You going to show us the RENESIS ports - F#$K that engine. I'm not showing that S@#T at all. It's Fu#$ing garbage " I watched that 5+ times. That was awesome.
I have a 1985 rx7 thank you so much for breaking down all the port that u can do to the engines so now I know to do the Simba le port the first one u talk about
Thank you for the rotary content! Long time follower, and my semi PP FC project is turning out to be a 10 year build lol and thank you for the inspiration!!
Back in the 80s I worked for Robin Hayes/ Hayes Rotary Engineering for about a year. Fell in love with Rotary engines. Why is it I never see anything about REPUs ?
So if almost every aspect of the engine has been changed are there aftermarket manufacturers of irons and housings similar to how Dart or Brodix produce improved design v8's? Why not just produce a larger rotory based on OEM design or better?
Thanks for the vid guys ;)That semi PP inlet manifold looks pretty good. Depending on where you are from in Aust, that "J port" pic that you posted would be called a "Monster port".A "J port" is similar to a "Bridge port" except that the slot is wider and ,of course ,also cuts into the water seal. One thing that you didn't mention which i am sure you are aware of is that most bridge and all j ports need their rotor housings match ported to suit. Having said all that, what is the horsepower difference between a "Turbo bridgeport" and a "Turbo Extend Port" ? Cheers Guys :)
The difference isn't substantial enuf to post any type of reply comments..........!?!?! Like, forreal tho you guys!?@? Come on dude dont be wienerbutts but tell us what we asked for hahahaha!!!!
it deserves an upgrade because the first ones all have a problem, the carbon leans pores and causes damage and the upgrade requires attention to detail so that there is no issue with the brushes and it is interesting for the rotor it is so simple and strong
Perfect timing - I'm in the middle of opening a spare 12a to inspect and port it. From what I've heard, the shape of the bowl has a fair effect on performance although I haven't seen any clear documentation on this. Anyone have some thoughts on the subject? Great video too.
The only thing missing out of the whole dissection of this is showing the differences between using a 4port 13B vs a 6port 13B. Well, that and talking about the custom billet JB Weld RENEE-SIS plates sitting next to the OEM RENEE-SIS plates that Broomy was bitching at. 😉
Not a real rotary kind of guy but listening to you 2 am converted. Just need to find a car. Watched ya episode on Rx8, how hard to do an engine conversion on it?
Why does him cautioning me about the dangers of the bridgeport, make me want the bridgeport even more lol Fantastic video with fantastic content. I learned a lot, thank you. How does that semi-pp effect the life of the apex seal? Seems like the apex seals sliding over those open holes would adversely affect the apex seals.
I was putting back together my rx7 and wondered why there was blocked off holes that the gasket went over. I suppose that's what the person who started Semi PP thought also.
I wonder if you guys will still respond but i recently got a gsl se fb 6 port whats your guy's opinions on street porting the 4 ports and then the aux would be a bridge so it would be somewhat sealed during idle? And help with the Na aspect since the aux is to help that from my understanding.
I've been wondering... Could you use a 2jz itb setup with 6 throttle body's with 1 injector per throttle body and 2 in the centre plate on a 13b peripheral port and extend the original port and run both?
I’m thinking of putting rx7 rotors and rotor housings that are semi pp and getting the semi pp inlet manifold to suit. This will be bolted up onto the rx8 motor. (If the semi pp manifold won’t match up with the rx8 irons I’ll have to make a custom inlet manifold). Then making a custom exhaust manifold to plum the 5 exhaust ports together. Technically that would make the best exhaust flow than anything else that I’ve seen. And the intake ports would be similar to the rx7 plus the semi pp would make it breath fantastic. Would that be just as strong a motor as a rx7 with extra exhaust flow, and would that make it be able to handle a turbo? Would love your insight on this idea. Thank you
Super nice !! planned to build a 2 Piston 600cc rotary out of 2 300cc Kart Engines. I will put them together. Maybe Turbo, Maybe Not ... I need to Know If the crank can break. Normally one engine has 50 HP . Bothe together with Turbo maybe 120HP ? Dont want to destroy the Cases or the Pistons. How good are these Cranks ? Do they can handle the Power ? Or can I buy other ones ? Love youre Videos. I will get all my infos from youre Page :D
Hello, Allow me to introduce myself. I am the first one to tell you that your comment is the very last comment when scrolling down through the comments.
I use to own a 13b bp, didn't have any of bad manners low down that you talk of, but nothing below 4-5k then it felt like it had a few psi of boost, was done before i got it so no idea on the size, i think broomy may have rebuilt for the guy i sold it to, purple S2 rx7, racing beat filter and exhaust, it probably had the YBSLO4 plates on it, which was a laugh since it only had 150rwkw at the time, not fast but a lot of fun.
Question !!?? Why can't a rotary wankel engine's can't get a sleeve to press into the housing since the coating wears and you can't reuse the housing. Are you telling me no one has made a sleeve in the shape of the housing inner diameter you press it in and then machine it down ?. Hard too explain in words
I'm thinking it's going to be better in most cases to have it solid. Crazy vibrational things go on in there at high rpms.. Heard of the "devil's nail marks"? I've never heard of any inserts, but I'd guess they are for applications that don't fluctuate rpms as often as REs built for cars do. Would be nice though. I think it's that spinning is not the same as reciprocating and why cylinder engines can use sleeves more effectively?
I enlarged my USB port on my pc and now it braps on idle 😎
Not a rotary person but definitely learrnt something !
You would learn the most?
Webby does fantastic work. Have known him and the Oak Flats Muffler Men (Steve McGirr) since the late 80's, who did ALL of my rota stuff!
Congrats on 300k ya Diggers. Good content. Encourages me to waste a life savings on a rotary project.
You going to show us the RENESIS ports - F#$K that engine. I'm not showing that S@#T at all. It's Fu#$ing garbage "

When you fill in the coolant channel for a semi pp - doesn’t that create a hot spot in that area of the engine? Also … great video BTW!
Sic vid! I bet your itching to get that semi PP run'n! It gunna be awesome!
Sensational video as usual.
Love your work fullboost keep it up
Thank you for the rotary content! Long time follower, and my semi PP FC project is turning out to be a 10 year build lol and thank you for the inspiration!!

