With the TopDon when you are on a page you wish to screen shot or video, swipe down from the top of the page, you will see buttons for Photo, and Video 😃 Also with WiFi, if possible select a 2.4 Ghz connection, not 5g as the range will be a lot further, and it travels through obstructions better around the shop.
You can always use steel wool to clean the battery terminals instead of the battery terminal brush. Depending on the coarseness of the steel wool (& the amount of force you use) it will take off less material.
It has been very busy, but I’ve also had camera issue and lost some footage a few times. The GoPro will go weeks without issue, then act up a half dozen times the next day. Smh
Great seeing you put that Launch to work. I also have one but find it has very bad translations. Dare I say, dangerously bad? This Chinese scanner uses double negatives and acronyms with very delicate module operations. "Would you like to decline NOT resetting the throttle body?"
It's true, it's fast and cool, good for working on cars, but the software I'm not sure if it's original, why I think so, because it can't be registered on any website provided by the manufacturer or Launch, I get sn: it's not correct so I don't understand how it's working. Because the device is registered and logged in, you can download updates. I watch videos from Launch and in the service functions there are, for example, icons + description, while in CRP919EBT there is only a description, so it also gives food for thought. Why is it different, it's also supposed to be Launch. Finally, purchase the update only from the person who purchased the device and you cannot count on the possibility of e.g. 2 years for the price of 1 year, as Autel does, i.e.: license $150 for 1 year, or $300 for 2 years, where Autel has promotions, e.g. 2 years for USD 150, i.e. one year for USD 75. so quite a difference.
Yeah, there may be differences based on where it’s purchased, but there shouldn’t be. I have not seen it. Although many mistakenly think there is a U.S. based and China based Launch. But they are all made in China. Some are serviced here, by Launch USA and others would have to be shipped back or serviced online from overseas. I think the risk is minimal since my last Snap On scanner the update was $1295 and $995 if you do it every 6 months. I could buy a new scanner every 6 months and still save money based on software alone.
Looking forward to the review on the Launch scanner. From what I understand, Launch, Topdon and Thinktool all use similar programming. I don't know what is up with this "feels like" business. The ambient temperature to me feels like what the thermometer reads. Sounds like "climate change" mumbo jumbo to me.
The only real Automotive Repair Channel on UA-cam, that shows life of an outstanding Flat Rate Mechanic and its entertaining !
Thank you Dan!
Jimmy is not a weather man but one hell of a mechanic maestro conducting repairs .
Haha, thanks OB!

Thanks for the tips! I’ve been so busy just haven’t had to figure that out! Awesome sauce!

Very true! I sometimes use a small wire brush also.
I can’t wait till the discount video comes out. Hoping I can get it and use it on my 2000 F250 7.3 and learn to use it via Mr. J.
Awesome! Saturday is the big day, along with discount link. :)
Good morning
Morning!
I've been using a Launch scanner for a couple years. The software is pretty much the same as the Topdon
Yeah, seems to be about 90% the same.
That is a nice scan tool I hope in the long run you like it , Jimmy are you still doing tool haul videos ? 👍👍
Not as often, just haven’t needed many. There will be a video on this scan tool on Saturday. :)
@@JimmyMakingitwork Awesome sounds good
I'm planning on getting that tester because it has wiring diagrams for some cars and this video.
It is a super handy tool! Thank you!
our record in Indiana is 116F for the highest and -36F for the coldest set in 1936/1994
Man that is a big swing!!!
Can you make a video reviewing the scan tool? I’m seriously considering purchasing it.
Full video on Saturday!
“Sounds like you left the phone off the hook!” I wonder how many youngsters have no idea what you’re talking about 😂😂.

Hi Jimmy, Is work more busy lately? I noticed lately videos are shorter. Have yourself a good week.

I haven't found those yet, but I'll certainly look out for them. Full video on Saturday for this tool.
U add the time for e vap& recharge that's what we do at the dealer under warranty an manufacturer pays it if don't ask it won't be paid
Very true, thanks!
First! Time for another day in the shop! 💪🏿
Boom! Haha, thanks my friend!
I use a Launch Torque 3 and an Autel MX808 to plug the holes. I kind of like the Autel better and it was 1/4 the cost @ about $380.
Yeah, lots of good options. Most only separated by price.
Will that Launch tell you the battery condition and whether it is charging?
It won’t tell you the condition but there will be a data line for voltage.
Does that scanner test shift solenoids?
Yes, it does many bi directional tests as allowed by most OEM brands to use in aftermarket testing.
So I worked on a car from Florida yesterday. I am in michigan and I have no idea how I would react if I got to work on rust free vehicles!
Yeah, when I see what you guys have to deal with on a daily basis I'm amazed. The labor guide becomes meaningless. Keep rowing!
Nice video thats how i want to see a scan tool review video..by a mechanic using it in real life situations! Anything less is uncivilized!!
Haha, thanks very much!
Hey, can you tell me if you got the new topology update launch recently released on this model? I know it got released for the x431v+ etc.
No this model does not offer topology.
How much is that scanner?
It is in the $400’s with the discount this weekend. Full video Saturday!
👍👍
Thanks James!

Yeah, I agree 100%.
My GOOLOO doesn't do that
Maybe time for an upgrade! ;)
You lost me when you started to unpack all that stuff on the bonnet of a car !! I just hope it was your car and not a customer's.
It’s my vehicle. Thanks for watching.
