For the past years I've been rewritting the same 4 chapters in my novel project, finally hitting a bottleneck in storytelling so I can get further than chapter 5 lol.
The old chorus was out of tune, which would have been a disaster in any other song, but it felt creepy and off-putting which works for Hitman. The old one I listened to like a poem and less like a song. This new one sounds like a song, and the chorus is fine, but omg the bits where there is no music "last breath" and "accidently drown" gave me chills. Made the murder feel so much more impactful.
I will have to agree. The old chorus was my favorite part of the song. I think it captures the terror that a hitman could be, a ghost of death, quite well. The redone version is still very nice, and I think an improvement everywhere else. This doesn't mean the chorus is bad by any means, I just also prefer the old chorus.
Yeah, is definitely a better "song," and where the music cutes out gives me chills, but some lines just don't hit the same as the original. Sometimes that's a good thing, but I don't think this one is decisively the better of the two, at least for me.
I also found the way the old was delivered was... flatter and therefore much more appropriate, thematically and for the character. Less emotion from the person delivering the lines. I really preferred it that way. And while the interruptions may be impactful as you say, is that thematically appropriate or not? I guess it depends on your view.
According to sources I've read and heard; Agent 47 is effectively a Master Assassin but a Jack of All Trades for everything else. So the idea that Agent 47 would sing, it would be competent but not professional which is probably why the old one works in character.
@@farmerboy916 Depends how you look at it and whether you see it from the point of a Victim or Agent 47. To agent 47. killing is nothing so the old version is better, if its the victim then the new one makes more sense for cutting out at key points.
"You know, I've been thinking: maybe we shouldn't hire any bald white guys as guards." "Interesting idea. Let's talk about it more in that deserted area with poor lighting." "Finally! People keep brushing me off, I'm really glad that someone is-" *GAK!*
If you think the old version is better, you may be experiencing NAS (Novelty Aversion Syndrome). This phenomenon is characterised by a preference for the familiar, even when the familiar is of lower quality than the unfamiliar.
I swear every time I play this game i try to be stealthy then 30 minutes later I’m knee deep in body’s with an assault rifle in my hand and a shotgun on my back
The part: "The sound of a coin on the ground / And not a shred of evidence will ever be found/ Take a trip to the facilities with no-one around/ Ain't it tragic how a man can accidentally drown" - Now sounds so rich and becomes more hard-hirring with rach line... Love this remaster! Hopefully, now there isn't going to be any problems with using this song on livestreams...
I listened to the original and the remastered version one after the other, four bars at a time, so that I could compare them properly, that I am not just commenting from a vague memory of the original song. This remastered version exceeds immensely the mixing and production quality of the original all around, without a doubt. The improvement is startling, and, in the most affectionate way possible, downright stupid. It is clear, too, that your creative direction in terms of audio manipulation has improved tremendously, which is easily evidenced by the small touches that you have added ("last breath", "the sound of a coin...accidentally drown"). You should be proud. The small controversy, regarding the chorus, I think, has a clear explanation. While this chorus is of a much higher quality than the last one -- not to mention that it is in tune! -- it is different enough that it sounds as though it is from a different song entirely. That dissonance, alongside the accompanying, harsher transition between the chorus and the verses, is what I would imagine people (myself included) are finding particularly jarring. However, I struggle to call the improvement to the chorus a negative on the quality of the song itself. I am almost convinced that you have to write, record, mix, and master with the transitions in mind to make them seamless, as the transitions are on every other song you have ever produced. So, the discord between the chorus and the verses are a product of remastering a song with different intentions from when it was written. Finally, and of course, the slight clash between the two stands as a testimony to not only the excellent quality of your work, but also as proof of your relentless pursuit of improvement. Overall, as I consider the remastered version, nothing is more fitting to claim than that you have outdone yourself, and have once again demonstrated yourself to produce only the highest quality songs. No amount of thanks could be sufficient to show my gratitude for your dedication and excellence.
