    Where did you get that build plate holder? And which flex plate did you get for your Saturn 2 8K? I don’t know which one I’m supposed to be getting they have three versions.

      www.thingiverse.com/thing:4634693/makes PhoenixBlueStudios has a file available on Thingiverse! I have an original Saturn - but measure your plate in millimeters (length x width), and you should see the dimensions available on WhamBam for the one that matches.

      @@KannonStudiosOfficial thank you for replying back to me. I truly appreciate that. I actually just received my 8K and curing and wash station from Amazon this morning. Just waiting for my flex plate my slat mats and my heat box to come Thursday.

    My Saturn is only half-unpacked because I want the first print (the castle test print) to be with the flexible plate attached (which I've also got). A lot of people say to use a Z stop extender to keep the plate from descending too far against the glass and FEP (there's even a file for this on Thingiverse). But seriously you did not need to do anything other than re-level and your Saturn is working fine? Nobody has gone into any details about the machine side of things with these plates, only raves about how awesome these are and how to apply them. Applying the plate to the build surface is really only 50% of the installation - the other half is Z stop adjustment and re-leveling, but nobody is including that second half of installation in their videos. (You are fantastic, by the way!)

      For both the Saturn and the Mars all I did was re-level the machine and make sure the build plate set screws were loose. The build plates had enough clearance in the depression of the leveling spring to allow just that (granted, it's almost to the max of that adjustment). I haven't had any issues personally doing it this way. Taking the extra precautions of the Z-stop extender are not a bad idea though :) For my CNC printer I did have to adjust the z-axis but it wasn't complicated.

      @@KannonStudiosOfficial Thanks for replying! Elegoo replied as well saying all that's needed is re-leveling and reset of the Z axis position, so I think I'll just do that and call it good.

    Where did you get/find the file for the drip bracket that just lives on the mars?

    Awesome tutorial thank you! Did you have any trouble with the wham bam on your Saturn? Or was it just a simple install and re-level? Also, what file did you use for your drip/holder on your build plate?

      Thanks! Adding the plate on the Saturn and my Mars I did not have any issues. It was still able to level. I need to track down that file,.. but I did get it on thinkeverse as well as leveling feet. There are also other files on there that people made to be used.

    Did you need to print the z-spacer for your Saturn? In my haste to get the FBS installed I forgot to print the spacer, which you need to do beforehand. So I'm really hoping it's not necessary lol.

    • @KannonStudiosOfficial
      @KannonStudiosOfficial  3 роки тому +1

      I have never used the spacer. I measured the distance so i knew it would be fine. Machines may vary so you don't want to break the glass.

      Okay, I unscrewed the bolts on the build plate, and re-leveled the build plate, tightened the bolts, then backed out to the main page of the menu and hit the "Set Z=Zero" button, and that seems to have reset the Z axis. About to do a new print, so hopefully that worked. Fingers crossed!
