Thanks! Naples has never been on my bucket list You changed my mind. 20+ years ago I did at least part of all of your Naples/Salerno walks. Fish market hotel room and rent a moto. And so you know, you are a major part of my cardiac rehab routine . You are saving my life.
Hey Old Rodg! That is quite a compliment! :) I love Naples. I went back again yesterday and walked all around so you will be seeing more of Naples soon. I also plan to go back and rent a scooter and film a ride around Naples. That should be quite an experience. Well let me know if you ever make it over here. We'll go out for a pizza! :)
Right on Ol' Rodg, I too have difficulty getting around on foot and the vids are quite uplifting. Continue getting better and I'll pray for your speedy recovery
Another great walk! Fascinating to see how totally worn down the neighborhood gets about 10 seconds from the main streets. The visit with the sweet old gentlemen at the leather shop was a highlight, hope you picked up the belt they made...
I will be posting more walks of Naples but instead of one long 4-5 hour video, I will be posting shorter videos of specific areas. The next walk will be up the Historic Center. Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it.
Dude, you're really helping folks. I'll hear music and talking in front then passing to one side or the other and then to the rear. Really adds to the experience, nicely done and quite uplifting while producing those brain neurons with vigor! These are like real vacations man!
"These are like real vacations man!"....might need to be my new catch phrase. :) I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, watching with headphones makes all the difference. I filmed the historic center and another market this weekend. If you enjoyed this one then I think you'll really enjoy these new Naples walks. Thanks for watching!
Hey, glad you are enjoying them. I have so many more to post up. I am way behind. :) Tomorrow will be the Naples Historic Center Walking Tour. Thanks for watching.
The neapolitan language is really different, however what you've heard is not just neapolitan, actually there are people talking in some pakistani, arab and eastern europe languages. Hope you've been able to recognize the differences.
pinco pallo For the whole video I just only perceived Neapolitan people talking. Sure if you spent more time walking nearby Chinese or Pakistan shops you will have the chance of hearing them talking, screaming or laughing and will catch their languages excerpts spreading in thin air all around thru neighborhood. 😀😎😘
What are you talking for? There are even people joking with Prowalk guy as the man in Porta Nolana at 17:39 saying to his opposite booth lane friend "Now this guy will make you a TV interview!", and the one in Via Lorenzo Fazzini near his booth raising his hands at 24:08 and saying "I surrender! Don't shoot at me with your rifle!" looking at gimbal. 😁😝🤣 You will feel no such sympathy and irony elsewhere in whole world... 😀😎😘
What a brilliant market..theatre..i laughed and laughed when a fish monger dropped a big fish on the ground ..so good ..thanks i have been to Naples a long time ago and loved it . ..
I've always wondered what the streets of Naples were like to walk around-----I'm from Wisconsin, USA...I sort of doubt I'll ever visit Napoli in my lifetime, though I'd love to. So much fish and seafood for sale in the street markets! I'd be curious what method you use to hold your camera so steady. Very interesting to watch---thank you!
Hey NaseemKO, for this video I was just using a DJI Osmo Pocket camera on a selfie stick. For all my previous videos I was using a Gopro and a gimbal. I went back to Naples again yesterday and walked all around. You will see much more of Naples soon. It is my favorite city I think.
This is NOT how the street of Naples are like to walk around. This is a local market, where usually you can find a lot of immigrants and illegality. Sometimes looking at the video it seems to be in Africa or Bangladesh. Luckily this is not how Naples looks like. Prowalk did other videos about Naples, on normal streets. That is Naples. Bye!