I've been second guessing myself (no pun intended) since the negative comments started coming in about the remaster. I think I needed this. Thank you for the kind words, friend! They mean a lot. :)
@@TheStupendium I may not be the majority but please know that I definitely love this version more than the original one. And even if not everyone likes it, they can just listen to the original! Even if not everyone is a fan, it was not a waste because this is now one of my favorites. :)
So, you took one of my favorite songs of yours, because you "hated how it sounded", and made it even cooler. I did did not expect it to get that much cooler ! I love the editing fitting with the video it add new depts and i love ! (+ it now has my name in the credits mouhahahahah)
You know, I STILL can’t get over how much I love the slim shady reference in this song, both the original and the remaster are great!! Also, I think you and Tom Lehrer are the only two men who can successfully pull off “strychnine” as a lyric.
@@goldlizard9270 In one of the songs by Eminem there’s a line that goes “and every single person is a slim shady lurkin, he could be workin at Burger King spittin in your onion rings”
the opinion noone asked for: honestly think the old chorus sounded better but overall there is definitely a more... crisp sound to the track? Don't know if that's the right word but everything is clearly of a higher quality. But what matters is you are happy with your work! Can't wait for more :D
You're the second person to say they prefer the old chorus! Which is totally fine, just surprising to me as the old one was out of tune. xD But I guess that added to the creepy, ominous vibe. It always bothered me but it's nice to know that at least some people liked it! :P
@@TheStupendium Yep, I think that´s the thing that made it special :D I also prefer the older one but I think that is just how taste works: everyone has an individual one.
It's often the case with remasters/redubs - new versions sound "worse" just because they are less familiar. Oftentimes people who hear remaster first would love it much more than original. My point is - give it a try or two, because our brains always need at least a SECOND to re-adjust, right?
@@TheStupendium It felt like a dissonant horde of similarly faceless assassins singing in chorus for 47, or a ghostly chorus sung by his victims over the years, which is why we loved it so much, I think; the new chorus by comparison sounds much flatter and more like it's just backing tracks of a singer in quartet because of how clean it is. The disharmony was actually a positive linking element of many voices not blending together into one, not a negative one, for us. Still, the new one is still great as always, Stupes! Looking forward to the rest of the year.
Much as I still like the original with its more somber type of style, this is absolutely poggers. Especially that sudden drop in 1:06??? I'm going completely hysterical over that
I honestly expected this to just be the original with a higher quality and new visuals. Let's say I was not disappointed with this. Really shows how the quality improved over time.
I remember when this first came out One of your most underrated songs, even if it never was one of my absolute favorites But the atmostsphere is absolutely improved in this remaster My God, there were points that genuinely gave me chills. I love it! Absolutely worth it Looking forward to the next big project!
While I appreciate and admire the work you went through to remaster this piece of music, for me, the previous version is much more musically satisfying. It's probably a matter of personal taste however, and (judging from how people have reacted to this remaster so far) I'm in the minority. But still, while this version caters to a larger audience, I hope you don't think of the previous one as a failure.
I still like the previous version but it has some very rough mixing and some seriously out of tune harmonies. A lot of people seem to like them, I guess they made the track sound more ominous, but musically I much prefer notes being in tune. xD
@@TheStupendium personally I think this versions sounds more echoy, while the original was more plain (by which I mean less obvious sound modification) which added to the idea of agent 47 killing you simply because he is ordered to, to him it is a simple contracted kill, no different to any other and will be completed without notice. This new version makes it sound more like agent 47 is doing this for personal reasons, and in doing so is deliberately making it more over the top and special. (Don't get me wrong, I love both versions)
@@mickys8065 I'm not quite sure, but I think the new targets in Hitman 3 are personal, making this a pretty fitting celebration of Hitman 3's release (even if unintentional)
@@TheStupendium Maybe, but honestly I think the new chorus is not better and is in fact worse. There are a few places where the music cuts out and it doesn't seem right. This kinda proves the point Dan Bull made, but I like both versions and I just think that the changes made to the song ruined it in some places. The song sounds better overall, but I just can't get over the chorus. Going higher with that is not what I think is the best idea for it, 47 is a contract killer after all. Dunno. Preference, and maybe it proves Dan Bull's point further but I honestly think that this was actually a worse version than the first one. I love both version but maybe this might be constructive criticism because there seems to be an overwhelming negative response to the chorus specifically.
