Peut-être un jour mais pour le moment je me concentre sur les 80's-90's car Dereck aime bien ces deux décennies et y'a encore quelques tubes de ce groupe que j'adore! 😉 J'ai acheté leurs deux compils tu sais qui étaient sorties en 2020-2021 en deux parties même si j'avais aussi le Birthday album mais ça s'arrêtait en 1991 je crois.

Sure, often people don't like their beloved originals messed with, but IMO it's not such a serious thing to add a fun 90's version of the song as it isn't meant to be superior, just another version! I also happen to think that even if it's a lot less 'fancy' as it's more plain and electronic that Kate Ryan's version is beautifully done and has a really cool vibe to it.

Hi Dereck! Thanks for your react on Indochone. This song "Drugstar" was released on September 27, 1996 as the second single from their seventh album "Wax" but not ranked in the TOP 50.
The title evokes youth and its questions, the transition from childhood to adolescence, the first emotions, sexuality, the discovery of bodies, transgressions but also the theme of family and the family cocoon.
The videoclip is directed by Yannick Saillet.Shortly after, he directed the video “Satellite pour Indochine” in 1997.
We see a group of teenagers who seem good at the start of the video but whose atmosphere quickly deteriorates during the song.
The room where they are gathered will quickly become a playground, a place of games without codes or rules in the absence of parents, of freedom, of indiscipline where forbidden games, debauchery (kissing), the discovery of cigarettes and drugs, the deterioration of the decor.
We also see the singer Nicola Sirkis in the bathtub (omnipresent imagery in the clip but also the album cover), both a spectator but also an accomplice of this group of teenagers who move around him, who would even see them doing the same juvenile stupidities as them, or even agree with them, without inflicting any sanction or punishment.
