Loved this, although I think there should be some restrictions to pair the couples up with their main partners as that gives an unfair advantage. Probably somewhat hard in practice to know where to draw the line though as everyone there has probably danced with each other to some extent...
You could enforce that at the invitational level but for all the other levels it's going to be a chore to keep track, especially if the strictly comes after

aren't the competitors for all competitions known before the event?
They all compete and teach with each other lol
A rule like this would also discourage new partnerships for competitions because they would be penalized later
