After watching your videos I went on a little flashlight binge recently and orders a few Convoys, I thought maybe I didn't need them, but it turns out I did 🤣 These LED comparison videos are very helpful because I often struggle to pick my LED when they give me more than just a few choices. Soon I'm going to need to find a new spot for all my flashlights lol

Very nice vid, your absolutely right on, when you’re looking for a thrower the SFT-40 is going to butt heads with the Osrams. SFT-40 a little better for most tasks, but when you really need reach…the Osram W1 is king. These beam shots tell the story. Thank you for the work as usual.
I notice that the Osram has some yellow in the beam, which I like. The SFT 40 seems a little too cold white which sometimes gives too much backscatter. Maybe at some point the SFT 40 will be available in 5000K.
I prefer the osram w1 for a dedicated thrower. I just purchased a noctigon k1 with the w1 emitter. I have a convoy c8 with sft-40 which is my favorite thrower so far, but I think the w1 (when I get it) will be my new favorite. For an all-around light with decent throw and GREAT spill I have the acebeam l35. That light is soooo good for walking my dog at night. The brightness is insane, it lights up everything in front of me and the color temp is really nice and it brings out the colors of plants really well. It also uses an optic so the beam is really smooth with no harsh cut-offs or rings. Thanks to the optic it also throws decently far (eyeballing, it seems about 150 yards) If you don't have the acebeam l35 yet, then I highly recommend it. It has about 1500 lumens of SUSTAINED output on high. And it turbos to about 5000 lumens. It doesn't throw that far, but it illuminates a whole football field which is practically all I need. But that combined with a w1 thrower would be such a sweet combo for reaching out there or using as a beacon. One cool thing to mention would be the LED efficiency and power draw at a given lumen/candela output. That way when two leds are pretty close.. you can just pick the more efficient one. Between the w1 and the sft-40 I'm not sure which is more efficient. I believe the xpl-hi is also a very efficient led with good throw.
I really like your reviews, but I wish you could take the lights to a park, or maybe a electric pole right of way. In your videos I can't see when you show the throw of a light because the house, your hand, and the flashlight are in the way. And since I'm mainly interested in throwers and I hear you talk about which is better, but it would be sure nice to see it. I mostly buy SFT 40 lights myself.
I *think* the L21A and L21B have the same reflector. I am really torn with the comparison between the CULPM1 and the SFT40. The SFT40 makes more lumen, but the CULPM1 seems to throw slightly more in the same host. I like the color of the CULPM1 more. I think the SFT40 can be driven a little harder, so I got it with the 8A driver in my M21B, pushing those amps with the CULPM1 makes me nervous of shortening the emitter's life. I've recently did a comparison between the S21B with the CULPM1 and the S21A with the SFT40, both at 6A. The SFT40 was brighter, but less intense than the CULPM1. The S21A was a bit brighter and the S21B threw a little better, but it wasn't easy to tell the difference.

lets put it this way, you get what you pay for. Add just a little more money and you can get a much better light. I would try Convoy, Sofirn, Lumintop, and others with great quality at really fair price.

That would be nice to get some warmer tints.
Its hard to tell from a video. But in general from my experience Osrams are quite neutral while Luminus often have a green tint.
