Anytime someone says "are you ready?" This song pops in my head and I just want to say it like Korn hahaha
It's been 30 years, IT NEVER GOES AWAY...
I was in that crowd and never felt less safe in my life. It was wild in the pit.
I was there too
Lucky dude! If I was ten years older, I prolly would have been in that pit too! 😎🤘🍻
so jealous
I was there also . Still got a piece of the wall
you sir are a survivor
I saw these guys 63 times from 94 to 2011 and they always brought that energy. They lit the fuse that burned the Woodstock 99 to the ground.
I never got to see them I was too scared to go by myself lol.
Took my son to see them when he was a kid. He’s 36 now and still likes them. The concert was awesome.
Love this, now that’s what I call some top-notch parenting! I listen to KoRn everyday, my favorite band ever, & I’m currently pregnant, so we are both listening to KoRn together. I wonder if it’ll soothe her if I play KoRn for her after she’s born, lol 😂? That would be awesome!
That song is 30 years old. The concert was 25 years ago (summer of 99 very hot week) and it was never on the radio. Most main stream attention it got was on Beavis and Butt Head circa 1995.
Wait so a non-mainstream song had 450 THOUSAND people singing the lyrics in unison??? No way KoRn wasn't the biggest band in the world by that point in 99
@@javianjohnson8746 KoRn got mtv attention mostly from Got the Life and Freak on a leash. (The Box which you would have to pay for would play Soots and ladders and Clown). The first album received no radio play in 1994-95. Radio wasplaying Green Day, Offspring, Live, Weezer, Candlebox, and other alt bands. Magazines like Kerrang would often showcase KoRn, RobZombie, and Marylin Manson.
Woodstock ‘99 was, well….. a Trainwreck (the name of the Netflix 3-part documentary about how this festival went completely off the rails due to gross mismanagement and corporate greed). Definitely worth checking out.
Came to say the same. Would make a hell of a reaction
But it was also an awesome festival despite all that
Has anyone ever seen a crowd that hyped, insane, and energetic? I’ve never seen that energy at a show in my life!
Hit up some of your local metal subscribers and go see some shows, you'll love it. There'll be plenty of old guys standing in the back row, you don't have to get in the pit, no one's going to think your a wus.
furreal. you can be as safe as you need to be at pretty much any metal show with zero judgement. i’m a chick in my late 40s and am comfortable enough that i’m taking my 5 year-old niece to her first festival this year.
@@psychobetha Remember to keep those ticket stubs, it makes it a lot easier to explain how your kid/niece got a black eye in the pit. That was not a fun conversation with the school principal.
I'm 56 in the pit. Fuck the back
@@MrDirty-if7gc that's actually great advice lol. her teacher was pretty cool when we told her we were pulling Ava out of school for a week in May to go to a music festival but ya never know.
I just discovered KoRn in 2022 from the Woodstock doc on Netflix. That specific Blind video has my addiction going through the ROOF 🔥
I've seen KoRn 104 times in concert and counting. IMO there is no one better live
Well I'd hope you think they are good live lol
Only had the pleasure of seeing them twice, however they were the first live band I ever saw at the age of 13. Blown away
I agree with this statement. I’ve seen tons of bands and KORN is my number 1. Metallica multiple times too. KORN puts on such a good show.
Does he still go like he used too? A lot of my old favs voices are shot...
@@Tony-fq5bn yes they still got it. No vince neil problems yet
This was the most gnarly concert I ever saw. It’s amazing that people are still talking about it. At the time I didn’t think anyone would give a shit about this Korn set in 20 years. The world has proven me wrong.
This was one of the best experiences I've ever had in my life. I was there and to see people still talking about it is unreal!!!
You head banged, I subscribed. Jumped around to this many years ago at Download and screamed the lyrics out at the top of my lungs. Good times
Getting to see Korn, Linkin Park, and Snoop Dogg together was the best concert i've been to
Projekt Revolution?
@@Kapok6 -yes!
@@vanhamlin July 24, 2004 Columbus, OH, I was there. I still remember that show. It was great.