Thanks for that fellas. Really informative. Look forward to learning more about the PP Ports. Cheers.
Great video, I learned more from this than expected.
You guys are GREAT! Thankyou so much for the insights of the rota!!
Another great video, guys. I learned a lot.
So if almost every aspect of the engine has been changed are there aftermarket manufacturers of irons and housings similar to how Dart or Brodix produce improved design v8's? Why not just produce a larger rotory based on OEM design or better?
😂 the Renesis comment in the beginning killed me
Could you go over what kind of hp one could expect for each type of port?
Great job guys. Completely worth the watch!!
Awesome video !
Very informative and helpful
Awesome Video - very informative cheers

Great video. Informative and well presented.
it deserves an upgrade because the first ones all have a problem, the carbon leans pores and causes damage and the upgrade requires attention to detail so that there is no issue with the brushes and it is interesting for the rotor it is so simple and strong

Great video too.
love the Rotary content. Keep it up
Great content as always guys!
Thanks for another excellent video.
This is such a wealth of detailed bitchen content thank you for posting !

So if you pp port over monster port you get the same result but increased lifespan of the engine? And get the braps lol?
Broomey is always on point
Not a real rotary kind of guy but listening to you 2 am converted. Just need to find a car. Watched ya episode on Rx8, how hard to do an engine conversion on it?

Great video very informative
What about semi pp vs full pp on an all motor application
What causes the wrapping/pulsing to randomly smooth out in idle?
I was putting back together my rx7 and wondered why there was blocked off holes that the gasket went over. I suppose that's what the person who started Semi PP thought also.
That engine with the sliding injector stacks certainly sounded impressive.
Gets the best of both, long and short runners.
Theyve got a video of it think is 500hp na or something @fullboost
Interesting. Forgive my ignorance on rotary engines - is there a limit on how many rotors they can couple together?
@@geneva760 money really i think there's 6 rotor engines not sure of any bigger
I assume that would be race only type engine?
So you call a half bridge, a "turbo bridge"?
I wonder if you guys will still respond but i recently got a gsl se fb 6 port whats your guy's opinions on street porting the 4 ports and then the aux would be a bridge so it would be somewhat sealed during idle? And help with the Na aspect since the aux is to help that from my understanding.
What type of porting should I get if Im looking to get a high 3.5, low 4.0 0-60?
I agree!
I've been wondering... Could you use a 2jz itb setup with 6 throttle body's with 1 injector per throttle body and 2 in the centre plate on a 13b peripheral port and extend the original port and run both?
Love the intro.. lol .. made my day...🤣
Rx8 hybrid with gsl se rotor housings , they must be more reliable ?
What are the best rotary housings? 20b?
Would you recommend a semi pp for road use or does it move to power band too for up the rev range?
I know some people that ran some 800 HP on a streeport, very sleeper like
I’m looking to get power to drift my rx8 but also have it drivable on the street, also looking to turbo as well what would you recommend
What kind of dusting goes on the stators?
Thanks you
nice job
With a semi pp would we need to do any work to the original ports? Maybe just clean up the casting marks maybe?
Most Semi pp engines use a bridge port style port 👍
thanks
Is turbo street porting a thing?
I’m thinking of putting rx7 rotors and rotor housings that are semi pp and getting the semi pp inlet manifold to suit. This will be bolted up onto the rx8 motor. (If the semi pp manifold won’t match up with the rx8 irons I’ll have to make a custom inlet manifold). Then making a custom exhaust manifold to plum the 5 exhaust ports together. I didnt catch if the drivability would worsen with semi pp. It looks like you mainly move the intake inlets.
Has anyone done semi PP for exhaust on RX-8 Renesis? I hear exhaust is the limiting factor on it.
Can you Bridgeport a rx8 exhaust port
Question does the porting perfect timing as far as adjustable timing gear would work on a piston engine?
Porting is equivalent to upgrading a camshaft. Higher lift / duration.
angelo paris gotcha thanks
Could you also do a how to diy port?
We covered this in our how to build a bridge portt video. 👍

next video is on rennassis porting?
We'll need to fish one out of the bin first.
Thank you Than you...
Did I miss where you talked about what semi-PP does to driveability? Is that a pure-race only thing, with zero streetability?
Wondering the same
Nah nah drill port like them kiwis bahahah
Hahahha no lie there bro, churr
I was here first. I love the content on this page
Hello,
Allow me to introduce myself. I am the first one to tell you that your comment is the very last comment when scrolling down through the comments.
What about full Peripheral Port???
The Tic Tac Port !!!
Aye the only reason id ever buy a fd is because of HOW MUCH SUPPORT they get
it's down to tuning
Porting= more *Brap,Brap!*
Semi-PP Everything🤤🤔🤓🛫
you'll be homeless in about 3 months :)
champions
I live rotary engine
13:20 😂 Semi pp
I had a 12:34 while watching this video
Hey Broomey, nice hair.
A SEMI PP😂😂😂 IM TOO IMMATURE
Need some subtitles

They are available.. Google it!! 😊

That bridge ports was badly done.
Why would you have a rotary and not have a Bridgeport. Be like having beautiful 20 year old wife and just look at her.
Maybe next time use someone who can pronounce the word peripheral?