@@TheStupendium The old chorus was definitely out of tune, but it was also actually a harmony. In the new version one voice takes priority and the harmony is barely there. I think that's the distinction we're seeing here with listeners. The hymn sound gave the song a lot of flavor that's been lost.
I thought that this would be just a more polished revamp version of the song with nothing new, but I should've thought better than to think less of the stupendous fellow in charge of this. I was pleasantly surprised at 1:06 when instead of the melody still going, there was a pause and an actual breath to emphasize "the last breath" line. Also, the unexpected chorus change caught me by surprise but then it settled in, and I can say with full optimism that the chorus is much better. The original song is one of the best songs he has made thus far, but I am so taken aback by the detail on the remaster. I love it Stups, I just love it.
"Any single person could be 47 lurking. He could be working in burger king, strychnine in your onion rings." Is such a neat little reference, I love it. Killer song.
Personally, I feel like your lyrics have always been the star of the show, and I think this remaster just shows how good you’ve become at making those lyrics as impactful as possible. Bloody good job, sir
While I can't find it now (I may have deleted it) There's a statement that I greatly regret having made about this video that in retrospect is both untrue and I am embarrassed for having made where I stated that the original was better. Coming back and listening to this remaster again (especially after listening to Apex) truly shows that it lives up to that title. It's an improvement in pretty much every single way in both flow, audio mixing quality, and general impact in its small moments. I'm not quite sure why I got so focused on that back then enough to make such an inane comment, and while I doubt they'll see this. I hope Stupendium knows they continue to improve and their work is some of the best on the platform in my opinion! And I look forward to any other Remasters they decide to do because I have no doubt that we'll see similar improvement on those as well.
@@TheStupendium Holy crap I didn't expect a reply! Hahaha! But yeah definitely am, and am glad I took the time to do it ^^, an artist's hard work to continue improving, and being willing to take the risk of trying something old again should always be rewarded!
When there another song of yours there isn't even any questions before clicking on the video. Always so passionate, since all this time, followed you since long, and always so happy u still here making our days amazing with my favorite rap songs of all time. Thanks Stupendium!
The first time this song came out, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. It took me some time to appreciate the lyrics so now, I can enjoy this remaster even more. Good job Sir !
Not sure if it was directly intended after hearing it but the line “He could be workin in Burger King strychnine your onion rings” is (or at least seems to be) a Easter egg to Eminem’s ‘The Real Slim Shady’ with the line being “And every single person is a Slim Shady lurking he could be workin in Burger King spittin in your onion rings, or in the parking lot circling screaming ‘I don’t give a f**k’ with his windows down and his system up”
At first, I thought “ah , so the beat’s the main thing changed”, and then “last breath” was uttered and I got chills. It’s a splendid remaster, and still a damn good song
I think that this version is worlds better than the other. My only complaint is that you missed the opportunity to call this The second "The Second" (as in the 2nd version of the song "The Second)
First Impressions: While I prefer the older song because it sounds more in line with atmosphere of the games, I can appreciate the higher quality of the sound and the extra audio effects. Except the changes to the Chorus, sounds too ‘poppy’, for lack of a better word, and upbeat for Hitman. Still a great song, just making my opinion heard.
There's a lot of little improvements in this version that I really appreciate. Tighter timing on certain verses, slight melody changes, cleaner editing between lines. All together, I think this is a fantastic remaster of the original song! I'm one of those who for some reason prefers the original chorus, though I do think that's the nostalgia talking. That being said, I still think I prefer listening to this version! It really showcases not only your better handle on melody and harmony, but how your skill at polishing your songs has improved too! If I may offer a suggestion for another song to remaster: How about "And then I Prey"? It's one of your earliest songs, and despite how rough it sounds compared to your recent work, it still manages to give me goosebumps. I'd love to see how well you could tackle it now~!
