StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm is an upcoming expansion pack to the military science fiction real-time strategy game StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and part two of the planned StarCraft II trilogy.The game is expected to have around 20 missions, and will continue the story from Wings of Liberty.

one of the moments i most enjoyed from this game was playing the last mission from heart of the swarm and asolating augustgrad with a 200/200 supply army with this soundtrack in the background
Arcturus deserved to see his dominion crumble in front of him.
I ahd a supply army of 175 the rest were workers so I pulled kerrigan all my overlord and overseers,workers queen's and my entire army a moving into August graduation shouting no mercy at the top of my lungs and you can only imagine how cool drones pushing in alongside your army looks like
i felt the power of the zerg when i played the game for the first time, oh man, i love the options of choosing in which direction the swarm should evolve, i focused on overwhelming the enemy with sheer numbers of high damage units (the mutations i picked for each unit focused on damage), i steamrolled through every mission, whenever one of my creatures died 10 more took its place

The Zerg are really fucking terrifying. An endless horde of evolving monsters that can adapt to any situation. As long as at least one of them survives they will rise again and again until their adapted enough to take you down.
By far the best OST in SC2 history

This song/theme/music, is F*ing sweeet!!! love the climax and the feeling of desperation and chaos it creates!!! its so good!!!
i'm picturing Kerrigan standing tall on top of a statute of Arcturus Mengsk and a wave of Ultralisks, Hydralisks, and Zerglings charging towards the center square
when you are a terran player and you hear the first few tunes, you know that you are screwed!

Always when I imagine that I´m overruning someone with a lot of weak troops in any RTS game, this music just plays in my head
I have a confession to make. Zerg were my least favorite race to play.
Until the first time this song played in the HotS campaign as I was massing my enemy's base. I laughed an evil laugh as I crushed my foes with superior numbers and I fell in love with the swarm.
In the end I'm better for it as now I truly enjoy playing all races in StarCraft. They all have their own unique way of being awesome.
Here are the strengths and weaknesses that i find for each race
Strengths
Zerg: Fast spreading, incredible mutations, quick army buildups, natural healing
Protoss: Their shields, superb abilities, cloaks, warp
Terran: Advanced technology, Nukes, Scan, advantages against protoss as they have lockdown, advantages against zerg as they have tanks, the ability to heal with medic
Weakness
Zerg: Less armor, burrow can be detected, hatchery is the only hope of army
Protoss: No way of healing, no pylon results unpowered which means lose, slow buildup
Terran: Repairing building is slow and costs minerals,medic is only hope for healing so you need to protect them unless you have a huge army, command center can be infested, if you dont build detectors in time you will be easily defected by lurkers and/or dark templars and/or any cloaked units
Overall weakness: If somehow your enemy succeeds on destroying all of your nexuses/hatcheries/command centers before your army suppliers, your remaining resources are your last
I'm a Protoss main myself, but I do some games as Zerg. Only times I've ever played Terran was during campaign and twice with friends.

I need more music like this. Is there even a genre specifically for pure musical badass?
This is industrial metal. it was pretty big in the 90s. If you want stuff like this, look at bands like Sonic Mayhem, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Stabbing Westward, Static-X, Genitorturers, Ministry, Pitchshifter, Murder Inc., Rammstein, Godhead and Dope to run off the popular ones.
Personally, I think this song sounds very similar to A Perfect Circle's "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums" more than anything else.
You might want to check out psyclon nine, spectrum-X and Ludovico Technique if you are still interested in music like this

This was when Blizzard was still good. The HotS opening cinematic remains one of the best they've made. You see the Terrans, despite being well-prepared, simply unable to match the numbers and ferocity of the Zerg. No matter how many they kill - thousands, millions, even billions of Zerg - the Zerg JUST. KEEP. COMING.
But nowadays? Blizzard has really lost its edge.

Honestly, my biggest complaint about Heart Of The Swarm is how short it is. Perhaps that's why i feel like it was rushed. Maybe if they made it as long as WOL than i would like it more, which is dissapointing as the Zerg are my favorite Starcraft faction.

Here is my list of variance for my Zerg Army:
1, Raptor strain for the zerglings, if you can't see em coming, then it's your funeral!
2, Hunter strain for my mary little suicide bombers! Aka Banelings. See reason of Zergling Evolution for more.
3, Corpser strain Roaches! More Roaches, more power!!
4, Impaler strain for Hydralisks! If they were good for the Overmind, then the next best thing is to make those sunken colonies able to get up and walk-around!
5, Viper strain Mutalisks! One word: "Taxi!!"
6, Carrion strain swarm host! Fly my pretties!! Fly!!
And last but not least!
7, Torrasque strain Ultralisks!! I'm getting my minerals worth with this one!!
