My sbe3 shoots left pretty much every time. No matter the shells, the choke, whatever it may be. The groups will only change size but it consistently shoots left 🤷♂️
Just sitting here, watching videos for my first turkey hunt season, and your comments at 13:10.. just started cracking me up man. Great comparison video. Seconding others here that the way the information is provided was very well laid out and helpful.
I patterned my a5 this year with 3 1/2” and 3” long beard xr #6 for both and the 3” significantly outperformed the 3 1/2” at 40 and 50. I also shot the 3 1/2” double x #6 and I wouldn’t feel comfortable shooting at 40 to get a clean kill, so the xrs are a lot better than the double x for me
TSS #9 seems like it does an absolutely incredible job. We can only hunt with #5,6 and 7 shot in my province (in Canada), I wonder if #7 TSS could perform as good as the #9? If anyone has tried that compared to Longbeard XRs #5 (3.5”) please let me know!
That's awesome, for us the goal is to get him within 40 but we don't get alot of opportunities so we like having the power to reach out to 60 if we need it
Why do say you pulled shots left or right? if I buy 5 different loads for my .270 they will each shoot to a different point of impact. Well brother it’s the same thing we are seeing here. You got to move your sights accordingly once you pick the load you’re going to hunt with. Since you’re just using the rib and bead ( I think?) your lucky that the best pattern also shot perfectly to your point of aim. Anyway, thanks for the video.
Great video but 60 is really far to shoot. I just had to suffer thru a guy bragging on shooting bird at 78 yards with tss. How many guys fall into that mentality ? Call them in close or don't shoot..... Last couple birds I killed were 15 yards and under. By all means pattern guns and error on closer than trying far shots to main birds.
Thanks for the comment! Yes, we couldn't agree more. We don't like to shoot much over 40 and 50 is our max. 50 is in the arsenal but we love the chess match and like the challenge to get them in close.
i use remington TSS out of my 835. Federal is overpriced as you can see with this video. Apex and Remington TSS are cheaper and pattern as well or better.
Our grandpaw built that gun range back in the 70's so they moved in and still new it was privately active. They don't seem to mind it too much! But it's "grandfathered in" I would say hahaha
@4 Of A Kind Outdoors a $14.99 or least that's what I paid HS Strut Undertaker .665 constriction for the 4,5,&6 shot lead and copper plated. For me the carlson's .660 TSS 7 shot but my buddy has the best one and it's a cheap truglo but can't think of the restriction and it rocks
@rickvann3489 every gun is different I can take the same 2 shotguns with the same load and same choke and get 2 completely different results. Literally have done it.
@CVDFCVDF9 if barrels are back bored properly and polished all the way through I have seen it come down to the choke. Most people don't polish their barrels, hence the high-end Italian barrels
@rickvann3489 I patterned 2 benelli novas and beretta a300s, even with the same chokes they gave drastically different results. Across all brands and loads of shells. Machining tool marks, batch numbers, GD&T match up, surface finish, and how a choke interfaces on the barrel are all variable factors. There is no magic solution other than go pattern your shotgun with different load/ choke combinations.
Nice video. Just dont know why people put themselves through all the recoil anymore. 20 or 28g is plenty! But far, be it from me to advise something..... This is America . Do what you want
You are correct on 20ga or 28ga! Technology has came a long way. We don't mind the 12 right now given we are so excited at trigger pull that we hardly feel it but I see smaller gauges in the future for sure.

Glad we could make you laugh!
The APEX combo is great🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
REALLY GOOD VID YOUNG MAN I GLAD WE STILL HAVE MEN OF YOUR AGE STILL GETTING OUTSIDE DOING COOL STUFF
I WAS DOING THIS IN THE 70 S
thank you sir!
Appreciate the video - very informative….👍
just watched maybe 6 videos comparing these TSS to lead loads and yours was by far the best. That Apex load is disturbing!
Sounds good man, thanks for the comment! More hunting videos to come.
Winchester LONG BEARD 3.5" #5/6 ALL DAY
That apex is awesome in my opinion been shooting it for a few years now in my 12’s & 20’s
They 100% got it figured out!
@@4ofakindoutdoors Yeah, but $15 a shell! DANG!

yes, we have had a better pattern with the XR's over the past few years
My 870 patterns the best with 3” xr #6.

I kills a nice tom at 56 yards two years ago with Winchers Long Beard XR 3" #6 shot 12ga. One shot rolled him.

Good video brother!!
thanks!
Camera man must like the crouch
As good as the XR was just imagine #9 in the LONG BEARD

you are 100% correct. installed a red dot and sighted in my choses load to it and its a game changer for sure!
👍
Price for performance I would stick with the long beard XR all day

Thanks for the video.... liked and subscribed
Thanks for the sub!
I want to see someone load high brass 7 1/2s and test them
Thanks Guys 👍
you bet! good luck this season!
Great video thank you
I have no problem smoking a bird with 3.5 LBxr #5 at 60yds
very good shell, that's what we used for years!
I did it this morning
What choke are you using in that gun
Kicks High Flyer Goblin' Thunder .665
Apex TSS is worth every penny
i use remington TSS out of my 835. Federal is overpriced as you can see with this video. Apex and Remington TSS are cheaper and pattern as well or better.
The flight control wad probably doesn’t like the choke
Good times, can't wait for North Dakota Turkey season to start 👍🏼
How much longer you got my man?
@@4ofakindoutdoors April 8th can't come soon enough!
Q hermosa arma amigo excelentes para cazar
I LOVE YOUR BACK---STOP WHAT DO YOUR NEIGHBORS SAY ABOUT YOU SHOOTING IN YOUR BACK YARD ????

You need a red dot!
Crazy you said that, just ordered one 2 hours ago!
Yeah I’m Switchin to apex 😂
SHOOTING APEX 2 1/4 OZ 9'S AGAINST WINCHESTER 2 OZ LB XR'S 5'S AND CALLING IT A FAIR TEST IS NUTS. 6'S WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. 660 IS TIGHTER CHOKE.
Wrong choke for the Federal
What constriction works the best with them?
@4 Of A Kind Outdoors a $14.99 or least that's what I paid HS Strut Undertaker .665 constriction for the 4,5,&6 shot lead and copper plated. For me the carlson's .660 TSS 7 shot but my buddy has the best one and it's a cheap truglo but can't think of the restriction and it rocks

Benellis suck