Don't remember if I commented before, but hey why not lol This is amazing. Came up on one of those "mix playlists" that UA-cam pushes into my autoplay when I'm not paying attention...funny enough immediately following the original. This hits so damn good, especially after hearing the original. Loved the original, but this remake scratches the brain just right.
I would absolutely love to see no waves like home and The Vault 76 song remastered, I love the lyrics and melody to waves like home and I didn't think the vocals quite did it justice.
Not gonna lie, i lloved the old version. I used to play my top 7 songs from you every morning at work, and i fell in love with the calm, unaffected tone. But the difference in the new version can be easily heard and i love the new chorus. So rather than switching it, i am happy that i can now play two distinct versions of my favorite song. Caint wait for those big projects, hope you are staying safe and happy.
I'd love to hear your very first song remastered. :D It's the first song I heard from you and I've been following ever since over 5 years ago now. I can't believe you still heart almost every comment. Thank you for that
I listened to the first version of that song so often that this oe feels kind of off, but it also feels that the overall quality on this one is better than before. I really enjoy your songs a lot, especially these slower darker songs. If you wanna give some of your other songs a remaster, I sugest your first Frostpunk rap. It´s great and I found you trough that, but I´m curious what you can get out of that song
"I think there's some-" Well Stupes, hope you resurrect soon to create other masterpieces. Once again, amazing job on this remaster that sounds cleaner even though the first was already excellent. Congratulations and happy new year 2021 at the same time :D
I've seen a lot of comments about the chorus being better in the original, but in my opinion the new chorus sounds way better (and so does the whole song!) Good job :)
After listening to this a couple of times, I prefer this remaster. Something about the music and the new timings make it feel like its own song while still paying homage to the original. Plus lets be fair; we see 'The Stupendium' upload. We click. We like. We enjoy. Keep up the great work and looking forward to the next remaster. :)
I'll throw my opinion out and say that I think the newer version is overall a huge improvement from start to finish. I can kinda see the point of the old chorus being a little more creepy and sinister, but I think the newer version is more... clean, I suppose? It's more fitting - if Agent 47 was a deranged, unhinged kind of guy maybe, but as the cold hard killer he is I think the new version fits the tone of the game more. And the last few lines of the last verse just... tugs on the little garotte wires I have instead of heartstrings
I still like the dim distortion if the old one that gave a air of mystery to it, especially for lines like "the sound of a coin on the ground" and the chorus but this is still plenty good, the changes aren't bad, just different and the want to remaster old work shows how you are dedicated to your work. Looking forward to the notifications ringing in through 2021!
So i know i'm a *little* late to the party. (cough three weeks) But i cannot get enough of that last little tidbit for. "As your fingernails are fighting against the tightening of the wire" The tune for it fits perfectly and draws the entire element of constant aversion together wonderfully. i wanted to commend on that specifically because i love it. Great stuff as always
Aye, much better sound mixing and quality to this version! I'm glad you're happier with it. I adore all of your work, but I much more so preferred the bass-ier chorus of the previous version. This high tenor sound is far more discordant compared to the lower octave spoken portions. Thank you for all of your work.
I like this version, but I honestly like the original more. That may just be due to familiarity, but I felt it flowed better and felt a bit more raw, which helped with the whole "I am going to murder you vibe" Quality is way up, old chorus just felt better. Can't wait for your next project.
