the new ep just released and i hardly played it, im already burnt out from the game and now they are openly targeting creators who say things that they dont like, its like they cant handle that they fucked up and people are expressing their opinions and their feelings are hurt, maybe daybreak is no longer the studio to hold the rights to this game if they are just ganna fuck it up and not listen to the player base
I first played back in 2010 or 2011 and got locked out of my account for reasons I suspect to have been their server getting hacked, but I'm not sure. a few years ago I heard they'd gotten a new lease on life and actually had fun playing for a while.... but got bored of loot grinds. Whoo new elite gear... that you have to grind for weeks to fully upgrade..... no. I love the game world, and the stories at least used to be good. Some of the seasonal events are nice too.

A way they do that is recognize players who create "content" such as videos and streams. Their goal is to promote the game and give it more visibility while spending zero money. It's free advertising. It's a business. That's what they're doing. They are ABSOLUTELY not interested in having their advertising assets turn on them and start saying negative things. It's just that simple. They're not players or fans and they're not interested in being "fair." They're interested in making a profit for their mega-million-dollar business. Nobody who understands anything about how corporations and promotion works should be the faintest bit surprised that any negative words from a promotional "content provider" will get the "provider" booted from the program. I sympathize with Chill that he didn't seem to understand that that's what he signed up for, because I know he loves the game and wants it to succeed and be the best game it can be, but I also understand how it looks from the perspective of the company, and I don't see it as a an issue of right or wrong. It may have been a doomed relationship from the start. Chill isn't the sort of person, I think, to be interested in just churning out information with no opinion, which is all the company would ever tolerate. And there's little chance the company would change on that, I suspect. I mean, there are some managers who would be interested in publically engaging with genuine tough criticisms. But most companies wouldn't want to risk it, for various reasons. It's also the sort of decision that could only be made at the very top. DCUO use to be a game I casually played cause I enjoyed it now it's seems to be super pay to win and not casual friendly anymore. If I'm not playing everyday for multiple hours I feel I get no where. It also feels like you can even play alt toons anymore cause of all the works it seems to take to gear up and level artifacts and such

You always were respectful and adressed the issues the playerbase had with the content and now they try to silence you which conversely means they flip the bird at literally EVERYONE of us. Way to go. This episode, and how their management handles genuine critique, is the final nail in the coffin.

I'm a player that comes and goes since launch of the game. Few months on few months of, just depends on life and content. You are one of two content creators I follow consistently to stay up to date. You keep my interest to keep coming back. Seeing this video shows me DCUO doesn't care about quality and likely doesn't care about returning players. Silencing a quality content creator who is invested in the future of the game is unacceptable.
We've been expecting something like this for sometime. The dev team know that they are treading water right now. They aren't swimming the content is falling in quantity and quality every update and they visible silence anyone who speaks out. The game is in its death throws, I've walked away after all these years and time and money as I cannot support the direction the dev team is taking the game. Was surprised when I read your name as part of the content creator program on that forum post awhile back, but figured that's a good sign for the game to pick itself up and finish its final years on a good note. It took them over 10 years to add the styles, bases, missions, characters & ally’s we listed everywhere back in 2011. The content hasn’t been good for years. The styles haven’t been great for years. This current episode is trash, af.
The content creator program was a foolhardy attempt to get known names on the forums to sell a product for the company that the company could no longer sell itself because it had become far too out of touch with its player base, putting profit before play. You content creators were supposed to be the buffer for that toxicity of that particular sociopathic business model. I have no idea why those people thought that was going to happen! You love the game, so why would you ever say that broken stuff is okay when it's not!? Then we would no longer trust you! So thank you for being open, honest, and level-headed dealing with a type of schizophrenia that common sense cannot argue with. People that have business sense rarely have common sense. Now that the CEO of EG7 has alienated relevant gamers from of DCUO and invited consumers in, it's going to squeeze the last bit of oil out of the cheese for those who are foolish enough to feed the disease and drive any remaining play from the servers by purchasing a DLC day one and walking out the door. Over the last year I have stopped doing bases, buying seasonal items, leveling head augments, creating base mods, building OP items, and any repetitive or counter feats. What a waste of code, and non-play. I have left any DCUO discord servers having to do with the base design community, and I rarely speak to anyone in game anymore since most have left. I stopped subscribing in March, only to be ripped off of my last month rewards. I have parked 10 of my alts, and I am "playing" 10. So I am logging into my main, ignoring the solo on all of my alts, doing the alert and one open world. My server, the EU server, is nearly dead on day FOUR of launch. I haven't participated in the DCUO forums in about 6 months and will probably never return, but read them daily and I value everything that you have done for the game, OC, and the fact that you were kicked from the program lets me know that you still have relevance. For, the people that run DCUO no longer do. Everything I have ever seen on the forums that players have asked for from the development teams has been used against them to destroy and limit play rather than support it, and that psychology drives players from the game and not towards it. It's a graveyard of walls of text begging for a gaming experience, and being met with silence. Well, everyone has heard you DCUO. I'm sorry buddy, you're so dedicated to this game, I'm sure it hurts. It's not worth it for anyone to be a part of what this company is trying to do. I played yesterday with a blatant hacker, completely destroying the game. This is not a 'real' game to be frank. The game started out as a real game but now it's basically a phone game. It's filled with hackers, the company is ripping people off directly and the hackers are selling their hacked cash on LFG with no consequence. No one addresses any of the bugs until they give you something for free, then the game is completely overhauled to make you pay more. DCUO is just about dead. There's hardly anyone playing and that's because of the IDIOTIC decisions they're making to try and exploit the players while it dies. They won't invest anymore in the game and only want money for trashy, garbage tier content they half-ass their way through. They do not care about you spending real cash and finding a problem. They just want the money. Nothing matters, not your channel or influence, even though it's the only channel on this game worth anything. That's how stupid they are. They should be trying to include their community but they're too stupid and greedy for that.

