A neighbor once told my mother there were no dogs in heaven. My mother said she wasn't going, then! I recognize that beautiful overlook spot at Sewanee, too. It was my husband's and my favorite place. If Benson had been there 50 years ago, it would have been perfection!😊
Lost my GSD soulmate Jake on 7-15-2023, my heart misses him more everyday that goes by, once they're gone your love for them only deepens. RIP my sweet boy, my heart will never be the same, thank you for 12 years of unconditional love, joy, silliness and fun....I will always love and miss you. ❤❤❤
My condolences. I lost mine 9/5/2024. It’s still so raw and any time I have a normal moment, something happens and I expect to hear him trot across the floor to come investigate, or I hear the neighbor dog barking and instinctively go out to call him inside, thinking he’s just out back. My toddler calls out to him and asks to see him most days. It’s been tough. They leave such a mark on your soul. When they’re gone it doesn’t seem real. They’re always with us, and always will be.
I lost mine on Sept 20th, a week yesterday. He was 12 yrs and 9 months old. He finally lost all use of his back hips and back legs. Our vet put him to sleep while my son and I held him and cried. Hank, I will love you forever! Thank you for the most wonderful time of being your person.
@@amyheltonwalker that's what happened to my guy, woke up unable to use his back legs to stand, he was having increasing difficulty for the last year or so leading up to this, you see it happening and know the time is coming and when it does it is soul and heart crushing. Hoping the memories of your prescious pup helps to heal the pain in your heart.❤

Our VLAD crossed the Rainbow Bridge this past January 19 in my Birthday. He was only 6 1/2 years old! DOGS and CHILDREN should NEVER get cancers!!! I can't wait to see you AGAIN!!!💔
