Here's what I don't understand...Kaepernick knelt during the national anthem, kneeling is still a sign of respect. He didn't spit on, stomp on, or burn the flag. He didn't even turn his back on the flag. And he gets all kinds of disrespect. But during his rally, trump doesn't even MENTION 10 American sailors who lost their lives last week, and no one blinks an eye at that. WTF?

+Tofu If you really believe the NFL has the right to blacklisting players for political reasons, you don't understand the concept of free speech. The only reason a player should ever be barred is for breaking the law, which many other players do routinely, or simply not being a good enough player. Clearly, a silent protest is not breaking any laws and, surely, he's still good enough for a backup slot.

100% agree with everything, except for the "sign Colin Kaepernick" part. Do you realize that HE was the one that opted out of HIS player contract to become a free agent? He's not a good QB anymore, but I totally get the message that the NFL is sending. I don't hate Colin, I'm glad he took a stand/knee, whatever it may be. But it's not the NFL that just "gives" the guy a spot on a roster.
Kapernick sucks look at his stats
There are QBs with worse stats than Kaepernick's getting jobs, so this is absolutely the NFL blacklisting a player for whatever reason. Why they're doing it to him is less relevant than the fact that they *don't* do it to other players who actually deserve to be blacklisted...wife beaters, dog fighters, etc. F**k the NFL.
He opted out because San Francisco was already going to cut him. By opting out first, Kaepernick's agent was able to start talking with other teams. At the time, few people predicted he'd have a hard time finding another team, so getting a start on his job search made perfect sense.
+Tommy Litch: Of the 90+ QB's in the NFL (second, third string, etc), you can't honestly say Kaepernick doesn't deserve to be on a team based on his skill. He may not be at the peak of his career, but he's definitely better than a ton of backup QB's that have a job.
He's being blackballed plain and simple. To argue otherwise is just being ignorant (or racist).