My ears were ringing for days after seeing KoRn!!
HERE TO STAY by KoЯn should DEFINITELY be your next reaction. The official video is pure energy!!!
Another really good live performance is my gift to you from this concert, hope you get into korn man they are a great band
Bro, they're the OGs of Nu Metal. And Blind is where it all started.... Ive seen em in 97 it was savage!!
You are great man. I don’t even like Korn, but I was hyped with you.
That was 2 guitarist my friend, switching it up and going back and forth. HEAD AND MUNKEY ARE THEIR NAMES! KORNDOES COMMAND AN AUDIENCE❤
MAN this brings me back... I think it's time for Korn's 'Shoots and Ladders' for me it has an even better intro than this
one of the few that sound great live
You should take a look at limp Bizkit Woodstock 99 break stuff that was crazy talk about commanding the crowd
Dude, this whole festival was ridiculous. They literally burned the place down. There's a documentary on it. Check Limp Bizkit from 24-48 hrs later
Just think this crowd is all over 40 now. We went hard bro
Yo Shon, I saw KORN last year for the first time. They were sober and fkng awesome. 🎸 🎶 🎵
I was there, and that energy was insane!!!
Welcome to the Korn!!
This is Beautiful 😍
Experiencing Another Time in Life where This Music was our Anthem. I’ve been to all sorts of Live Shows Rock/Rap/Metal and nothing better then vibing Out with thousands of others to One Rhythm 🥁 one Song
If u have not u should check out limp bizkit break stuff at woodstock 99
Yes the beginning of the end or so 'they' say. I'm going with 8bucks for water.. 😢
Burned the place down
5:11 - Damn straight! That look on your face? LoL. That would be my exact look if I were at that concert with THAT transition?! Another level.
I was at that show. Unlike anything I’ll ever experience again in my life again.
I have seen Korn many times, one of my favorite times was in Bakersfield CA, their hometown and one hell of a show, look fwd to seeing some more shows, they never disappoint.
You were head-banging and missed the best part… the crowd turning into an ocean at 2:30 😳
There is NOTHING like a live metal show! You really should experience one, at least. I say see Metallica. Talk about commanding a crowd! It's amazing to hear 100,000+ fans chanting "Master!" during Master of Puppets or "Die!" during Creeping Death.
Awesome bro.
Two things hurt Korn. They lost a bit when they lost their OG drummer, David. They lost even more when Jonathan Davis took vocal lessons. That's when he stopped focusing on emotion, and started singing how the vocal coaches told him to. He would routinely be off pitch a bit when he wanted to add dissonance. Once the vocal lessons started, he never did it again. He also completely changed his growl. This era of Korn was just raw energy.
When the crowd does that the shit is more real than any show . Woodstock 99 shamed the rock world.
Been to many Korn concerts when I was younger, the pits are no joke there is no room to move, I jumped up and it took a while to touch the floor again lol not for the faint or claustrophobic
listen to the album version called ..Ball Tongue...by Korn and shoots and ladders
Shoots and Ladders!!!
Du Hast by Rammstein live in Paris is amazing for audience participation
KoRn changed everything. Their influence is everlasting. Clown? Helmet In The Bush? Bruh. That first album is an all time banger revelation of new sounds and they could f’ing NAIL IT every time they got on stage. I’ll never forget following them around SoCal to random venues. Could not get enough of it. So glad they made it to the top and did so without radio play and before the download / app era.
I was 8th grade and the forst time i heard this, it changed my life! I spent the next 10 years trying to drum like Dave
Broooo u should watch the Documentary on Woodstock 99 it was a disaster and Korn started the downfall of it all it’s crazy!
The mismanagement was the downfall. The acts were great. I had a great time.
This shits way better than coffee in the morning
Untouchables is their best album from an OG Korn fan.
You should go brother. You'd have a blast!
