From Wikipedia:
Crossville is a city in and the county seat of Cumberland County, Tennessee, United States. It is part of the Crossville, TN Micropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 12,071 at the 2020 census.
Crossville developed at the intersection of two major stage roads by which settlers moved through the area. The roads were gradually widened, improved and turned into paved roads. Two major federal highways: U.S. Route 70, which traverses Tennessee from east to west, and U.S. Route 127, which traverses Tennessee from north to south, now roughly follow the old routes. Interstate 40, which runs roughly parallel to U.S. 70, passes through the northern part of Crossville. Crossville is approximately 35 miles (56 km) east of Cookeville, 80 miles (130 km) north of Chattanooga, and 70 miles (110 km) west of Knoxville.
My home town! We moved down here from Albany NY last year and really like the area. It's small but it's still big enough to have everything you need
It's growing pretty fast too
Seeing two replies, from Albany & the Hudson Valley, with positive remarks about Crossville is very reassuring. I’m from upstate New York and Crossville is the top of my list for towns to visit and retire to in a couple years
I'm sure its a fine place if you're retired, but there is nothing to do there if you're under 60. No rec centers, no arcades, not even a movie theater.
Bars? Strip clubs? Anything ?
That's not true at all
I love living in Crossville, moved here last year from the Hudson Valley New York and this the place to be. I'm never leaving.
I’m from upstate New York and seriously considering Crossville when I retire in two years

As of now I've been here almost a year and a half, it's really a beautiful place and if you like golf you'll love it.Of course like any other places there are areas to stay away from due to the methamphetamine users, and the problem with that is nobody will tell you about it you kinda have to find out on your own. But the people are really friendly and the area is beautiful.
Ive watched my hometown grow so much in my life time. it seems huge compared to 50 yrs ago but still a friendly Town...born and raised..thank you!
It’s a great place to live. My only wish is the timing of this drive was in the Spring time to Early Summer as it’s so beautifully GREEN! I’ve lived here now 6 years and this is my home. Great people here that are friendly, kind, willing to help their neighbors and believe in values (God, family & America).
What happened to the Bean Pot restaurant that used to be right there in Crossville?
It closed down and it just sits there empty now
@@michaelggolliher5691 damn that used to be a good eating place
I have been to Crossville a few times--my parents live in Faifield Glade(just outside Crossville). I always come down for Thanksgiving. I am glad that you are showing the area. I haven't been to Buc-ees yet though!

Next time you visit them, roll the window down and give me a shout! We love this place.
I lived there from January 1986 to September 1987, as a teenager. I'm amazed I was there so young, such a short time, so long ago, and I still recognize everything. Right there on the right at N. Main and Taylor, that red brick bldg used to be Hotel Taylor. We stayed there when we first came to Crossville. It's at 3:27 in the video. At the next corner on the right, right around the corner on the right, are some apts, we lived in. Further down, those gray apts on the right used to be a motel called, The Capri-Terrace. We stayed there, too. Down at the Windmere Mall, that Faith Hope Love church used to be a two screen movie theater that we all went to back then, right next to Gondola's restaurant, which is still there. Amazing how you hold onto things...
Thank you for the tour of Crossville. We discovered this town-almost-like-our-hometown back in 1993, on our first visit to Fairfield Glade. We have made numerous return visits for short vacations and enjoyed many plays at the Cumberland County Playhouse. Haven't made it since Buc-ees opened but are going in the near future.
Nice drive in Crossville Tennessee. My parents been to Bucees in Crossville Tennessee
Where's the little town square?
If charm & community isn't your thing, it looks like the place to be.
Box stores, chain restaurants & shopping centres.
My hometown 😂 is not much of a city. I love it for what it is.
In Crossville Tennessee a lot of people hang cars from trees for some unknown reason. People in town call them Snuffy Smiths. Just plain weird you would have to be there

I have visited Crossville three times. Twice just last year (Feb/Aug). I have friends who live in the Fairfield Glade area just north of town. The Bucees is new since last year.
Absolutely love the people, the nearby scenery, the churches and God fearing folks. More down to earth folks are impossible to find.
I'm moving there in a few days. Looking for a good church

As of me writing this comment, me and my husband just got back from our Christmas vacation to crossville (literally like 3 hours ago), where I’m originally from. I miss it every day. It’s certainly grown from the small quaint town I grew up in. But my heart still lies in that town. We eventually want to move back.
Oh I hope there's still room. I haven't been to TN but I've drawn to the Cumberland region. ❤
Great Video, I liked it when you pulled into Buc-ees. What did you use to edit?