Everyone's entitled to a favourite! The chorus in the old one was out of tune which maybe added to the eeriness, but I prefer it now the tuning is correct. But the original will stay where it is for those who prefer it, it's one of my personal favourite songs I've done lyrically so I'm just happy you like either version! :)
@@TheStupendium Exactly. I am super glad you have a version you are proud of. Looking back at past work and being disappointed by it is frustrating and you're so talented, I am glad you're getting to make things the way they are in your head, rather than being limited by technical or knowledge limitations :D
The flow of this remastered edition feels much smoother to me - well done. And what should I say - one more time you put together a remarkable ode! This time not 47 but his 'art' is in the main focus and I love it! There are so many classic, outstanding, cool and/or brutal kills listed here - no question about the person who masters them all ;-)
Holy shit.....how did I miss this?!?! God it's so good! Seriously this is an awesome remaster that stands out and builds upon what the original did :D Truely another stupendous song from stupendium
Honestly...I like BOTH! The original chorus is eerie and haunting and this new one just emphasizes the fear in your voice, when singing about Agent 47. Great work. 😁👍
I did not expect one of my favorites to be redone this year, but recently many surprises have been occuring. Honestly, I would keep this song on loop for hours at a time, playing Minecraft, Roblox, and other games. Now, I have to keep THIS one on loop- and I'm not complaining. You clearly took your time to trim this masterpiece into an even greater work of art and it shows clearer than day. I love the new added sound effects to simulate the assassinations and the fact that I can distill vocals from the beat. Not to mention that the entire thing just sounds great. I love the revamped vocals so much, I even replay certain parts to just hear the awesomeness again. Anyways, sorry for making you reading this entire thing, have a good day/night, and continue with these great works of art! P.S. you deserve a vacation, I think you've done a lot of great work recently and you might need a break-
Ah yes, The Second II, or, perhaps, The Second (The Second). Jokes aside, listening to this is surreal because the old one is so ingrained in my head that it's taken, like, 3 listens to be able to hear this song without having the old one layered on top of it (seriously, I've heard the original... many times; you, as the creator, hear every little flaw, but I still maintain that it has a lot to recommend it), and then, like, 5 more to get a feel for the song itself again. I definitely like the high instrumental line you added in the chorus (and 'Scraping' to the end). Obviously, there are a few moments in here that are pure payoff; very satisfying. I'm talking, of course, about 'Last Breath' and 'Accidentally Drown.' And it's interesting because 'The sound of a coin on the ground' up until 'Accidentally Drown' is probably the single remaster that's taking the most getting used to, but 'Accidentally Drown' is one of the strongest payoffs in the whole song, and I definitely think the new version sets it up way better. Also, I don't know what exactly you were doing with the long 'I's at the end of verse 1 (Extremely tight harmonic? Reverb?), but they came out almost hypnotic, which definitely improves the experience. Ultimately, this has already been shuffled into my Spotify, and I look forward to seeing it crop up (even though I'll miss the gunshot and ringing of brass at the end of the youtube version).
In the words of Adam Neely - 'repetition legitimizes'. The more I'll listen to this, the more i'll like it. But i still do prefer the rendition of 'can't stall destiny/what was meant to be' from the original, it had this ethereal, angelic quality about it. Good job, nevertheless!
I absolutely loved this song originally, now lets see if the remaster is just as good (EDIT: Just a second into it and the new beat is killer as all fuck, completely dropped the old one, absolutely murdered it)
This new version has grown on me immensely, having now 100% the trilogy with this playing in the background as I finally shut down the ICA for good. It was a cathartic experience, and this song made it all the more special- and while I originally agreed with others thinking the original was creepier, I think the more melodic chorus of this one adds a lot more to the atmosphere. It sounds like a choir of angels warning the targets of their fate. I loved the original and I love this one even more. Thanks for the remaster, Stupes!
Why did UA-cam wait three days to show me this? I have notifications on, I should have seen this on Friday, love this. The original was one of my favorites, and this one is even better.
If you're considering going back and remixing some of your other older songs, I'd be quite interested to see a newer take on your very first gaming rap: And Then I Prey.
I always love when you do remasters! It doesn't matter if you prefer the original or the new one; the fact that you took the time to improve your work - even though it was already perfect :) - means a lot. Awesome job!
The British empire needs YOU To help break UA-cam[and get you more subscribers, because you are honestly the best musician on the platform and you deserve a hell of a lot more]!
The Stupendium, you shocked me more than the victim was when the toaster fell into the bath. I am rarely ever surprised but I am so blown away by how amazing you made this and it was already one of my favorite songs from you. You truly are amazing.
