That the light-side overcorrected by making them blind to their own faults, I hope the lesson ultimately is not to reject technology/modification, but to embrace it with moderation (so the Ewoks are not exactly the ideal).
I don't think that the jedi are wrong in principle, rather it's just a matter of individuals themselves making mistakes. It's the age old tale of the flawed self vs the perfect ideals. Strip away the force and the lightsaber, and jedi are just people all the same like anyone else, and just as prone to the same errors in judgment even with the most noble intentions. You'd be hard-pressed to find a single jedi who perfectly follows the will of the force, just like you'd be hard-pressed to find any priest or other religious authority on earth without sin. The jedi way is ultimately good, but the individual desires and vices get in the way.
The order's long belligerent history with the sith is a frustrating never ending catch 22. As a jedi, you often either die a hero fighting latest sith empire or live long enough to fall and join them yourself.
Honestly, it can be argued infinitely that things are a dark side trick. Maybe, for instance, it really is possible to guide Ajunta back to the light and his dark connection made it look like it was trying to trick you in order to keep him suffering forever. After all 1 being suffering infinitely is greater than every being suffering finitely. But I think it's best to use Occam's Razor here, and just call a spirit a spirit, even if this kind had to be attached to an object to persist as it did.
I assume the reason you can have Sith spirits despite the Sith being unable to become force ghosts is that while similar in results the two are fundamentally different in how they come to be. To become a force ghost you must be fully in tune with the Force, shedding any selfish desires and accepting that you are merely one small part of the energy-field that binds and connects all life. Once you achieve a sufficient level of harmony with the Force your consciousness can manifest itself as a force ghost even after your body has died and your spirit has become one with the Force, because your spirit was already one with the Force before your death. The Sith philosophy is inherently selfish and driven by desire for personal power, so that kind of total surrendering to the will of the Force and acceptance of the temporary nature of your bodily existence is an anathema to then. Their desire for power and immortality ironically means they can never achieve true immortality, so they closest they can get is binding their spirit to a place or an object, effectively trapping it in the mortal plane unable to reach the afterlife. For many that would seem like a terrible fate, but for the Sith it means they won't have to relinquish the power they have acquired. Though millenia trapped in the material plane as a spirit might change that view, which is why I'm willing to believe that an ancient Sith spirit could eventually come to regret his decision and desire redemption. Millenia of incorporeal existence is a long time to think and re-evaluate your life choices, after all.

Interesting but the Jedaii’ failed because some were lured to much by the dark side and started a terrible war. Every Jedi that became a Sith after the second Jedi schism were fueled a lot by arrogance and thought themselves better than old codes and failed and were corrupted by their own hubris. Jedi alchemy is seen most with healing and isn’t bad and intent can be a big part behind a lot of powers but using the dark side still means you are enslaving it to your will to do something it doesn’t want to do. I’d say the only true argument for this stuff is that George was ok with the one’s portrayal in clone wars. All other arguments still point to the Sith and the dark side being bad and I most certainly don’t hate the Jedi as clearly they are at least trying to help the galaxy the dark side and Sith aren’t and always become corrupted by their own greed and ego. I’ve never seen or heard of a Sith who concretely used the dark side to help people. The dark side was used to enslave people to the individuals and increase their power base
So Sith "Ghosts" are no different than Vader's spectre on Dagabah? Ajunta imploring Revan to take his sword, is that Revan trying to rationalize his own thirst for power, even while walking the path of the light side?

I have had the very same argument about technology, futurism vs traditionalism ie, whether you should advance it or should preserve the status quo in my DND games. I'm always pushing for new technology improvements in medicine, new foods and make the people of the worlds lives better. Many of my fellow players have objected to this, even creating and spreading medicine because, "you can't change the setting" and "its supposed to be this way" and "it will only lead to all thats wrong with our world". I have always felt this was backwards and why I drifted away from fantasy as a genre. There is often a dogmatic and yet hypocritical belief "were doing good by doing essentially nothing to improve people lives. Let them stay medieval peasants as i fight the monster of the week". If you can't improve the world for the betterment of the people as a while, then no matter how many monsters you slay, your just stuck in pointless cycle of endless battle, a status quo cycle of insanity mindlessly fighting the same enemies over and over for all time. To me that is pointless.

