If you are looking for a simple way to get some more acceleration and throttle snappiness out of your GY6 engine, this is the ticket. The GY6 flywheel comes in .25 of a pound lighter then the stock qmj157 flywheel. If you are trying to pull every bit of power out it’s worth the investment.
That things sounds angry when you open it up. 🤣. Great vid Matt!
Man I love the flywheel puller I picked up the exact same one and it works on so many different bikes. The only ones I can't pull with it are the 50-110cc Honda clones they use a weird flywheel/mag.
Make sure you check your stator bolts while you're there. Had mine pull out from the magneto magnet and tore the stator all up!
Steve from Annapolis keep up the good work can't wait to try it
Love the exhaust! Nice!
50 cc ma to samo magneto co 125cc?
When's the clutch gonna be in stock?
This week :-)
I added one to my GET and it performs wonderful
Now I'm thinking about installing a reveno clutch
it makes sense to lighten a flywheel on an engine that needs to increase rpm to accelerate the vehicle. A gy6 however runs at a constant rpm until the cvt has run out of range. How is a light weight flywheel going to help anything other than after the cvt range is exhausted? Normaly an engine will develop slightly less power, but be able to deliver more of what power is left to the wheels. When you have a light weight flywheel.
I am not sure this modification is beneficial.
It doesn’t matter the engine, what it’s in or even if it’s cvt. When something has lighter rotating mass it’s easier to spin, resulting in better performance.
You can also just drop your roller weight to get more spin.
But dont complain when they get the death leak from spooling them out.
I float 50mph at only 6200rpm on 13" wheels.
@@RollingWrench I cut mass from the ends of my clutch shoes and had a stiff enough control spring to hold the variator open until significantly higher rpm even with 16g sliders. The clutch grabbed at about 5500 rpm and then the variator dragged the rpm down to 4000. It was a very strong launch. It got even stronger after I added more flywheel weight.
there is a big block of zinc on the far end of the clutch shoes. You can drill a hole into the weight and experiment with different spring and weight combinations by changing the drill size.
you probably have a pile of shoes you can play with.
maybe you could even develop an aluminum shoe with an interchangeable brass or led weight on the end.
zinc is sort of too weak and heavy to be a good material but it's "ok".
carbon fiber with tungsten weights on the ends would be the dream 😳
@@noneshere what do you mean with "death leak"? 🤔
@@RollingWrench maybe at the start but in full throttle will lose end power
Awesomeness 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Great product will be looking to get this soon what was the exhaust on the bike I really like that one wonder would it fit on a 50cc Kymco bike
Thanks! The exhaust is a Hotlap 666
hey man have you ever seen the utv's with the gy6? I have a few have some questions. please help 😂
Sirchow about the top speed it change?
Hey rolling wrench I was wondering if you guys make ruckus for people? Could yall put one together for a person?
We actually stopping doing custom builds for customers. However, we will have our own builds out soon :-)
@@RollingWrench thank you for the reply, right on man. I love your videos, you are an inspiration.
Hi, when will the "GY6 Lightened Flywheel" be in stock?
Do you shipping to Germany?
???
I nedd your help, i have a GY6 engine with injection, i must change the head on my 1P39QMB 50ccm and now he dont start, I suspect that I have set the ignition incorrectly or so can you tell me how I set everything correctly or do you have a detailed video of how everything is set?
Qmb139 won’t work with efi. The stator power ain’t enough to keep the battery charged…. Unfortunately
how bout considering a honda ruckus with a PCX engine that would be a great one... keep it up
Those swaps are sweeet! I would love to do one. However the pcx is very difficult to get for reproductive building :-( I have a few buddy’s that have done it. It’s A+++
I have a gy6 "moto bravo super hornet" 150cc. Technically its a "2014 Leike" but its known as a super hornet.
2 questions.
1. Do they make performance front forks? And do you sell them?
2. Do you sell fairings for this? Lmk thanks bud. Love ur channel
Where do we find titanium valves?
Would this work on a efi 150 gy6 in a 2021 rzr ranger 150??
I definitely can't do this myself because I'm not the delicate type.
Sure you can! It’s mega simple. Follow the steps of the video and use the proper torque setting. Have a little more confidence brother man :-)
@@RollingWrench I will try, I learn better with videos than I to from books anyways, I don't exactly know how smart I am but people always tell me I'm smarter than I think.
Do you lose the timing marks on the flywheel from milling off the 100 grams?
