    I got an entire hitch assembly off a friends 4 runner, that had a full independent rear bar, no removal of the bumper, with Toyota stamped in the metal, and it looked nothing like that at all. it connected to the frame on both sides with like 4 bolts that matched the FJ frame perfectly.

      @@deanerinmiller4043 actually, it did.
      I paid a total of 494.00 dollars for fuel, and 850 for the trailer rental so if I rented a U-Haul. According to the online statistics, I would have paid $2,300 for rental and milage, plus around $600 for fuel for the moving truck plus $400 for the trailer to tow my FJ.
      So I made out like a bandit.

    Great video, Bandit! Love the work you did because it’s exactly how I would have done it (e.g., ordering OEM, cleaning up the crash bar, etc). Great job! I also just wanted to acknowledge that I can tell you put a lot of work into editing this video and it looks awesome! Just a tip that I lost a couple of those Toyota hitch covers on my Tacoma as mine didn’t fit into the receiver very tight. I wrapped a couple of layers of electrical tape around the cover insert to tighten the fit and haven’t lost one since! Have a great day!

    My fj came with the body armor rear bumper, and an aftermarket uhaul hitch when i bought it. Anyways, I went to take the hitch off and the weld nut inside the frame broke off. Just my luck. So I don't know, I may end up taking the D-ring out of the aftermarket bumper and just install an oem hitch.. thanks for the helpful video!

    Hi Bandit, I heard a rumor that Toyota was thinking about re issuing the FJCruiser, is this true or False.? Yours looks nice and they do seem to keep their value even more then the Tacoma I think.

    • @TrailPass
      @TrailPass  4 роки тому +1

      The rumor I've heard is that the next gen Land Cruiser will be more similar to the FJ and will come in a few years. Honestly i love the FJ. My favorite Toyota that we've owned. It's 10 years old but doesn't feel dated and still seems relevant in the days of the new Wrangler, Defender, and Bronco.

    • @TrailPass

      You'd have to check. The previous owner may have left the 4-pin trailer connector tucked up in the bumper somewhere.

    • @TrailPass

      Hello. This is not a kit, they are all separate parts. Here is a list of everything that we used:
      Hitch: PT228-60060
      Wiring Harness: 08921-35870
      This is all that was on my receipt, I hope this helps. Also the Sparks Parts Team is great. If you have any other questions I'm sure that they could help you over the phone. Also use code BANDIT at checkout for a discount!
