    Spyderco Subvert Sprint Run (C239CFP) - 4.12" Satin CPM-20CV Drop Point Plain Blade, Carbon Fiber Handle
    The Subvert knife, designed by esteemed Israeli goldsmith and custom knifemaker Nati Amor, has been flawlessly adapted into a high-quality production knife. This particular version, known as the Sprint Run™ expression, takes the design even further by crafting a full-flat-ground blade using CPM 20CV stainless steel. This exceptional material boasts incredible wear resistance, thanks to its high concentration of vanadium carbides and chromium. It offers an outstanding combination of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness. The knife's beautifully contoured scales are machined from solid carbon fiber with meticulous precision. Other notable features include ball-bearing pivot washers, thick titanium liners with intricate skeletonization, a robust LinerLock mechanism, and a custom pocket clip designed for right-side, tip-up carry.

    I would love to see this knife with M4 or K390 or similar steel. I’m usually a stainless guy but the subvert just feels like it should be a non stainless. Just my thoughts, cool knife, looks good

      Spyderco always does a Sprint(or upper end production)on various models with carbon Fiber and S90V. I'm assuming they wanted to keep the price around $400 and used 20CV instead. I K390 Subvert would be killer. Thanks for watching Mike

      20CV is nothing to be ashamed of either though. The s30v is a bit tame I'll give you that!
      And a slicer, processer knife like this should definitely be a stainless!
      I don't know what knife should be stainless if not right this one 😅
      You have a wild imagination brother 😆

    hey james , hope your doing well buddy ? that's a stunner. nearly grabbed it yesterday but am trying to keep my collection as small as i can. thought they'd have gone s90v but that doesn't matter. got my first strider sng tiger stripe today. soooooo disappointed . to look at and hold it's just the best knife ever to me BUT it came with small scfratches on the blade (could have overlooked those) terrible lockstick two hand job , not centred and worst of all was the sharpness (there wasn't any very very very dull) cost me $1016 and is on it's way back.

      I'm getting better everyday Ian, Thanks for asking. Slow going but you can't rush the spinal fusion process.
      I've been buying knives that are supposedly (according to community) top notch and "worth" the ridiculous cost. Recent was Koenig Arius from USA Made Blade that was a blade show piece. Has polished chamfers around Titanium scales and timascus back spacer. Perfect in every way but not even close to the $1153 price tag. Same with CRK and Hinderer in my opinion. I haven't made a video of these yet as I'm contemplating just showing or diving into the bloated "hype" that surround them.
      Sorry about your Strider, Hope you get a good one to enjoy. Have a great weekend my friend and thanks for watching.

    • @markm148
      @markm148 Рік тому +2

      100% absolutely practical,highly useful blade shape and very easy to sharpen. I hate resharpening, I’m no pro and I had zero issues getting the S30V going strong again. Of course 20CV will take a little bit more time. If I can do it with a simple Sharpmaker anybody can. It’s not as large as everyone makes it out be. It’s wide but it’s no more unwieldy than a Emerson, Freeman 451, or most Medfords.

    Great looking blade, but at over $400 , Spyderco is beginning to get out of touch with the majority of their customers.

    • @knifevideochannel4657
      @knifevideochannel4657  Рік тому +3

      I respect your opinion but I have to disagree! Have you ever held Spydercos annual product catalog in hand? They offer so many different blades (value to high end) for every type of customer.
      In the Subvert you get a good rendition of a Nati Amor custom that would be $1500-$3000 grand, For $400 bucks it's a steel. This 1200 piece Sprint will be sold out before winter! Thanks for sharing your opinion and watching

    • @sturmgewehr70
      @sturmgewehr70 Рік тому +1

      @@knifevideochannel4657 Yes, I have been an avid knife collector and user for 30 years. I used to receive Sal’s catalog and was the grateful recipient of Spyderco’s military/first responder discount program for many years. Again, it’s just my opinion, but I don’t see $400 in this blade just because it has a maker’s name attached to it, but to each his own. Take care.

    • @sonofliberty78
      @sonofliberty78 Рік тому +1

      @@sturmgewehr70 If you’re military, a veteran, or first responder; this Sprint Subvert would only cost ya $300, through the OpFocus program. That’s how I got mine, and I’m VERY VERY pleased with it… at that price. 😉

    • @edwinli7469
      @edwinli7469 Рік тому +1

      @@sturmgewehr70with the OpsFocus program, this is just $300+tax. If you compare this sprint run to the OG Subvert, it should be very competitive pricing given that the OG is only S30V steel whereas this sprint run is S20v steel, which is a much premium steel. Regardless of the custom maker’s name, comparing the size, material used, and the manufacturing location (Taiwan, spyderco’s best manufacturing plant), this knife is at the right price range.
