I have this CD....the Adagio and Fugue is just GREAT in the car, volume up full blast....fantastic counterpoint and harmony. I'm a new fan of Richter.
Bellissima! Masterfully written. He was a man of a transitional period, and his symphonies, concertos in a way constitute one of the "missing links" between the generation of Telemanna, Vivaldija, Ramoa, Bach and Handel and the Viennese classic. Thank you HarpschordA6.
He was one of the most important composers of the so-called "Mannheim" school.
@@gerardbegni2806 Thank you (!)
František Xaver Richter was formerly with the so-called Mannheim school before getting the position of kappelmeister in Strasburg, a position that Mozart envisioned for a while. Mozart was his friend and joked about the number of bottles of wine that he was able to drink. František Xaver Richter wrote some symphonies in minor mode, without reaching the sense of tragic of Mozart. Here, the tone is more solemn and hieratic than tragic. The formal sense is here with the presence of a fugato. Note that the symphony is in three parts, and not in four like those of Haydn and Mozart.
Gerard Begni! 🍷👌🌹
Very nice comentar, dear
friend Gerard! Thank you.
With sincerely, Marcela
Really? Can you tell me please the Minor symphonies of Richter? Cause I cannot see much of it, instead I only know the D Minor, G Minor, and F Major

František Xaver Richter was a Czech composer of baroko ( born in Holešov ).
I know this "Tedeum".

@@farrelpermadi5471 F minor, I guess .....
I wonder why we know this great influential composer only because of his trumpet concerto (which is actually an oboe concerto) and not of his symphonies
Dear Friends in "UA-cam" ! I read in "Google" that Richter Frantisek wrote 70 symphonies ! Why are the majority absent in "UA-cam"? And please another question: Where can I find many of them? Tepper Michael.
I,. too, have pondered the 'Fate' of his many symphonies...lost? fire? Archived? If so, where? Fine music from this composer; I would venture to ponder though, what's behind his 'bland' facial portrait? JN
danke!!!
OH! So beautiful! Thanks!