No :-)
When the efi coming back
I purchase a coil new but when installing, l turned the motor and upon starting the top dead Center was lost.
My comment isn't about achieving TDC though its about what this port on my new valve head, but, about what this port is for and if, it (the port) has to plugged for the engine to run correctly?
That port is a pair valve. We sell block off plates if you are not using it: www.rollingwrenchdenver.com/products/gy6-pair-valve-valve-block-off-plate
@@RollingWrench it's a port on the top of the cylinder jug just to the right and just under the carburetor on my old jug it was plugged but the new jugs isn't plugged.
Will there be a version for qmb139?
GY6 scooter is almost fully aftermarket the engine is in the whole bike itself all I Gotta do change the engine mount bushings change the freaking stater in the fly wheel to aftermarket and finish my CVT I spent $200 on a CVT itself and I have to freaking spend 100 for the kit that went with it but they didn’t come with it unfortunately so that’s 300 altogether once that’s fully done it will totally be an aftermarket engine everything brand new spanking new anyways I’m happy freaking happy about that is a high performance CVT Taiwanese engine CVT
What's the best performance exhaust for a gy6 150cc?
I like hotlap
I think I need this…
Heck yaaa! Every bit counts
Ordered…
I have a 4 stroke kymco agility 50 cc With a kg10sa motor I'm looking for a big bore kit
This is the ticket :www.rollingwrenchdenver.com/products/chinese-scooter-80cc-big-bore-kit
@@RollingWrench do you have a 100cc bbk
ill try this soon thanks bro
At what rev. The scooter engine loses horse 🐴 power ?? no matter how fast it rotates, because this is what im afraid getting of making every thing lighter.
Lol pretty much you do that with basically the CVT rollers you get heavier ones for higher torque and the lighter ones for quick acceleration this is what you do when you have a scooter you have to mix and match you can easily lighten the fly will it make your bike accelerate faster and have quicker horsepower but you have to work with your bike you get what I’m saying but I don’t think even all of that acceleration would do much if you have a bike with really really extreme high in horsepower you my accelerate freaking faster but what is that going to do if he catch up in momentum and beat you anyways .? That’s the question and that’s my answer like that’s why I don’t understand why people get the bigger engine the 150 in the engine is heavier it might go faster but it’s way heavier i’d rather just make my bike a 90 lights and everything and try to make the engine and build the engine up as best as I can it will go a lot faster just because it’s lighter like they say the fourth strokes are way heavier than the two strokes the lighter engine is a little bit more compatible with the two-stroke just because it’s light the lighter you can go is the 50 engine and you could just do a lot more with the 50 then the bigger one when it comes to engine in my humble opinion
Gy6 just dont last long 1 the death leaks to being. The 150s only hold .75 of a liter
It´s not the all true , iff you have a haevy rotated mass , you have a more torque . Light version you need if you want a more horse power on 7-9rpm, but nothing power down and eat a fuel like nothing :D .
Lol you are dead wrong lightening your fly will it accelerates the bike meaning you get more acceleration the heavier one you get more horsepower are you on drugs sir You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about that’s the whole point of this video he was making the fly wheel lighter so he can get quicker acceleration that’s how these bikes or if you lighten something you’re making a rpm slower if you don’t to rpm will be higher
Your exhaust on that GY6 sounds awfully loud
It’s pretty loud. I pulled the baffle out
@@RollingWrench im interested in the efi kit but its lil pricey ! any time the cost is coming down on your site? because alley express has the same one alot more reasonable price, i rather keep money to smaller company's to be honest
@@toddlittles2786 actually I am in the process of building a ecu that will have auto tune features and will be a lot more user friendly, with app based tuning. However, the price will be around $1k. Although the kit on AliExpress looks similar, it is far from the same kit. I will keep everyone posted. I understand the cost does not appeal to many people. Unfortunately that’s what it takes to pull it off.
@@RollingWrench the reason i asked you about ur efi is because im thinking on doing a odd thing! riding a moped from det. to the florida keys to la. i hoping i could get in touch with you cause i was hoping to cut out sum fuel cost with your product
If you want faster acceleration and higher top speed, it’s really simple. Buy a motorcycle.
Jaaammmess jaaammmmess jaaammmmesss! This is the hobby. Something is fun about making slow things fast. But ya, you are correct. You can always buy a motorcyle :-)
That BMW " birdcage " is 1 sweet ride.
Where can I find an aluminum clutch pulley?
They have been out of stock. I’ll add them to the site when they come back