You have been making a boatload of content for this game that a lot of people really don't pay any attention to anymore. I very casually played this game as it isn't something I want to spend money on. It was fun to come up with my creations and see how well (or poorly) they could do. You have over 25,000 subs, at the time I am watching this it has over 6500 views. You are bringing attention to their game. The Madden community is getting sick and tired of their content creator club just constantly glazing over the game and ignoring all of the issues this game has had forever. Game companies should want solid criticism. It may bring attention to issues they are unaware of. It will help them improved their game. They are treating you dirty. If you truly love the game, keep on making the content. If not, move on and put your enthusiasm into something else that is deserving of your time.

I'm really sorry for what happened OC, but this clearly shows what kind of company Daybreak is. Instead of addressing and finding a solution for ALL the problems the game has, they attack their own employees instead of listening to them and to the customers who have been complaining for months and years. Throne and Liberty comes out next week. Maybe it's time to abandon Daybreak and DCUO for good (with all the hurt and emotional impact it may involve) but in the end it would be the healthier decision for your own good and mental health as well. Stay strong buddy, you spoke for a lot of us mentioning all the issues the last DLC has.
I think what was wanted by DCUO was an influencer to promote the game. Like all corporate positions, "honest feedback" is never wanted. The only thing they wanted was praise for the new Harley episode that came out, which, is as you implied, very glitchy.
I honestly now feel like the Devs do not care about this game or the community. This episode was not ready and your video amongst others who said the same thing. The adding of currency to the market place is making me not want to put money into this game anymore. I would rather play the test servers only and delete the game on my PlayStation. Like you I've been playing this game since beta and I would defend this game often but now I don't feel that way anymore. Their goal is to promote the game and give it more visibility while spending zero money. It's free advertising.
It's a business. That's what they're doing. They are ABSOLUTELY not interested in having their advertising assets turn on them and start saying negative things. It's just that simple. They're not players or fans and they're not interested in being "fair." They're interested in making a profit for their mega-million-dollar business.
Nobody who understands anything about how corporations and promotion works should be the faintest bit surprised that any negative words from a promotional "content provider" will get the "provider" booted from the program.
I sympathize with Chill that he didn't seem to understand that that's what he signed up for, because I know he loves the game and wants it to succeed and be the best game it can be, but I also understand how it looks from the perspective of the company, and I don't see it as a an issue of right or wrong.
It may have been a doomed relationship from the start. Chill isn't the sort of person, I think, to be interested in just churning out information with no opinion, which is all the company would ever tolerate. And there's little chance the company would change on that, I suspect.
I mean, there are some managers who would be interested in publically engaging with genuine tough criticisms. But most companies wouldn't want to risk it, for various reasons. It's also the sort of decision that could only be made at the very top. It's pretty damn rare in American business, so far as I've noticed, not that I claim to be any sort of expert or professional business analyst.
It isn't defamatory at all. It's pointing out facts. The episode isn't finished and all he did was point out bugs. The whole definition of defamation is false claims with no evidence backing them up said publicly with the intend to discredit or make someone look bad on purpose. This isn't defamation, it's facts.

DCUO use to be a game I casually played cause I enjoyed it now it's seems to be super pay to win and not casual friendly anymore. If I'm not playing everyday for multiple hours I feel I get no where. It also feels like you can even play alt toons anymore cause of all the works it seems to take to gear up and level artifacts and such

We've been expecting something like this for sometime. The dev team know that they are treading water right now. I was honestly surprised that you applied ... remember after the information leak about the changes to the EoG artifact occurred, each of us who were then participants in closed testing received a "kabalistic contract" to sign if we wanted to remain a participant in closed testing... it was already clear there that we were expected to essentially voice only positive opinions and do the work for them without the slightest credits for us... I already decided then that the skin is not worth the candle, and refused...