The production at Woodstock and from the MTV crew was pretty incredible, like the simple lighting effects and perfect cuts really add to the show, this shit sounded and looked like a melodic airstrike lol
Us gen x,ers could bring it 🤟🏻🎸
I was 14 when this album came out and this song ripped through all my friend's stereos like wildfire, LOL. It KINDA changed everything. Good times. Keep on rocking man!
Limp Bizkit - Woodstock '99
Woodstock 99 was an amazing show.
Pro-Tip: always go to the big scary shows & live a littlw bit while you can!
I was at this concert! The energy was fucking unreal!
I wasn't a huge fan, but seen them in Ozzfest 2003. They put on a good live set I will say that
🔥🔥
It was actually an overall miserable weekend. Hot as hell over too much concrete. People huddled in whatever shade could be found. $4 bottle of water (expensive for back then). A few bands made it worth it (Korn definitely did)
Megadeth “Symphony Of Destruction” live from Argentina..You talk about commanding a show, holy sheeeet!!!
RATM-Testify live Finsbury Park in England is 🔥
That show was CRAZY!!!!!
🤘🏼🤘🏼
First of people of KoRn need to educate you a little bit…
There was no ‘switching it up’ on guitar
One guitarist played out of the left and one would play out the right then they would synchronize in harmony
I also think that it should be of note that while this was ‘WOODSTOCK 99’
It was just honestly a giant KoRn concert
They arrived for their set
Every other stage shut down
All 400,000-450,000 people were there for KoRn
You need to react to DMX at Woodstock! 😊
I was at Woodstock 99 and 94 check out sevendust too close to hate at Woodstock 99 🔥
always listen to album version of korn before live.
Korn live is one of my all time favorite experiences. I laugh when he talks about them bending over and hopping as they play.. my dude.. there's only so much you can do when you play massive 7-string guitars ;) Thanks for checking them out though.. it's nice to see more people getting into heavy music.
: YEE i NEVER HEAR THAT SONG.YUP sure are you living in the MOON
When concerts was concerts 😊
Seen them at Sick and Twisted Tour 99 or 2000 in St. Louis. They tore the place down, awesome night.
Daddy by Korn is a nice happy tune
Some say this is the hardest anyone has ever went. Aya’, hard was went that day.
*stereotypical Maine accent
Korn Is AWESOME 😂😂😎👍🏻

This is why 90s was the best. You kids missed it all
Check out their cover of Another Brick in the Wall
hard to digest Korn 🌽
Gosh i miss the 90's and very, very early 2000's😥well, basically everything before around 2005ish! Music, movies, money and life in general was awesome! What we are left with now is just unoriginal autotuned garbage and remakes of the worst kind.
Want some crazy crowd work checkout Parkway Drive - Wild Eyes (live at wacken)
Check out the isley Brothers who's that Lady 👍
White folk keeping root music alive.
Please do Korn clown, Adidas, freak on a leash and got the life

I wonder if the seismographs detected anything. 🤪
if U listen metal u should watch live concerts :)
when concerts were real
chk. out Teddt swims, loosing control , or tenn. whiskey. sun out guns out.
What a horrific experience for this crowd with some of the greatest bands and performers they would ever get to see.
People blame the bands for hyping the crowd up too much. What the fuck are they supposed to do? It’s why they do what they do! It’s why we love them.
Was just shitty organisation and the money hungry promoters should be put through the exact same shit they did to the crowd.
Every day. Forever. But without the live music from amazing bands.
MAYBEE TRY SOME HOT TUNA!!THANK YOU.
Check out Richard Marx-Hazard
Back when live festivals were lit. Now it’s just boring artists & dead crowds at your local Coachella and rolling loud lmao
Check out stuck mojo.
I was 18 yrs young off to the left in the crowd. Had some dudes hot girlfriend on my shoulders cuz he was short 🔥
This whole festival was a shit show. They had it on an old abandoned airfield on extremely hot tarmac. The temperatures were extremely hot. Add to the fact that everything was so expensive. The sanitary conditions were non existent and you had a 24 hour rave club going on at all times. The only other festival that can compare to how poorly planned it was is the Altamont festival when festival organizers used the Hell's Angeles as security.
