imagine the start as an OP for the 4. season. Hearing this familiar song but once again as a new remix. Honestly this anime was kinda "down to earth" and not over the top big swords, magic kawaii bs. Shame its over
I've only started watching it and i love every second of this Anime! It really feels like I'm watching a realistic(ish) TV show and not any usual anyone. Also I get a lot of vibes of cowboy beebop from this show and i seriously don't know if I like it better than CB.
It has its moments of whacky backflips and stuff. Berserk does big swords right. Love this and that though

wow, recently made my GF watch black lagoon and forgot how good the opening was, really glad you made a cover version. I love the chorus in this song, well i love the entire thing but mostly the chorus. Big fan of how you went high with the weapon i have it all, I always thought the original should have done that. Harmonizing the regular verse was also a great call.
I do think the MELL version chorus has a little more bite, slightly higher vocals during the chorus and volume dynamics between her verse and the chorus are greater, making the chorus seem stronger/louder.
Your version has more everything packed into it and sounds a lot fuller. I'd say overall the sound quality and instrument / drums and your vocals are better. I'm sure you have gone back and forth between MELL and your cover hundreds of times and as a musician I'm sure you can agree that every time the chorus came in on the original it feels so amazing, It's almost like you are "absorbing" the music, and really hear/feel it.
Anyways sorry for long rant, but you should know you did a fantastic job on this cover.
I just gotta say that I've been listening to you for years and I can see how much you've improved over the 5 plus years I've been listening. You just get better and better with each song :D

I was not expecting AmaLee to actually curse here, but I guess it's all about staying true to the song, even if some words were replaced with others.
Finished the show for the first time two days ago, at time of writing.
Loved it. Not my absolute favorite, but it got me to get into a genre I'm not typically super fond of, and won me over, ten times over.
And I've gotta say, I adore how they managed to get you to like Revy throughout the show, and then suddenly get you to CARE about her with a 30 second scene in the final episode. Really makes her outlook on life make sense.

So I've been keeping up with amalee's music for the last few years or so now. Always loving the new music she records in English. Then I just recently finished watching zombieland saga in English dubs, and usually I'll look up the voice actors to see who does which voice and I'm quite familiar with most of them, although lately there's been a lot of new voice actors.
I was quite surprised to see Amanda Lee as the voice of Junko. I went to check if it is this same amalee, and the link did bring it to her bio page on that site.
It is pretty exciting to see her doing voice actor work now. Maybe she has been for a while and I'm just a bit behind since I took almost a year from watching anime all the time and I was playing video games more instead.
Now I have to check into what other stuff she does voice acting for.
One of my favorite anime shows. The Eng Dub is far superior to the original Japanese. The dialogue is just perfect, and I was surprised by all Revy's mouth lol. Cursed like a sailor. Roberta v Revy, best fight!!
