I was feeling on the fence about those who have so many box openings, and they always say pretty much the same thing, and every baby makes them want to cry. Then, you also hear them say that they need to sell some of their babies, whom they love but haven't bonded, to be able to bring in new ones. 🤪
Lola looks so amazing in the romper you put her in. I absolutely LOVE it!! I really love the slouchy socks on babies & the romper is just so perfect for that "fall vibe".
So I would agree with you on everything your saying about box openings. I myself have certainly had many many box openings. All of them were exciting & special, but of course many dolls have come & gone quickly. Especially when I was newer in still discovering my preferences in sculpts & the art. My taste as changed & probably will continue to as I grow in the hobby.
I think that most collectors are not being "fake" & that it's more of getting caught up in the excitement of the event then anything else. Time usually tells weather or not a collector will become attached enough to a doll to keep in in their collections long term. Some ppl also love the thrill of the hunt & bringing home a new baby. I've parted with dolls that I did really love simply bc I wanted to experience another.
That's the way it goes in a hobby & we are all different. I think some ppl get caught up in nit picking & harshly judging others & it's just silly.

Lola looks lovely in that light..In my experience, the box openings that’s have been WOW .the doll has moved on in 12 weeks! The most TRAUMATIC box receivings that have had me shaking.. crying.. and almost defiant ..the babies are still here! (But the box openings would NOT have been pretty! 😂😂) i love to watch box openings.. I love the excited emotion.. but I am for sure a slow burner.. it takes me time to grow to love a baby ..to show it in its best light.. to give the best kudos to the creative Artist.. 🤗🥰🤗
Hello Kellie. I really love this very cute fall outfit on Lola! Fall will soon be here & she looks ready for the cool weather. I only got 2 dolls that didn't measure up to what I thought they should be. My other box openings were a great experience as I love them & the gifts that came with them. I get very emotional and caught up in my box openings. 📦 But as you said, we're so emotional that we might miss something. I have chosen to slow way down on box openings and only get babies I'm extremely drawn to. I used to buy on whims and those were the babies I don't have any longer. I'm enjoying my hobby so much more now that I do it that way. 💜💜💜

I didn’t know that people could see box openings that way lol 😆. I, personally, like to record my box openings and share in my channel authentically without hidden motives and in a honest way. Sometimes I can see at first sight some things that are not perfect or that I don’t like but the overall experience is what I’ll share. I always try to look at the video before positing to see if is something that I don’t like or I don’t want to share or if I’m too noisy and/or excited 😆
But is good to know what other people think about it. I didn’t see it that way 😂

Hello Kellie. I do think that it's very easy to get caught up in the joy and excitement of a box opening! I have one doll that I truly do love the face. The body doesn't thrill me. Perhaps, if I reweight the doll I'll like it more. I have not tried that yet. Or perhaps I need to try a different body on it. Time will tell.
Off topic, I found my unicorn dress for my Tink doll, Stephanie! I brought it from Amazon. She looks so pretty in it. I wanted you to know that. 😊 ~Gina
Hi Kellie Lola May looks amazing in her little fall outfit. Love the socks. Her colouring looks great, and l love her little pink hands. I think it would be really hard not to get overexcited when doing a box opening. The ones I've watched they certainly do. I agree though with you it would be better to really look at the doll first, make sure it is what you want. Thanks Kellie 💜💜

Every box opening I've had until now has been like Christmas in July. I have reborns and silicone babies and each time I've been very excited while I was discovering them for the first time in person.
I have never made any box opening videos (only pictures) because I know that I may find things I don't really like, a few days after.
When I received my first baby, I was so excited that I found her perfect and all the stuff that was with her too.
A few days later, I became a little more objective and noticed some little things I didn't like or that were not so perfect.
I was used to watch videos of high end reborns that came with wonderful box openings and it took me a moment to realize that mine were not as great as it seemed.
Anyways, I was very happy, but if I had made a video of me so excited opening the box, I think I would have found myself quite ridiculous. 😅😂
After this 1st time, I decided I would never make box opening videos, only photos. 😉

I actually only had one bad one that didn't look like the photos and the painting was not good and that came from a well-known artist so i put it up for sale but other than that i have been really lucky 😊
Love the outfit, not a fan of the collar body suit under it, but that’s just me. Definitely much better lighting! I am too shy on camera so I can’t imagine sharing a box opening however they are what we like to watch and they get the views, so I agree maybe they are something to share but not right away.

Hi, yes, she does fit in 0-3 months size but some brands may run large on her since she has long skinny legs and arms.