Real-world philosophy is not exactly what i would call quoting the bible lmao Excellent video though! Also 10:15 in fairness, the 2 sith vs 10,000 Jedi was a choice on the part of the Sith themselves, Rule of Two and all....
Such a great listen; outstanding work. as usual. A Jedi in balance should be standard, i.e. similar to Luke, as he could manipulate the dark side and light and remain in control/light side. As Plo Kloons & his forefathers did, for example, having the ability to conjure light more quickly than other Jedi is standard. Still, he was told to not let others see he had the ability. Yoda readily used lightning to fight the Sith. Jedi's "darker powers" elements make them a more attractive storyline. The Star Wars franchise did mention it would do a film or a series based on time before the current Jedi, i.e. the Je'dii; I wonder if they will still do it or if it's been shelved.
Emerald lightning ie electric judgement isn’t a dark side ability and is the light side when plo koon used it the first time he immediately went before the council so they could check if he used the dark side and all the masters sensed he was calm and had no negative emotions behind the ability and Luke used the same one. This is in the essential force guide and even the wiki points this out. The baran do sages are using the same ability and the Jedi are aware of this and know the baran do are a light side order
You're starting from a position that it's right of the Jedi to make those kinds of decisions in the first place. By the Prequel era, they've divorced themselves from making big brain moves, differing to the "will of the Force" and whatever manifestations it takes. The Jedi are knights. Servants. Their power is the Force, that power comes from *every* living thing in the galaxy. Ergo every living thing in the galaxy has some say in how they use that power. They're very effective in their role as guides, generals, watchmen, advisors. And when they come up short, it's most likely going to be in the fault of those around them. The Republic failed the Jedi.
The Jedi are good enough easily better than the sith. But they are fairly flawed. This video points out how the Jedi are ultimately responsible for the sith surviving and the infinite number of lives lost because of that. Also, in what multiverse would this video be considered cope? What is he coping about.
I don't think you can split them so much. Even in many religions there's talk of palaces and kingdoms of above which get a pass for being natural by virtue of always existing in the cosmology presented in the sacred texts. I don't think you can separate natural from unatural. If it wasn't natural it wouldn't have happened.
the jedaii were for thousands of years more or less perfectly fine as a grey civilization but then had one bad encounter with a darkside focused group and they completely lost their minds over it changing their beliefs to claiming the lightside by default the good part of the force and the darkside is the evil part of the force and pretty much ever future conflict least involving the force seems to stem from this change in their beliefs. also the sith mainly only completely became such a xenophobic aggressive group after they started regularly being target by the jedi weather its renegade jedi enslaving them or lightside jedi trying to wipe them out. also their is so many people who can't stand the thought that the jedi aren't some purely flawlessly good group of people it can be somewhat silly at times for example the reason why jedi pretty much banned marriage is one jedi master had his heart broken when his wife became a dark jedi so all future jedi weren't allowed to marry. where im of the opinion that the post civilization sith sure they were almost universally evil psychopaths while the civilization sith were motivated heavily by wanting to survive in a hostile galaxy which hadn't ever given reason for them to believe the jedi and by extension the republic weren't out to get them.
The more I look deeper into Star Wars lore the less black and white it becomes! The movies alone already had a lot of controversy and plot holes on the definitive “good guys”, but when you realize that the Jedi don’t actually help the galaxy the escalate the problems you start to favor the villains
The Jedi try and then a few individuals become arrogant think they are better and try and enslave the galaxy to themselves. It’s hard for an order of only a few thousand to control trillions and they know they shouldn’t. The Jedi were at their worst during the clone wars when they should have stepped away from either side and been apolitical which just goes back to their greatest mistake not being we should use the dark side sometimes ensuring more will become corrupted constantly instead of only occasionally every few hundred or thousand years to we instead never joining the republic and promising to be its defenders
The light is the great destroyer. When one threatens gods power god seeks to destroy it. The Jedi is corrupt. Since they could not control the sith they seek to destroy it.
The with are evil and kill billions as soon as the come into existence. As well the Jedi are aware of and let plenty of other force orders exist such as the aing ti, the fellansi, the dathomir witches, the baran do sages.
The Sith have done some terrible things, but so have the Jedi; both are equally villainous in their own ways throughout the Star Wars universe. The Sith have always been true to their own thoughts & feelings, whether that be evil or just chaotic is not the point. The issue I have w/ the Jedi is that they pose themselves as righteous or “better” than any other teachings other than their own & have continually lashed out in fear of what they don’t understand or are unwilling recognize as as legitimate way of thinking. It parallels perfectly w/ how Christians lead double lives as a whole; acting as “godly” or righteous in one hand, but then becoming hypocrites in the other by taking the Christian god’s responsibilities into their own hands & condemning those who do not see eye-to-eye w/ them, even going as far as subjecting non-Christians into authoritarian regimes to stamp out the “darkness”, which is everyone & everything that doesn’t measure to their “light”. The problem is viewing things in such a dichotomous manner. It is not good & evil or light & dark, which are human constructs, but order & chaos which are not inherently good or evil. It’s been proven in the Star Wars universe & IRL that balance is possible if one opens their mind to the possibility that their way is not the only way. As a Veteran that served during a time of longstanding war, I empathize w/ both sides since what is morally right or wrong is purely based on perspective of the individual, where one person sees justice, the other side views wrongdoing. To view things dichotomously is a mentally & emotionally immature view.
Atheist have been on a crusade to present themselves as better and more intelligent than Christian’s since the 2000s and constantly give out death threats, all humans are hypocrites to some extreme but Christian’s now days haven’t been going on purges. War is war we all know it’s dirty there are definitely something’s that should be outlawed but war never changes and is about using force to defend push agenda. The Sith always have caste systems, slavery, and human experimentation stuff the Jedi don’t endorse or do themselves except for the clones during the clone wars which can count as a slave army. The world is grey but the Sith are evil the Jedi screw up but at least are trying to do good. Christians aren’t any more forcing people into their way of thinking certainly not as much as other groups nowadays and aren’t going out and forcing people by way of death generally just through too much annoying kindness
The dark side enslaves the force and other people. He Jedi screw up but also have given the galaxy thousands of years of peace whereas whenever the Sith show up they cause years of war
I agree on the Jedi being driven by fear. And what did Yoda say? "Fear is the path to the Dark Side." Ironic that they don't listen to themselves.
He knew, but he didn’t realize.
The thing is, we're all driven by fear. All life is

