From UK, wish I could visit New Orleans and experience the culture
.... WE CALL THIS SKIFFLE IN EUROPE .... WITH PEOPLE LIKE THAT THAT KIND OF MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE ... BEST OF RESPECT FROM NORTHERN IRELAND, GOD BLESS ....
Sadly You Won't Find This Anymore In New Orleans , It's Turned Into A Leftist Progressive Santuary Shitzhole Like Lotsa Other Places , Bourbon Street At One Time Was A Incredible Experience , I Loved The Music You Could Find There , But The Liberal Leftist Maniacs Ruined It As Everything Else They Take Control Of , Sad New Orleans Had To Sink Into The Abyss Of The Globalist Progressive CESSPOOL SEWER , The Government Has Racebaited And Hatemongered Americans Into Destroying Everything Including Our Greatest History , It's Truly Sad
@odeerg well I'll say you got one part of it right anyway ,the leftist I despise so much
Each and everyone, has a wonderful personality!
Great job guys this just prove's that there's still a hope for the future of music
Muchisimas gracias
I miss this so much. When I lived in the Quarter, I lived at the far end of Royal, near Esplanade, and had to walk to Canal every day to go to work. I would leave 2 hours early just to be able to stop and enjoy the music on the way.
Good for you!
My mom says I’m not allowed to eat Haribo anymore
Shay never ceases to amaze me with her talent and versatility.
Love this old-timey music! What's really cool is the comments coming in from all over the world. Music is indeed the universal language.
Shay Cohn on fiddle.... no end to her talent !!
Great tune, well done !!
T Mertens she plays ever thing amazing woman. Tuba Skinny is killer good.
And writes, arranges, conducts . ……..
love the casual tuba walking by at 3:12
went rite by me...thanx...
Five regulars from Tuba Skinny in this jam session. Shaye Cohn on fiddle, Barnabus Jones on fiddle, Ryan Baer on banjo, Ewan Bleach on clarinet, and Todd Burdick on tuba. All of these five musicians play from 3 to 7 instruments.
Barnabus blows my mind...my ears/love his take on Trombone and I think he did some Cornet and now fiddle...
Greg Sherman on the Harmonica
The whole crew,,from left to right: Robert Ayo (washtub bass), Mattew Rivers(bottle),Greg Sherman ( Harmonic), David Najera ( banjo), Matthew Bracken (Guitar, voice), Kevin Thorne ( banjo), R.C Hampton (washboard), Stalebread Scottie (guitar), Todd Burdick ( tuba), Dave Jenkins"Rusty"(guitar with bottle neck), Ryan Baer( banjo) ,Ewan Bleach ( clarinet), Shaye Cohn (fiddle) and Barnaus Jones ( fiddle). There 're four bands playing together (at least part of them) , The Sluetown Strutters, Yes Ma'am, Drunken Catfish Ramblers and Tuba Skinny. ...(thanks Mezz Mezzrow,,)
Forever New Orleans,,,go the Saints..
So Nice Aldo, thanks a million!!! And do you perhaps know any of them, or are in contact somehow??
@@NFONoFadeOut Ohh ,,thanks for posting this gem ,, I'd been studying this vid almost frame by frame for an art project I'm developing about nola street musicians,,,to discover the names is actually the result of the curiosity. , I `d been twice in NOLA couple o years ago , unfortunately never saw any of this guys playing,,in that lovely Royal street..wish I could. ,,,any clue' bout what that vintage typewriter is doing there?
@@AldoVila thanks for your interest! Please tell us more about this art project of yours, we would love to know more about it! I actually do not know what the typewriter does on the scene, but I can guess that it was intended as a rythmic instrument in some other tracvks played by the band before or after the tune I recorded.
Guitar with bottleneck is not Steven Gil, it's "Rusty" Dave Jenkins.