Overall i liked the things you did, but the new chorus really caught me of guard. I doubt you will do that but maybe make another version where you don´t change the chorus? I doubt you will even see this comment but its worth an try i guess.
I went through a phase of listening to the old version on repeat, and let me tell you this version seemed very similar, with a few sound effects introduced, then it got to the chorus and I was blown away by how good it sounded
LYRICS:
VERSE 1
There's a shape in the shadows
There’s a chill in the air
But he won't let you get rattled
You won't know that he’s there
There's no way to do battle
when you're caught unaware
One blink and he'll be gone
and you’ll be dead in your chair
Or was he even there?
Can you even prepare?
For a reckoning a second into catching the glare
Of a barrel when the bullets already in the air
Or the chemicals already have your vision impaired
As you try to place the face of that sommelier
When you're gonna win the race
but find the brakes aren't there
On a knife's edge
placed between the fumes and the flare
That last breath
with a glove in your hair
He’s a master of disguise
He's an artist with a knife.
He will catch you by surprise
Just a quack and you ignite
There's no faster a demise
Were you happy with your life?
‘Cause it didn't have the time
Left to flash before your eyes
CHORUS
No one ever recalls the second
They first come across 47
Because before you've drawn a breath in
47’s got you on the floor, forgetting
If you only could pause a second
Can’t stall destiny
halt what's meant to be
No protection we
all get reckoned the
Cause of death will be 47
VERSE 2
You can tighten violence
By refining the appliance of it
Open up your eyes
to find the sight of an appliance dropping
Right into the bath
without a chance to even try and stop it
Blur behind the curtain
and it’s curtains on your crime biopic
The same as yesterday?
Oh, there's a new chef today
I'm sure he can prepare
that very rare fish in that special way
Also we can't find the guy
we hired just to test your plates
Plus all of your henchmen
went and left to go investigate
The sound of a coin on the ground
And not a shred of evidence will ever be found
Take a trip to the facilities with no-one around
Ain't it tragic how a man can accidentally drown
You've locked the door,
you're in your most secure of quarters when
It's been a little while since your security reported in
A sudden force
and then you'll wish you'd brought your snorkel in
They find your body bobbing in a mortuary of porcelain
CHORUS
No one ever recalls the second
They first come across 47
Because before you've drawn your weapon
You're already taking that fall from heaven
If you only could pause a second
Can’t stall your destiny
halt what's meant to be
No protection we
all get reckoned the
Cause of death will be 47
VERSE 3
Most people went to bed
and they simply never woke
Take solace in the knowledge
that your death will be bespoke
Hand crafted
All wrapped up in leather as you choke
Every execution executed excellently so
Any single person could be 47 lurking
He could be working in burger king
Strychnine in your onion rings
Snuffing out your underlings
‘fore you get to wondering
You'll be bloodied
stuffed into a cupboard in your underthings
It's the last creak
as you stand beneath the chandelier
It’s the gas leak
when you candlelit for atmosphere
It’s the last beat
as your heart receives the formula
The red streak
when the beam hits your cornea
The mouthfeel
of your unintended last meal
The weapons test
where you forget to check the blast seals
The sunset
as your body's doing cartwheels
Straight over the edge of a ledge
Or it's the hard steel
Scraping on your ribs
As you shiver and expire
It's the first red fleck
on your impeccable attire
It's your throat torn to shreds
as you’re dying to respire
As your fingernails are fighting
against the tightening of the wire
It's a second to forgive
It's a second to forget.
Every second you have lived
For this second of regret.
Every second is a gift
So be careful how you spend
‘Cause the second that you’ve met him
Is the second that It ends
Thx so much
hitman with a hit plan
Is the second that it ends
Nice

Stupendium: "I hated how it sounded so I redid it"
Me: "Oh, finally someone else who does that"
my friend, artists worldwide do that constantly, and will forever wish to do that over and over without end.
As a writer, I feel this so hard.