Everything thing they’ve done has come from the players ideas on UA-cam, Facebook, Twitter, IG, Twitch, Reddit, & Tumblr But.. now They’re reverting creatively. It took them over 10 years to add the styles, bases, missions, characters & ally’s we listed everywhere back in 2011. The content hasn’t been good for years. The styles haven’t been great for years. This current episode is trash, af.
The content creator program was a foolhardy attempt to get known names on the forums to sell a product for the company that the company could no longer sell itself because it had become far too out of touch with its player base, putting profit before play. You content creators were supposed to be the buffer for that toxicity of that particular sociopathic business model. I have no idea why those people thought that was going to happen!
You love the game, so why would you ever say that broken stuff is okay when it's not!? Then we would no longer trust you!
So thank you for being open, honest, and level-headed dealing with a type of schizophrenia that common sense cannot argue with. People that have business sense rarely have common sense.
Now that the CEO of EG7 has alienated relevant gamers from of DCUO and invited consumers in, it's going to squeeze the last bit of oil out of the cheese for those who are foolish enough to feed the disease and drive any remaining play from the servers by purchasing a DLC day one and walking out the door.
Over the last year I have stopped doing bases, buying seasonal items, leveling head augments, creating base mods, building OP items, and any repetitive or counter feats. What a waste of code, and non-play.
I have left any DCUO discord servers having to do with the base design community, and I rarely speak to anyone in game anymore since most have left.
I stopped subscribing in March, only to be ripped off of my last month rewards. I have parked 10 of my alts, and I am "playing" 10. So I am logging into my main, ignoring the solo on all of my alts, doing the alert and one open world. My server, the EU server, is nearly dead on day FOUR of launch.
I haven't participated in the DCUO forums in about 6 months and will probably never return, but read them daily and I value everything that you have done for the game, OC, and the fact that you were kicked from the program lets me know that you still have relevance. For, the people that run DCUO no longer do.
Everything I have ever seen on the forums that players have asked for from the development teams has been used against them to destroy and limit play rather than support it, and that psychology drives players from the game and not towards it. It's a graveyard of walls of text begging for a gaming experience, and being met with silence.

This DLC is the worst I have ever seen. I bought my first augment. Then got two free. Daily missions are scattered all over the map. Have a wondrous day.
I'm sorry buddy, you're so dedicated to this game, I'm sure it hurts. It's not worth it for anyone to be a part of what this company is trying to do. I played yesterday with a blatant hacker, completely destroying the game. This is not a 'real' game to be frank.
The game started out as a real game but now it's basically a phone game. It's filled with hackers, the company is ripping people off directly and the hackers are selling their hacked cash on LFG with no consequence. No one addresses any of the bugs until they give you something for free, then the game is completely overhauled to make you pay more.
DCUO is just about dead. There's hardly anyone playing and that's because of the IDIOTIC decisions they're making to try and exploit the players while it dies. They won't invest anymore in the game and only want money for trashy, garbage tier content they half-ass their way through.
They do not care about you spending real cash and finding a problem. They just want the money.

I very casually played this game as it isn't something I want to spend money on. It was fun to come up with my creations and see how well (or poorly) they could do. You have over 25,000 subs, at the time I am watching this it has over 6500 views. You are bringing attention to their game.
The Madden community is getting sick and tired of their content creator club just constantly glazing over the game and ignoring all of the issues this game has had forever.

This game has got out of hand I am going to still play but I not paying the monthly subscription anymore.
I'm really sorry for what happened OC, but this clearly shows what kind of company Daybreak is. Instead of addressing and finding a solution for ALL the problems the game has, they attack their own employees instead of listening to them and to the customers who have been complaining for months and years.
Throne and Liberty comes out next week. Maybe it's time to abandon Daybreak and DCUO for good (with all the hurt and emotional impact it may involve) but in the end it would be the healthier decision for your own good and mental health as well. Stay strong buddy, you spoke for a lot of us mentioning all the issues the last DLC has.
I think what was wanted by DCUO was an influencer to promote the game. Like all corporate positions, "honest feedback" is never wanted. The only thing they wanted was praise for the new Harley episode that came out, which, is as you implied, very glitchy.
I honestly now feel like the Devs do not care about this game or the community. This episode was not ready and your video amongst others who said the same thing. The adding of currency to the market place is making me not want to put money into this game anymore. I would rather play the test servers only and delete the game on my PlayStation. Like you I've been playing this game since beta and I would defend this game often but now I don't feel that way anymore. The fact they dropped you from the creator league shows they don't care about this game or the community.