If you are searching for different locations you need to make a walking tour of Liberty Style Naples in Via Chiaia zone, a tour of the Vomero and its Castle, searching for again for Liberty villas hidden between modern buildings and a tour of Posillipo Hill and Parco Virgiliano starting from Mergellina, walking thru Marechiaro and arriving on the Fuorigrotta side of the hill, spotting Nisida Island and Pozzuoli and Capo Miseno, Procida and Ischia island in the distance... A more sportive walk will be starting from Archeological Museum, ascending via Salvator Rosa and continuing all the way long Corso Vittorio Emanuele descending in the end to Mergellina and the sea, or again from Salvator Rosa ascending to Castle Sant'Elmo passing Arenella neighborhood and Piazza Vanvitelli to show how it changes architeture of the city from ancient one to modern style and ending right on the Belvedere of the Castle. Or as a final bonus descending all steps alley of via Pedementina a San Martino downtown to Piazza del Gesù... 😀😎😘👍
amazing video, making of belt by two old men skillfully are very interesting. when you are wandering through bazaar the old man was standing outside his shop then your camera filming the scene, the old man is waiting for you. I think you definitely requested him to shoot inside the shop. please never mind. ok
I actually posted of those last season...but the area was so packed with people it is kind of a slow walk. I was back in Naples today. I will be posting a Historic Naples walk...which inlcudes San Gregorio Armeno, a waterfront walk, and a Via Toledo/Pignasecca Market. It was a busy day there today.
I read this morning in the newspaper that Mr. Danilo Esposito has just died at the age of 92. He was the last saddler of Naples, a prosecutor of a tradition that derived from the Middle Age. May he rest in peace.
Very sad news! My three year old son really likes to watch the video clip I made of Mr. Esposito making the belts. We watch it over and over again. I told my son today that Danilo passed away and he said "I am going to miss him." We all felt very sad here.
Ohhh how sad. May he rest in peace. Pro Walk, next time you will be in Naples, you outta show the video to Master Taddeo... I think he will apprecciate if he is a relative of the late Danilo. 😔👍

Hi prowalk, I really like your video and I hope you will read this comment. I'm from Naples by the way. As you probably noticed, in these markets there's a lot of illegality, and a lot of immigrants (probably most of them are even irregular) trying to sell fake brands stuff. You will have noticed that there were people selling contraband cigarettes, and even the regular sellers probably were not giving the receipts to the buyers. What I'm trying to tell you is that you should be more prudent doing this kind of video. Especially where there are a lot of immigrants. They don't want to be filmed and can be dangerous. Wish you the best. Sorry for my english.
Ciao Pinco, I appreciate the concern. I did get some dirty looks and people asking my why I was filming. I just tried to keep moving so it didn't seem like I was trying to film their operation, but was instead just passing through. Wearing a shirt with a UA-cam logo on it probably didn't help the situation though in this case. I did walk through and film the historic center, the waterfront, and Via Toledo/Mercato Pignasecca. Those walks turned out really nice and will be posted up soon. Do you have any recommendations or areas to walk in Naples? Again, thanks for the comment!
Prowalk Tours Wearing a shirt with UA-cam Logo on was the best move. It qualified you as a videomaker and not a tourist who it is profitable to be robbed, as you potentially can influence important people and move police interest to indagate more easily than any John Doe if being robbed, as long as authorities do not want to spread worldwide a bad image for their city. Also it qualifies you as a simply videomaker not as a menace. But sure be always careful.
pinco pallo That's almost gratuituous of you insinuating many resellers do not giving fiscal bill receipts... 🤔 On the other side Cigarette smugglers sure will prefer not being filmed and can really cause some troubles to ProWalk guy. 🙄
Abdul Rahim Welcome to Naples, one of the cities in Europe, along with Barcelona in Spain and Athens in Greece that has still a high degree in liveliness and it is not a dead city to be shown only in a poster card, like too many cities of northern Europe... 😀😎😘
You were really lucky you comed back at home with the camera and nobody stole it, or at least nobody told you to stop recording. Some of 'em infact felt really uncomfortable. These parts of the city are totally ruled by camorra and the merchandise they sell is contraband. Is a kind of city into the city that follow their own rules, totally indistinguishable from a south American favela or Arab casbah.
Yeah, I've had some weird looks and a few people tell me not to film there before. I try not to keep my camera on anyone too long. It is a pretty shady place down there. I was just there with my family last week and I was taking a picture and a few people all hid their face while I took the pic.
in Italy we do not invest much in tourism, otherwise we will probably live only by that ... there is no city in Italy that does not have something beautiful, story, culture, food, etc. for example the French are famous for cheese, but we Italians have twice as much and better ones .
I am your follow , but I can't sincerely enjoy your videos cuz u walk away so quickly on the market that we can't see nothing , I and hubby would love to see the prices and know some of specific thing that they have but we can't figure it out what it is cuz ur in the flash mode 👎🥺
