    I think I will need to build one of those this year. Your impression of it is about what I would expect. This probably suits my (lame) flying style better than anything out there.

      Highly recommend it! It is the perfect every day 700. I would recommend going 12s over 6s but you can definitely run 6s as I have in the past.

    A nice model that one, much better with lower headspeed, and good flight times too, takes more skill to fly slow and low , over some of the more smack style 3d, precision is what its all about, well done good build executed well. kepp em coming I'm loving this channel

      Thank you! I am very glad you are enjoying the channel! I like smack 3-D and I can definitely fly harder 3-D but I enjoy the big precision style 3-D. I feel like it’s something more people can relate to and try to achieve easier.

    Hi! Keep uploading!!!, I really enjoy all of your videos. I'm curious...Which one do you prefer between Piuma 6S and Raw 580 6S? I'd do really appreciate your answer, thanks!

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Рік тому +1

      Hello! Don’t worry, I am not going anywhere! Three videos a week! That really depends on your flying style. If you’re not into hard 3-D and you just want a big air extremely smooth machine the Piuma on 6s. If you want more 3D on 6s then definitely the RAW 580. The Piuma on 6s with harder flying is very hard on the 6s pack and that’s why I fly mine on 12s.

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 Lucky me, thanks!. I'm a 3D plane pilot learning how to fly 🚁. My goal is to practice sport and mild 3D flights, loops, funels, tic tocks and eventually piro flips. Today HeliDirect launched a really good sale on the Piuma. I already bought most of the "6S" components for the Raw 580, but now I'm considering get the Piuma instead. With this background could you please advise me about which 🚁 do you consider is the best option for acheiving my goals? Thanks a lot 😃

    SAB's having a sale starting on 5/26/23. 30% off the 700s, 20 off the 580, and 10 off the 420s. I posted a link to their Facebook page a few minutes ago but You Tube probably thought it was Spam and deleted it.

    sweet heil I have a question is the 480 blade the same as the goosky s4

    • @Twx97
      @Twx97 Рік тому

      The blade runs 480 sized blades. The goosky runs 390 sized blades. So no

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Рік тому +1

      The fusion 480 is a 480mm blade helicopter. It’s technically the physical size of a 550. The RS4 is a 390mm size blade. And a 380 size Heli.

    How do you do the slow head speed, spool up, then still have idle up 1-2-3...? Seems I , with my vbar , only have , once motor on, strait into idle up1.. then 2 and 3, nothing else to chose from

  • @Ryan-uu4tw

    That’s very cool that you turn kits into BNFs, so where are you located?
    I’m 6 years into the hobby with months off at a time. Basically only own the Fusion 360 smart and a few smaller blade BNF helis so your videos are very helpful for taking the next steps. Man I wish I knew what you know. That goblin 580 would be alot easier to order.
    Well finally… Fusion 360 on 4s, all stock, 90% throttle, and temp gun checks on the motor this week. Will compare to temps on 3s. That’s thanks to you my friend.
    Keep uploading👍
    What would you say is a safe temp on the Fusion 360 Smarts motor running in 4s 11T pinion?

      Thank you! I am located in Tennessee. I want to make everyone enjoy the flying experience and have a great time and a lot of people don’t like or don’t know how to build a perfect model or it’s scary to them building a model from a kit and knowing how to tune, it, set it up wire and all that good stuff. I enjoy it! So it works out great! I can build you any model you dream of! You can always send me an email in the description and discuss a 580 build for you. The 360 fusion is a fantastic model and one of my favorites from Blade. I would say a safe temperature is anything under 200°. You could probably go more I know I have but safely 200°.

    12 sounds like a 12S setup
    Going to 12s would need a new ESC and motor?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Рік тому +2

      Yes it’s a 12s setup. You spec your build/electronics on what battery you want to run. So running 12s you need to make sure your ESC is a HV (high voltage- anything over 6s) and rated for 12-14s and your motor KV is low enough. Around 500KV on a model This size.

    I bought mine win they were first released last year with my ix14 , and it's my flagship bird hands down. This bird flies so light and smooth I'm getting the raw580 for fathers . SAB birds just fly better than all the rest of my helicopters, and the most reliable.
