First time I've ever seen daggerfall and I see what people mean about older RPGs giving you the opportunity for in depth roleplaying. Low tech but still so many options
There are a couple of suggestions I have for further adjusting the controls. The big one is remapping Activate Center Object to Left Click. This will mean that talking, opening, doors, looting, using levers, etc. can all be done just by looking and clicking, which I find to be the intuitive expectation; more intuitive than Morrowind's defaults too. The cursor mode will basically only be needed if you need to be a bit more precise. I then remapped the interact modes from F1-F4 to just 1-4. With info on 1, talk on 2, since they will be the more commonly used options. Info mode can be rather useful, if you inspect a named building it will tell you the name, opening hours, and add it to the map without needing to ask an NPC about it. I also remap Float Up and Float Down to T and G, to make levitation a bit more comfortable, and Cast Spell to E, Recast to R, and Abort Spell to Q, since these just seemed to make a bit more sense but cast on E is a lot more useable than Backspace.
a demo of this game on a magazine was enough to make me fall in love with the entire serie, and never abandomned it since then
