Anna’s journey is incredible. I never had nice nails. I had hang nails and thin, weak nails that would peel and grow in all sorts of twists and shapes. I started with press ons and noticed my nails getting even thinner! After following you and others on UA-cam I got my first polygel extension kit! I now do gel nails and I regularly have to shorten my nails. They are also growing straighter and I almost have a c curve. It’s almost like the extensions have trained my nail beds. Thank you for all,of the free education!
I envy you! My nails break even if you breathe in their direction but even after a year and a half of getting them done, they are still brittle and bleah. 😢
@@curtalaura796 I had to experiment for awhile but finally found what my nails love! You might try some different products or seek out a nail tech who specializes in overlays!
Nails are so all about nurture! Growing up being taught to push back your cuticles and clip your nails in half moon shape (straight edge for toes) gives you nice nailbeds, and their growth and condition depend on your overall health and nutrition; my nailbeds are nice, but whenever I do not take good care of my health, my nails grow slower, get brittle, peel and curve more 😅
Using products with care helps so much, happy to hear polygel works for you! I also love polygel or builder gel when my nails need extra love and protection, and now I'm down to keeping a set for at least a month so I don't see any damage to natural nails anymore 😍
@@curtalaura796 your description makes me think it may be a body/nutrition issue rather than a the nails being poorly taken care of issues.
@@ybwlocs I was thinking about that too. But wouldn't my hair suffer too if there was a nutritional problem?

Yep, been watching Anna since the first video you did with her! Her nails show a lot of improvement. She has a free edge now like you said & her skin looks better so it looks like she's doing well with not picking at it. Her nail beds even look longer! You're doing so good, Anna! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@@Nailcouwhen you are showing the finished product can you please do a side view also. What I mean is holding the hand flat then filming the side of the hand and nails so you can see the thickness and the slight curve from cuticle to tip (not the c curve). Hopefully that made sense. I absolutely love the nails you do. You're incredibly talented.
Anna used to have cuts on her cuticles and redness every time you did after photos. i am so glad for her that she doesn't chew the skin too anymore. it is a hard habit to break but she's doing an amazing job.
Look at Anna's natural nails, Yay Anna! She has been taking care of her nails and look at them now. I have been watching her journey with you since the beginning and am proud of her. Thank you for another good lesson on nails and what happens with over-filing.
I remember she also had all these cuts and wounds around her nails as well. She’s come so far and she should be so proud of her progress!
That’s from bitting and cutting away the cuticles (as opposed to tidying up ‘hang nails’ etc). It’s called paronychia. I’m glad things are going well for her ❤ and I hope she leaves her cuticles alone from now on.

I so wish it were easier to find nail techs like you who really care about doing a good job. I've been to about 20 nail salons in my area, and at every one, no matter if it's a cheap place or an expensive place, they just try to get me out of there as quickly as possibly, and hardly do anything but a polish change. Almost no cuticle care, and they also can't be bothered to get the polish close to the cuticle.
this makes me really sad. that’s why i started to sell press-ons because so many people don’t have a good nail tech close to them and it’s unfair!!!
Or they get it all over, looks bad....🙄
@@abithesimperton all the techs, are that same kind of drill-happy salon...I know of 1 good one, very clean and very $$...nice guy and his wife. Rest are all hacks/ butchers

I was here for the very first video of Anna’s journey, I love this series the most because my nails are pretty much the same as Anna’s. I have struggled my whole life with nail biting, and it’s difficult to stop, especially when so many people tell you “just stop biting them”. I’m a little better about the habit, but Anna has inspired me and I hope to grow strong beautiful nails someday ❤

Hi Anastasia, I have been following you for a couple of years now and I have been following every set of nails that you have put on Anna from the very first time. It must make you feel so good inside to see the transformation in her nails and a client who actually listens when you tell them to do something. I just can't believe that those are the same fingers that looked like they went through a meat grinder the very first video of them that you did. Your journey with her has definitely paid off oh, it's so nice to see that she's happy now with her nails and she has more confidence because that's what we all want women to feel is confident. Beautiful set! Anna is doing so good keeping her nails nice. I am a nail bitter and so are my daughters. I do our nails every two weeks and they now have beautiful natural nail overlays.

It's so gratifying to see how nice her nails look now... the nails attaching to the nail bed more and appearing longer even in the natural state is exciting! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Anna I bet you don’t hide your hands anymore!!! Great job. I used to have nails like Anna’s and I did exactly the same thing, I would curl up my hands and hide them. Now I do my own (thanx a bunch to Anastasia) I’ve worn everything from short to 10X length and love showing off my hands. I even got the nickname of “Ms. Cuticle” because I’m very picky now about my pictures. Cuticles are equally as important as the nail design. I see many beautiful nail designs with disgusting cuticles and the picture is ruined IMHO.

Yes, it is amazing to see, she has longer nail beds, and an actual free edge! These are such good signs, and I really love it! I used to be a nail biter, but now my nail beds are long and nice. I have a friend who has thin, short nails, and I wish to help. Should I use only builder gel? And no free edge in the starting point?

So true about nail biters needing to have something on their nails. I can’t go with bare nails or I will bite them down to bleeding. Always need to have product on them.

I can do any length. I like the nails how hey are before the extensions. Why can be applied to keep nail strong if extension wasn’t put on. Building in bottle?
