Honestly you're so right. It's really upsetting to re-watch her depiction in the anime, though I think that the films somewhat make up for it, and even in the later chapters of the Saga of Pravda manga. The early chapters of Saga of Pravda are the GuP that I wish we had. I think that it still keeps some of the silly GuP aspects but also gives a decent balance of more serious tones