@@TheDizzyyD I’m not telling him what to discuss on his channel, graduate.
I don’t think someone’s random opinion in a trivial comment section of an “OK” video is on his radar or that it would ever affect him or his channel to any degree.
Are you a real person or some UA-cam “creators” white knight?
Do you do work with this channel?
Any intimate relations with anyone who has anything to do with the production of this channel?
While being a simp may increase your social standing in a given cult of personality it lacks any value when presented to a genuine human being.
One who, like most others, should not fear stating one’s own personal preferences.
I don’t make up the rules that’s just how it works. 🤷♂️
@@TheDizzyyD Hey, you remember what the primary topic on this channel was for years, right? The topic that made this channel what it is today?
Has enough been said? Too little?
Does it matter?
You are a subscriber to this channel who has never commented until now so I must ask, in the 14 words of my small sentence, what was it that inspired your retort?
Or maybe, maybe a grain of wisdom will illuminate you to not comment at all. Let’s see…

From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!
Then you are lost!
Revan: ( has returned from the grave again) anakin if you want to beat your master you must do the ancient sith technique of running away
SPACE!!!
Real-world philosophy is not exactly what i would call quoting the bible lmao
Excellent video though!
The Jedi are the good guys fam. This video is just major cope lol
The Jedi are good enough easily better than the sith. But they are fairly flawed. This video points out how the Jedi are ultimately responsible for the sith surviving and the infinite number of lives lost because of that. Also, in what multiverse would this video be considered cope? What is he coping about.
Right off the bat, oppression across space and time of the Star wars galaxy.
By the sith
@@tjmcfadden5137well its the Jedi fault
@@SpartanAnimations. I disagree
They were also restricted to one planet, and were quite ignorant of the Force at large.

Wrong
The light is the great destroyer. When one threatens gods power god seeks to destroy it. The Jedi is corrupt. Since they could not control the sith they seek to destroy it.
The with are evil and kill billions as soon as the come into existence. As well the Jedi are aware of and let plenty of other force orders exist such as the aing ti, the fellansi, the dathomir witches, the baran do sages.
**Reads title**
Lol, I already hate the Jedi. What a sh*t and stupid order
Is the rest of the series gonna be full of Bible quotes?
The Jedi are just like the Democratic party to the Republican Sith, posed as opposition but working to the same ends… welcome to my ted talk
The Dark Side isn’t evil and the Light Side isn’t good either, but it is their extreme that are.
The dark side powers only exist to do harm, to their enemy, and to the user
The dark side enslaves the force and other people. He Jedi screw up but also have given the galaxy thousands of years of peace whereas whenever the Sith show up they cause years of war
Yeah screw those guys!
