to be text-only games with no graphics at all.

This game is not good. Aim is fucked up and gameplay dont have flow. Abilities are overused by players. Maybe someone can play this game but i cant.

This game copies the general no respawn, buy phase, bomb plant gamemode which is fairly common, but its gameplay is significantly quicker and less focused on tight team tactics and good aim

I played the closed alpha and the game has improved a lot,and what you mentioned about the game being "too clean" is more on the side of this is the first game running on unreal engine 4 developed for Hi-Rez,so pretty sure they are "testing" what they can do

The grenade system can be changed by toggling "Quick Cast" off in the settings. That changes it to the more traditional system of equipping the grenade with G then aiming and throwing with the mouse.
You said 'Immunity to fire' and 'reloading when you dodge roll' were perks you could buy, but they're actually passive abilities for Scorch and Lancer, no other characters can use them.
You actually can equip 2 gadgets, if you go to your bindings you can see the "swap gadgets" command which changes the gadget you'll pull out first.
It looks like Division turned into the BR it deserves.