Civvie redid his entire Blood 2 video cause he thought the old was too bad. Called it rawmastered.

A not-so-silent assassin in music
The part: "The sound of a coin on the ground
/ And not a shred of evidence will ever be found/ Take a trip to the facilities with no-one around/ Ain't it tragic how a man can accidentally drown" - Now sounds so rich and becomes more hard-hirring with rach line...

You know, I STILL can’t get over how much I love the slim shady reference in this song, both the original and the remaster are great!! Also, I think you and Tom Lehrer are the only two men who can successfully pull off “strychnine” as a lyric.

the opinion noone asked for: honestly think the old chorus sounded better but overall there is definitely a more... crisp sound to the track? Don't know if that's the right word but everything is clearly of a higher quality.
But what matters is you are happy with your work! Can't wait for more :D
You're the second person to say they prefer the old chorus! Which is totally fine, just surprising to me as the old one was out of tune. xD
But I guess that added to the creepy, ominous vibe. It always bothered me but it's nice to know that at least some people liked it! :P
@@TheStupendium yeah felt more spooky basically. Regardless you should always try to be happy with your work. Which I know is hard for any artist.
@@TheStupendium Yep, I think that´s the thing that made it special :D
I also prefer the older one but I think that is just how taste works: everyone has an individual one.

It is a hit that you took the job to remaster it, now everyone will recall the second, it was excellently executed!
How many puns do you want?
You: Yes
He could be working in burger king, strychnine in your onion rings."
Is such a neat little reference, I love it.
Thank you so much for the re-evaluation! I'm glad you are enjoying the remaster! :)
@@TheStupendium Holy crap I didn't expect a reply! Hahaha! But yeah definitely am, and am glad I took the time to do it ^^, an artist's hard work to continue improving, and being willing to take the risk of trying something old again should always be rewarded!

The first time this song came out, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. It took me some time to appreciate the lyrics so now, I can enjoy this remaster even more. Good job Sir !
Not sure if it was directly intended after hearing it but the line “He could be workin in Burger King strychnine your onion rings” is (or at least seems to be) a Easter egg to Eminem’s ‘The Real Slim Shady’ with the line being “And every single person is a Slim Shady lurking he could be workin in Burger King spittin in your onion rings, or in the parking lot circling screaming ‘I don’t give a f**k’ with his windows down and his system up”
It's really great to see artists go back and update their older work. It's the kinda thing that doesn't need to happen but only does positive things.
At first, I thought “ah , so the beat’s the main thing changed”, and then “last breath” was uttered and I got chills. It’s a splendid remaster, and still a damn good song
Hands down one of the best video game songs I've ever heard
Ooo! I've got chills! That is dynamic change. This is one of my classics. The word play is the stuff of legend. More remasters, please!
I think he was going for the angelic angle

Ngl, I love how creepy the old one was but this one sounds a lot nicer. It’s a 50/50 split for me
After listening to this a couple of times, I prefer this remaster.
Dang... He always makes it sound good, no matter what type of song.
3 was a masterpiece, even if it didn’t add much in the way of gameplay mechanics. Glad to see Stupendium is equally on point!
That may just be due to familiarity, but I felt it flowed better and felt a bit more raw, which helped with the whole "I am going to murder you vibe"
Quality is way up, old chorus just felt better.
I thought that the first one was amazing, but this, this is 10 levels above!! The small details are insane!
Your Songs Are So Great And Good To Listen To
One of your finest works, I still listen to it on my way to work.
Quite honestly, I like the older better. The chorus in this just sounded weird to me. Still, keep up the amazing songs!
I know, what you mean. But I probably heard the old song just a few hundred times to often.
This song already was a bop, but now you just leveled it up to theme song material!
Maybe Stupendium is the real Hitman cus he hit all those lines perfectly!
Why did UA-cam wait three days to show me this? I have notifications on, I should have seen this on Friday, love this. The original was one of my favorites, and this one is even better.
I never heard the first one, but this was pretty enjoyable.
