hello Friend, 1. the housing of my air filter is cracked, such that dirt is getting in where it shouldn't. 2.Also, only one clasp is remaining, the other 3 are missing, so temporarily I duct taped the upper part of the housing to the lower part, could that be dangerous? 3. Also, is it normal for the air filter housing to be a bit hot after driving about 20 minutes? It's not hot enough to burn my skin but it's still hot thank you
My check engine light came on in my car, p0101. I tried replacing the mass air flow sensor but it doesn’t seem to be the issue. I did notice that the intake pipe (the part that you took off and put back on) in my car is broken, could that be a cause for perhaps the check engine light turning on?
I had that problem, use the spray to clean mine instead of buying a new one that a video recommended and light was still on but then I reset (took battery cable of for about an hour) and it hasn't come back on since...it's been about 2 1/2 months now.
I’m all about saving money but those newer cars you should never mess with nothing not even the oil use a license mechanic and not cheapest person you can find lol
Thank you for a clear example
Cool
Thanx a lot I bought today Sentra 2016 it's very good video for me to change filter thanx buddy.
Glad it helped
Thanks. This helps a lot. Keeps me from taking apart too many items.
Cool
Excellent video. It looks do-able!
It is
It's easier if you take off the cold air tube first...
What's the hose below the inlet piece? Is that supposed to go into the inlet?
This was a customer car
It's the air intake the removed piece is outside the inlet is inside
Wow... Arnold knows about mechanic..and he's a youtuber?..great!!

Earlier this year I was told I would have to replace it soon and today my check engine light came on could the filter be the cause?
Yes
those peices come apart its easier if you take the pipe part off first
Yes
How often do you recommend changing the filter?
Depends on how you drive and the climate. Usually every oil change.
Nissan maintenance interval for air filter is 30,000 miles. If you live real dusty location may want to check at 15 or 20k
What kind of air filter is this? Do they sell it on amazon or can I use a different maker?
Yes they do, use any filter that's recommended.
Is difficult
