you've been told to think that, Jeanne...it all comes down to this; Mayorkis gave more of a semi automatic probation instead of on a case by case basis. he did this because there were no resources to process on a case by case basis, nor were there anywhere near the number of needed beds available to house even a small %. This migration was on a bigger scale. Mayorkis did what he had to do with the funding he was allotted. As the law allows.

There is nothing in the bill that says that 5000 people will be let across the border. 5000 encounters of illegals at the border per day is the threshold at which the president can close the border. Those 5000 would be subject to immediate detention and expulsion. The GOP lied to you about this detail because Trump told them to derail the bill. Trump did not want the problem solved so that he could continue to campaign on it this year. And so they convinced you to oppose the same bill that provided the framework to achieve what you were asking for just a month ago.
Every time a Congress member puts down MTG, I remember how she said to Tucker Carlson, "I'm not in Congress to make friends with these people." Thank you, Ms Green, thank you for your service to the American people.
