Perfect timing before I start purchasing/crafting gear next week for my Guardian Druid. I just reviewed the Method Guardian Druid Guide that you authored, but it's still nice to watch this video for any further insights you may have!
I put two points into reduced CD on regen. Honestly, this has been amazing. For this season it's been very powerful. Lots of health chunkers that bypass armor. So it's been very good.
good info, and your cadence is much improved! Thank you for this guide very good and concise , great explanations but doesn't go too far into the weeds.
19:05 It's not a significant damage increase if you can't frequently produce any fire damage, like from the crafted headpiece with fire ticking embellisment, but if you have the Toxic Worn Boots with Toxified Armor Patch on bracers, you can no longer do fire damage. Sure, Djaruun is fire, but only once every 2½ minutes, so that's nothing. Rashon might be a bit more often, but probably not enough, same with trinkets. The question is if using the Toxic boots _WITHOUT_ the armor patch and then go with fire helmet and fire rings might make it better than having the armor patch? Something for the mathemagicians to look at...
That was true in S1, but the helm enchant from S3 does fairly consistent fire damage as well which is pretty close to being able to proc the rings on ICD by itself, so combine that with either Djaruun or Rashon or trinkets that deal shadowflame and you're in a solid spot.
You can grab the WeakAura I use for my abilities below, the personal and target health bars are Shadowed Unit Frames which isn't too hard to put together (and there are plenty of tutorials out there on youtube to help you with it!). wago.io/UBn50oYUi
No problem! Currently working on a Ppal guide, not sure I'll get around to a VDH one this season but there are a couple really good ones from Naowh and Yoda you could check out!
I would highly recommend against simming for defense, there isn't really a good way to go about it and the ways that do exist kind of bait you a lot of the time. Ilvl is king for defense and from there if you want to sim something I'd say do offense since that API is created and maintained by some of the very smart people over in dreamgrove.
s2 to get any use out of the rings that proc on dealing fire damage, i had to craft the helm which did fire damage. I'm guessing the ring is only of any use after you get the raid weapon?
There's also an enchant you get from killing Amirdrassil bosses that you can apply to any helmet you get that has a fire damage proc as well which does most of the work to proc the ring on its own and is available to all specs!
In general bear rage does kind of feel kind of bad in ST compared to AoE, but there could be a few things making that worse so here are some potential fixes: 1) Make sure you are using Mangle > Thrash > GG procs on CD to keep your rage generation as high as possible, any time these abilities are sitting off CD is missed rage! 2) Do not over ironfur! On most bosses you can kind of just hangout at 1 stack, and honestly depending on damage intake you can sit at 0 stacks a lot of the time and just spam maul for the UFR shield which will give you more mitigation on bosses that do heavy magic damage, such as first boss of RLP. 3) Haste level. With so many new pieces of gear that are way higher ilvl at the start of the season, sometimes this means you lose out on a lot of haste. I wouldn't go out of your way to equip pieces that are super low ilvl to gain it, but just something to keep in mind that as you get more haste your rage generation will go up due to reduced GCD and CD on Thrash/Mangle.
thanks for the great video! I’m curious why you drop thorns of iron in mythic plus? During incarn my thorns of iron absolutely pumps out damage even without talents supporting iron fur. At end of dungeon it can be up to five-eight percent of my damage but curious what your expert opinion is.
It's mostly the opportunity cost, I've been experimenting with dropping Berserk: Persistence for it, which I think I like but not 100% committed to it yet.
You've got the helm enchant from Amirdrassil which has a pretty high uptime when you're actively taking damage, combined with whatever weapon you're using between Djaruun and Rashon (shadowflame damage counts as fire), plus on top of that any fire/shadowflame trinkets you may be using, though at this point you're already able to proc the rings on their ICD so that isnt needed.
Let me get this straight GG used to cast its own procs with moonfire but they removed it and THEN they added the interaction back with the exception of picking up TM. Is that correct?
I mentioned it in the video, but you're still basically running the same 10.1 build with the only difference being moving the 2 flashing claws points to Galactic Guardian and Twin Moons, strictly because in 10.2 they got the "auto-spreading" moonfire functionality added back in, which is a very significant damage and rage generation increase in AoE.
Strange timing, I literally got the bug in my head yesterday of "Hey I know you main healers...you should totally main bear tank next season for the memes" So here I am. When the alts call, I don't ask questions
on the talent trees it didn't change at all for raid or mythic why not say that it literally didn't change from season 3 the set did the talents did not. blizzard is just trying to fill 12 weeks before they completely screw up everything as they do every expansion

No problem at all!

just what i needed took a break after s2
Happy to help!
Can you share your nameplate setup? They look very clean, and the widget denoting current target would be amazing.
Sure thing, you can grab the Plater profile I use here:

How can I make my UI look like yours? The positioning of the defensives and the activity display looks really useful is this easy to implement?

Thankyouu! Now waiting for the S4 DH guide 😌

Great guide thank you sir ❤
Quick question - how do you use Heart of the Wild? Does it buff bear physical and Moonfire damage?
It's basically just a damage CD yes, increasing moonfire damage and I believe auto attack damage, not all physical damage unfortunately!
I would also suggest that people download simulationcraft and use that to sim for defense. Lower TMI is generally what tanks want.
I would highly recommend against simming for defense, there isn't really a good way to go about it and the ways that do exist kind of bait you a lot of the time. Thanks friend, glad you enjoyed it!
why does guardian buy the fire proc ring? how does guardian deal fire dmg?
You've got the helm enchant from Amirdrassil which has a pretty high uptime when you're actively taking damage, combined with whatever weapon you're using between Djaruun and Rashon (shadowflame damage counts as fire), plus on top of that any fire/shadowflame trinkets you may be using, though at this point you're already able to proc the rings on their ICD so that isnt needed.
Let me get this straight GG used to cast its own procs with moonfire but they removed it and THEN they added the interaction back with the exception of picking up TM. Is that correct?
Yes hahaha. How it works is that specifically the twinned moonfire will use GG procs for extra damage/rage gen, so it only works in multi target.
I'm not sure how you would use heart of the wild in M+. Use it all the time in raid and pvp, but M+?
You just use it for the extra moonfire damage, so just treat it as a damage CD.
How come the arcane build for M+? I feel like i still see a lot of people running the 10.1 talents
What are the main stats for PVP guardian druid?
Unfortunately I don't PvP at all so no clue, sorry!
Strange timing, I literally got the bug in my head yesterday of "Hey I know you main healers...you should totally main bear tank next season for the memes"
So here I am. When the alts call, I don't ask questions
Bear is looking pretty solid so not a bad time to give it a shot for sure!
Is guardian stronger than last season?
Getting the S2 tier bonus back along with the changed dungeon pool definitely makes bears feel better this season than last!
@@Tactyks But he wont be S tier like in season 2?
@@Michal_Emade I put guardian as the number 2 tank atm, but VDH is looking like it will be meta without tuning changes
You weren't in bear form there 20:24.
Great example of the broken regrowth macro in action and why I won't be playing that talent until it's fixed haha
Fantastic video man. Exactly what I was looking for.
Glad you enjoyed it, happy to help!
with bullions I purchased all the fire related items like the guides say, anyone else?
on the talent trees it didn't change at all for raid or mythic why not say that it literally didn't change from season 3 the set did the talents did not. blizzard is just trying to fill 12 weeks before they completely screw up everything as they do every expansion
